We are not okay, and that’s okay to say. I wish I could tell you that we are standing here and that the rest of the world is standing with us. With you. Sadly I can’t say that. There is a loud and aggressive minority around the world who doesn’t get, that being murdered at a peace festival does not equal resistance. I do however, know that we are standing here on behalf of all those people in the world, with moral clarity. And there are a lot of them. And there are many who want to be here with you. And they are here with you at heart. On October 7th, your loved ones went to Nova. We call it a peace music festival because that’s what it was—a place to make new friends, to let loos explore and celebrate life. And this juxtaposition hurts the most —because on that day, the light your loved ones were, was met with the most unimaginable darkness. Our lives will never be the same. But today, as we remember them, we also make a promise: to honor their memory by living as they would have. As we stand here in grief, we have a message to the world: we will not be defeated. Israel was attacked on October 7th and every day since, for the crime of existing. For the audacity of just being here. But we are here, and we are here to stay. And despite the trauma we’ve faced, we are in Israel, standing strong together, committed to the memories of those we lost and to the return of our hostages. YOKO ONO: ONOCHORD, VENICE, 2004 Yoko: The world is divided in two industries. One is the War Industry and the other is the Peace Industry. The people in the War Industry are totally together. They don't have to talk to each other, even. They know exactly what they want to do. They want to go out there, kill and make money. But the people in the Peace Industry, which are us - we are so idealistic that each one of us criticises the other Peace Person in the Peace Industry. And we are always just arguing and we are wasting our energies doing that. So let's just forgive each other and see that we are in the Peace Industry and that's all that counts. Even if you are not marching for peace, just be yourself, being a florist, being a merchant, being a talior, anything. That way you're contributing to the Peace Industry. People are just concentrating on fear, confusion and anger. And therefore just for a moment, I'd like us to think about Love. In a very magical, straight way, John and I met in London and from then on we stood for Peace and Love. And when I do this kind of event. Well it is... I was inspired to do it, but I still think that I'm still with John in spirit. John and I created the country called Nutopia. Not Utopia, because there was Utopia as a concept already. 🌎 it seemed like we are close, but we are not that close in the beginning. 🪐 in the beginning, yes. 🌎 We used to fight. 6 months that we didn’t talk to each other, apart from work. But when we spent life together, and understand each other for a while. I feel like there was no reason for us not to talk. Both about work and personal stuff. We truly love each other but we didn’t say that to one another. Something like that krab. 🪐 I have known P’Earth since I was about 15-16 years old. Now I am 28 years old. So we have known each other for about 12 years and work together for 7 years. When we were together, we clearly have our own lifestyle that is different from each other. Our point of view is in the different direction. So when we were together, definitely it’s going to have some problem in the beginning. Just like what P’Earth said, at that time we decided to just work together, and don’t involve in the other’s personal lives. Because at the end it can overlap. I'm thinking about all of their pain and how their lives are being destroyed right in front of us. We’re feeling overwhelmed with gratitude, replaying a million memories in our heads, and trying to find the words to express how much this entire tour has meant to us. First, to every single person who ever sent us a concert video, a clip, a moment, or a tiny piece of your experience: thank you. You helped us bring this tour to people who couldn’t be there in person, and because of you, thousands of fans around the world got to feel a little closer, a little more connected, and a little more included. We truly couldn’t have done any of this without your generosity and love. To Billie and her incredible team: thank you for crafting a show that felt like magic every single night. The passion, artistry, and heart you put into this tour truly touched people in ways that will stay with them forever. This last year and a half has been quite a challenging and equally awesome time. I’ve faced a lot of backlash for what I sing about, which in some ways has set me back, but in many other ways has opened incredible new doors. I had no idea there were so many of us who felt the same way. We’re fed up with much of what’s going on in the world. The systems that don’t serve us but pretend to. The institutions that rob us and keep us dependent. This last year and a half has been quite a challenging and equally awesome time. I’ve faced a lot of backlash for what I sing about, which in some ways has set me back, but in many other ways has opened incredible new doors. I had no idea there were so many of us who felt the same way. We’re fed up with much of what’s going on in the world. The systems that don’t serve us but pretend to. The institutions that rob us and keep us dependent. But what has been so beautiful is discovering how many of us feel this together and genuinely want to create a future that uplifts and serves humanity, and each other. There are so many people working for good, working for the light. I hope the music and art I make can contribute to that in a great way. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
