#Dhurandhar ; The title given to Ranveer Singh’s character in Dhurandhar is Operation Wrath of God. Film Director Aditya Dhar has a habit of planting clues in plain sight and this feels like one of those details that deserves a much deeper discussion. In Dhurandhar Part I, it is shown that after the 2001 Parliament attack, India began rethinking its entire approach to counter terrorism. NSA Ajit Doval proposes a new model to Jaswant Singh, something long term and patient and unlike anything India had attempted before in the realm of countering terrorism. There is visible hesitation within the system because Project Dhurandhar is not an instant result plan. It is a prolonged operation that relies on deep planting and waiting. Now look at the arc of Jaskirat Singh Rangi. He is recruited in 2002 and deployed into Pakistan in 2004. That leaves a two year window where he was most likely being conditioned, trained and rebuilt. What’s interesting is that this exact period coincides with India deepening its counter terrorism cooperation with Israel. This was the phase when India was actively studying Israeli counter terrorism methods, plausible deniability operations, long term infiltration and how sustained counter terror missions are actually built. The IDF and Mossad had more experience than almost anyone when it came to counter terrorism, especially in planting assets early and letting them run for years before results showed. Between 2002 and 2004, India and Israel held multiple high level engagements and discussions around counter terrorism and special forces cooperation with joint sessions of special forces reportedly taking place in both countries. In the world of Dhurandhar, this is precisely the period when Jaskirat Singh Rangi is being prepared and most likely trained alongside Israeli defence forces during these joint engagements, for something far bigger and far longer than a conventional operation. Parade of 57,000 German prisoners of war in the streets of Moscow under escort 1944... In summer of 1944 Soviet Union launched Operation Bagration, a large-scale, complex offensive against the Nazi invaders in Belarus, Poland and the Baltic republics. This vital Soviet offensive was launched just after Allied troops had landed in Normandy, and it is symptomatic of the lack of public knowledge about the war in the East that whilst almost everyone has heard of D-Day, few people other than specialist historians know much about Operation Bagration. Operation Bagration (named after a Georgian prince in war against Napoleon 130 years earlier) was not just one of largest military offensives of the war, it was one of most sophisticated. On 19 June 1944, Red Army partisan units, operating behind German lines, attacked transport and other Wehrmacht supply lines; two days later Soviets launched massive air attacks; and then on the 23rd (one day after the third anniversary of German invasion) Red Army moved forward under cover of darkness. Soviet advance caught the Germans by surprise. Once again, Soviet technique of ‘maskirovka’ (deception) had worked. Soviets pushed forward in powerful spearheads leaving enemy units isolated behind them – a tactic that was made all the more effective because of a tactically disastrous decision Hitler had made. The German leader had ordered the soldiers of Army Group Center to stand firm and inflexible in the face of any Soviet advance. Hitler’s directive of 8 March 1944 had announced that ‘feste Plaetze’ (fortified places) should be the core of the German defense. The idea was that the Soviets would advance past these fortifications, which would, Hitler said, “fulfill the function of fortresses in former historical times”. The commander of the German Ninth Army, General Jordan could scarcely believe the nature of the order he had been given. “Ninth Army stands on the eve of another great battle”, he wrote, “unpredictable in extent and duration… the Army believes that, even under the present conditions, it would be possible to stop the enemy offensive, but not under the present directives which require an absolutely rigid defense”. “Hitler’s orders to hold firm were totally disastrous”, confirms military historian Antony Beevor. “He refused to allow his generals any flexibility or leeway which was totally contrary to all the precepts and the teaching of the German general staff… But because Hitler so distrusted his generals he wanted to control everything and that was basically the undoing of the German army”. The operation resulted in the almost complete destruction of Army Group Centre, which lost all of the Fourth Army and most of the Third Panzer and Ninth Armies. TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI RESCUE ABDUCTED NECO CANDIDATES IN LASSA, INTENSIFY SEARCH FOR REMAINING VICTIM Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have successfully rescued ten National Examinations Council (NECO) candidates and teachers abducted during an ISWAP attack on Lassa Community in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State. The attack, which occured at about 0900 hours (9:00 a.m.) on Monday, 29 June 2026, targeted the Technical Secondary School while the students were writing exams. Immediately upon reciept of the incident, Theatre Command scrambled both strike and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircrafts from the Air Component of OPHK to support troops mobilised to the area for a coordinated search and rescue operation. The troops, with support from the air platforms overhead providing guidance, made contact around DAGGU and after the firefight, the operation has so far resulted in the successful rescue of ten victims, who were unhurt and are currently receiving the necessary care and support, while efforts remain ongoing to rescue the remaining victim and bring the perpetrators to justice. During the contact, troops out maneuvered the fleeing terrorists inflicting casualties on them and capturing seven of their motorcycles, significantly disrupting their escape. Regrettably, during the intense firefight, one gallant soldier of OPHK and a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force made the supreme sacrifice during the intense exchange of fire with the terrorists. Their courage, selflessness and unwavering commitment exemplify the collective resolve of security forces and local volunteers who continue to risk their lives daily to protect innocent citizens and restore peace across the North East.
