He highlighted a reality many Muslims recognize, in Nigeria and around the world: we are often pushed into a constant state of defense. Accusations come one after another: “Islam doesn’t give... women rights.” “Islam is extreme.” “Islam is harsh.” And so we respond. We explain. We clarify. We defend. But he warned that remaining perpetually on the defensive distracts us from a greater responsibility; to confidently and wisely invite others to Islam. Islam is not defined merely as “peace,” as it is often reduced to in modern discourse. The word Islam means total submission to the will of Allah ﷻ; a complete and conscious surrender of one’s desires, actions, and life to the Creator. To say “I am Muslim” is to say: I submit fully to Allah. I do what He commands and refrain from what He forbids. Sheikh Jafar (رحمه الله) also challenged a common narrative: the portrayal of Islam as inherently aggressive. He pointed to history — particularly the battles of Badr and Uhud — emphasizing that the early Muslim community faced persecution, expulsion, and armed pursuit. The Prophet ﷺ & his companions were forced from Makkah, migrated seeking peace, and were pursued to the outskirts of Madinah. The Battle of Badr itself took place near Madinah after hostile forces advanced toward them. His broader point was about perspective: history is often told by those who control the narrative. Yet global history is filled with devastating wars, colonization, and mass civilian casualties carried out by powerful nations — from Hiroshima and Nagasaki to Algeria, Iraq, Gaza & beyond, the Christian West has killed tens of millions of innocent Muslims, either during colonization or modern day imperialism. Still, Islam is frequently singled out as uniquely violent. Whether one agrees with every framing or not, his message was clear: Muslims should not internalize narratives that constantly place them on trial. Instead, they should understand their faith deeply, represent it with integrity, and engage the world with confidence, knowledge, and wisdom. South West Muslim Ummah kindly watch this video. This is my message to Yoruba speaking Muslims in Nigeria. A few months ago, during the disagreement over the date for the beginning of Ramadan, many Muslims from the South West on social media criticized and disrespected the Sultan of Sokoto simply because they disagreed with his position and opinion. In the midst of that debate, some non-Muslims from South West also joined in criticizing and insulting the Sultan. Today, there are reports of controversy surrounding a Masquerade festival in Ibadan, with some people saying that women should not come to our during the event because see the Masquerade is a taboo for women . My point is not that Muslims should cut ties with their non-Muslim family members or neighbors. Islam encourages kindness, justice and good relations with everyone. Rather, my point is that when it comes to matters of religion, Muslims should avoid allowing disagreements to divide the Ummah and should respect one another even when they hold different opinions. 1. The Muslims of the past dedicated themselves to preaching Islam with wisdom, patience and good character. Through their efforts, many people accepted Islam and passed it down from one generation to another. 2. Many Muslims today have moved away from that legacy. Instead of strengthening unity, we often argue among ourselves, create divisions, disrespect one another and sometimes even speak against centers of Islamic learning and communities that played significant roles in spreading Islamic knowledge. 3. Muslims today should remember that continued division only weakens the Ummah. We should learn to accept legitimate differences, respect one another, and unite upon the core teachings of Islam. A united Muslim community is better able to preserve Islamic knowledge and pass it on to future generations. If you allow kuffar to cut relationship between Muslim of the North and the Muslim South, the grandchildren of those kuffār who were left yesterday will form alliance with other religious and ensure they destroy your born and unborn Muslim children and erase true Islam from Muslim them. May Allah unite the hearts of the Muslims, increase us in wisdom and guide us to what is best. Amin.

I've had a lot of DMs asking me to clarify some of the statements made about Andrew Tate and Islam. InshaAllah, I shall address these points from an Islamic standpoint to the best of my ability: Q- Is Andrew Tate "really" a Muslim? A- This is a very sensitive matter, and I advise myself and everyone not to take this question lightly. As Muslims, we are not allowed to question anyone's faith, we can only judge based on what the individual has identified himself as, so the answer is: It doesn't matter what anyone thinks of Andrew Tate, HE IS A MUSLIM BROTHER!!! Q- Did Andrew Tate make Islam cool and famous? A- No, and I don't mean that disrespectfully. However, even before Andrew Tate converted to Islam, Islam was the fastest-growing religion on the planet and still is. Islam is a faith that is bigger than all of us and cannot be made cool by anyone. That being said, we should NEVER forget that Andrew Tate's huge influence piqued the interest of many people over the world to look into Islam, and he helped many individuals find Islam, resulting in thousands of people embracing it. May Allah reward him for it🤲🏻💚 Q- Is Andrew Tate the Mahdi? A- No, Andrew Tate is not the Mahdi. As Muslims, we have hadiths from our beloved prophet (PBUH) that provide us with clear knowledge regarding this topic, and Andrew Tate does not fall into these categories. However, we must be cautious because making such claims is a serious matter that should not be taken lightly. Q- Is Andrew Tate divine? A- No, we cannot make such a claim as Muslims since it is Haram and disrespectful to the entire religion. I hope that this clarifies the issues raised for all of my Muslim and non-Muslim brothers and sisters. Imam Tawhidi is a clear disbeliever. He insults and belittles the Prophet ﷺ, his wives, and his friends. He doesn’t even believe in the Afterlife, as evidenced in his debate with Daniel Haqiqatjou Why is he the head of the “Global Imams Council”? Why is this apostate allowed to speak on behalf of Islam, when it’s clear that he’s a disbeliever? It’s extremely important that Muslims watch out for the secret apostates among us. They will pretend to be Muslim, while seeking to undermine Islam from within. Tawhidi is one of the clearest examples of a disbeliever pretending to be a Muslim.

It's Good To Be Anti-Islam... but not anti-Muslim. 'Islam is an ideology—a set of ideas. It is not defined by what any individual Muslim wants it to be, but by what it inherently is. No ideology is above critique—particularly one that explicitly seeks political and social dominance over every person on the planet. Additionally, ideologies are not entitled to human rights; these rights apply to individuals. As an ideology, Islam is not necessarily entitled to equal respect and acceptance. Ideas do not carry equal moral weight. The feelings or the number of those who believe do not make an idea true or good. Bad ideas should be challenged before they lead to bad consequences. Islam is not simply a belief about God. The word 'Islam' means submission. It is a set of rules that define a social hierarchy where Muslims submit to Allah, women submit to men, and all non-Muslims submit to Islamic rule. Since we do not live in a Muslim country—where censorship, intimidation, and brute force are used to protect Islam from intellectual analysis—we are still somewhat free to openly exercise our right to debate the merits of the Islamic value system against Western Liberalism. Consider the following questions: Are men really superior to women as the Quran says? Are women intellectually inferior as Muhammad taught? Does propagating material that curses people of other religions amidst random calls to violence create a better social environment? Is it right to keep women as sex slaves merely because the Quran permits this practice in numerous places? Should atheists and homosexuals have to choose between the noose or an outward profession of faith in Allah? Is conformity superior to freedom? Yes, there are Muslims who take issue with these aspects of Islamic theology, but that doesn't change what Islam is. Do not confuse the ideology with the individual. Do not draw conclusions about Islam based on the Muslims that you know, whether they are terrorists or humanitarians. Islam must be understood based on what it is, as presented objectively in the Quran, Hadith, and Sira (biography of Muhammad)." Islam is waging an ongoing war of about 1,350 years to conquer Europe. The spiritual leader of tens, if not hundreds of millions of Sunnis Muslims, openly, above all platform, wrote it and spoke about it and Europe does not understand. "The Return of Islam to Europe and the Conquest of Rome" Source: "Auspices Of The Ultimate Victory Of Islam" (page21-22) Doha, Shawwal 1416 A.H. March 1996 A.D. By: Yusuf al-Qardawi; (1926 – 2022) From amongst these auspices is the hadith that Imam Ahmad reported in his Musnad on the authority of Abu Qabîl, who said, “We were with ‘Abdullâh bin ‘Amr bin Al-‘Âs (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was asked, ‘Which of the two cities is to conquered first, Constantinople or Rome?’ Upon which ‘Abdullâh called for a sealed trunk, and he got a book out of it, and then he said: Whilst we were around the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) writing down, The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was asked, ‘Which of the two cities is to be conquered first, Constantinople or Rome? And he (the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace) answered, ‘The city of Heraclius will be conquered first!’” Rome is the metropolis of Italy today, and Constantinople is now Istanbul. What can be grasped from the posed question is that the companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) knew beforehand that Islam would conquer the two cities, and their people would embrace Islam, but they just wanted to know which of the two cities would precede the other, thus he (the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace) answered them by saying that the city of Heraclius – that is Constantinople – would be conquered first. That prophecy was fulfilled at the hands of the ambitious Ottoman youth, Muhammad bin Murâd, aged twenty-three, who was known through history by Muhammad the Conqueror. Thus, Constantinople was conquered in the ninth century A.H. [fifteenth century A.D.], precisely on Tuesday 20th of Jumada I 857 A.H. (29 May –1453 A.D.). Thus, remains the second part of the glad tidings to be fulfilled: the conquest of Rome, through which Islam will enter Europe once again after it was forced out of it twice: once from Andalusia and the other from the Balkan states. Most probably this conquest will be through the power of word and pen, not through swords and spears, for the world will open its arms and heart to Islam, after being overburdened by the philosophies (ideologies) of materialism and positivism, and will appeal for assistance from heavens, and guidance from Allah, thus it will find none but Islam a rescuer. The peaceful conquest (victory) has its origins in Islam, for Allah, The Most Exalted, has called the Hudaibiyah Peace Treaty a conquest, even a ‘manifest victory’, and on that occasion Surat Al-Fath was revealed in which Allah, all praise be to Him, says: The noble Qur’anic verse says what means: “Verily, We have given you (O Muhammad) a manifest victory.” (Al-Fath, 48: 1) Thereupon, the Companions asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) saying, ‘Is it a conquest (victory), O Messenger of Allah?’ And he (the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace) answered, ‘Yes, it is a conquest (victory).’

Is this Islam? .. People are telling me that this has nothing to do with Islam .. They say that this is an innovation made up by The Shia Muslims MY REPLY .. (1) In Sunni hadith books and traditions, it is clearly mentioned that the Prophet Mohammad (as) cried and mourned for his grandson Imam Hussain (as) .. So, therefore, it is the sunnah of the Prophet (as) to cry and mourn for Imam Hussain (as) .. There is no set way of mourning .. People mourn in different ways according to their customs and culture .. And it is all okay, unless it turns into something haram and forbidden (a sin) (2) .. In The Quran (42:23) Allah (swt) orders us to love the Prophet’s family .. When someone you love gets murdered in such a way, you will not mourn and cry for them? (3) .. In The Quran (51:29) Sarah smacked herself and Allah (swt) did not say that she did something wrong or forbidden .. Allah (swt) did not say that she did an evil thing .. If there was any issues whatsoever, Allah (swt) in His infinite wisdom and knowledge would have said something right there and then Side note - When i converted to Islam, i had a look at both Sunni and Shia .. It was very clear to me that Shia Islam is the True Islam .. I consider sunni’s as Muslims .. but I encourage them not to follow blindly and to do more research with an open heart

Why didn’t Islam end slavery? Because slavery is meant to be used as a method to humiliate the Kuffar—those who are captured in war against the Muslims. Enslaving a free Muslim is prohibited, but slavery (like the Jizya system) is meant as a means to weaken the Kuffar and funnel them into Islam gradually. In Islam, beating or abusing your slave is strictly forbidden, and beating them mandates you to free them. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever slaps his slave or beats him, then the expiation for that is to set him free.” (Sahih Muslim 1657) The Prophet ﷺ also said, “Your slaves are your brothers whom Allah has placed under your authority. So whoever has a brother under his authority should feed him from what he eats and clothe him from what he wears. Do not burden them with what they cannot bear. And if you do burden them, then help them.” (Sahih Bukhari 2545) Our purpose in life is to worship Allah alone, and sometimes people need the carrot/stick approach when it comes to embracing Islam. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Allah marvels at people who enter Paradise in chains.” (Sahih Bukhari 3010) What this Hadith refers to, is the Non-Muslims who are captured as captives, are enslaved, and then they’re exposed to Islam which leads to them converting to Islam, and thus they enter Paradise “in chains.” Them being enslaved was the best thing that ever happened to them, because it served as a means for them to convert to Islam and thus enter Paradise. This is not a matter of a difference of opinion. This is the difference between Paradise and Hell. It’s important that Muslims take this matter seriously. When an enemy nation is approached by the Muslim armies, first they’re called upon to embrace Islam. If they refuse, then they’re obligated to come under Islamic Rule and pay the Jizya tax. If they refuse, they’re fought militarily. Those who die in battle will enter Hell, while those who survive are enslaved and thus (hopefully) they embrace Islam—which will serve as a means for them to gain their freedom in this worldly life and enter Paradise in the Afterlife. Almost all Muslims today are descended from people who converted to Islam under these conditions. Your ancestors became Muslim because of these large Islamic armies. The best form of Dawah is the Guiding Book and the aiding sword. Persuasion alone isn’t enough, as people are stubborn and they prefer to stick with their old ways. Anyone who’s spent any time arguing with people online will quickly realize that most people don’t respond to rational arguments. Most people are unreasonable and stubborn. What actually changes people’s minds are social pressures via political outcomes, and this can only happen top-down through politics or war. The Prophet ﷺ preached for 13 years in Mecca, full time, and he was a man who was well-known and respected in Mecca, yet he only garnered 200 followers. But when he conquered Mecca with a large army through sheer force of arms, 2000 Meccans converted to Islam in 1 hour. This is enough evidence of what I’m talking about. Yaqeen Institute isn’t really telling the whole story, and it’s important Muslims understand these concepts so we don’t start embracing deviant ideas which are contrary to Islam. P.S. The Quran has mandated the freeing of slaves as a means of forgiveness, and Surah 24:33 states that Muslims should free those slaves who request freedom. ”…And those who seek a contract [for eventual emancipation] from among whom your right hands possess—then make a contract with them if you know there is good in them, and give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you…” (Quran 24:33)
