Pi Network Prepares for its Most Important Upgrade Yet Pi Network (joe public) is rolling out Protocol v26 today. This protocol update from the Core Team is described as one of the last protocol upgrades before Protocol 27, which is anticipated to conclude the network's current development period. The new protocol will: - Provide enhanced protection against attacks on smart contracts - Improve the state management - Increase cross-chain functionality - Add some cryptographic updates as well Protocol 27 is officially considered "the final planned upgrade" of the network and is scheduled for the second half of 2026. This protocol update is important for the Pi community not only from the technical perspective but also because it shows that the network's core structure is almost complete.

We’ve added a protocol documentation feature to the contract agent of Wayfinder Foundation so people can build contracts that interact with protocols without needing to drop all the contracts into the chat. The agent has a knowledge base of contracts and protocol docs, so users can make cool, complicated things more easily. To start, it supports Chainlink price oracles, LayerZero OFTs, Moonwell for lending, and Aerodrome for swaps and liquidity on Base and more. You can also create multiple contracts in the same session, and the agent will help plan out what goes in each one. We can add support for other protocol documentation over time - $PROMPT holders will be able to vote on which ones to prioritize next. Right now this feature is still being tested, and the contract shown here is just an illustrative example. It’s an overcollateralized stablecoin: users deposit ETH, it gets wrapped and deposited into Moonwell as WETH to earn yield, and they can mint stablecoins up to a value threshold checked against the ETH/USD Chainlink oracle. If the value of their collateral drops too far below their borrowing power, they can be liquidated. There are some rough edges the deployer can work through using simulations to guide them.
