Imagine being dark-skinned in Egypt, standing in the land of your ancestors, only to have some Arabs tell you that you are not native and must be from Sudan. That kind of identity policing is wild, especially when Arabs themselves are not indigenous to Egypt or the rest of Africa. What makes it worse is that these same racist lighter-skinned Arab Egyptians will question the origins of dark-skinned Egyptians, then turn around and claim direct descent from the ancient Egyptians. If people want to say “modern Egyptians descend from ancient Egyptians,” they need to be more specific and honest about the ethnic lineages. Egypt was not untouched by foreign settlement or conquest. Persians, Greeks/Macedonians under the Ptolemies, Romans/Byzantines, Arabs, Kurds under the Ayyubids, Mamluk military slaves, and Ottoman Turks all ruled, settled, or left their population in Egypt at different points. So dark-skinned Egyptians alone should never be treated as foreigners in a land that has always been deeply connected to Africa and the Nile Valley. The hypocrisy is the problem: some Arabs want to claim ancient Egypt when it gives them prestige, but reject dark-skinned Egyptians when their appearance does not fit the image they prefer to be advertised for their country.

Our, Shaikh, the ʿAllāmah, Rabeeʿ Ibn Hādī Al-Madkhalī (may Allāh preserve him) said in some powerful words: "The Salafis in the east of the world and its west, the Arabs and non-Arabs—all of them are as if they are one family. The Indian [Salafi] is united with the Saudi, with the Yemeni, and so on, with all races and all nations. They are as brothers as if nurtured at the hands of one scholar—upon one manhaj, one ʿaqeedah—and the way they deal with events and tribulations, subhānallāh, [even though] one is in the east, one in the west, and the other in the Hijāz, [regardless] their view is the same. Why? Because their manhaj is precise and proper—all of them—and they take from the same fountain. May Allah bless you. I have seen that the Salafis: those in the north, the south, the east and the west—all of them are brothers, may Allah bless you. The Shaikhs of the north are the Shaikhs of the south, and the Shaikhs of the south are the Shaikhs of the north—they are all united. No one says [only] Shaikh so-and-so or [only] so-and-so. You will not find this [among them] — rather, all of them are his shaikhs, and students of knowledge—and all of them are his brothers, may Allah bless you. Now, I advise the youth with this brotherhood—and not to separate between the Saudi, or the Yemeni, or the Hindi, or the Pakistani, or the Sindhi, or the American—all of them are brothers for the sake of Allah, joined together with the bond of Islam, and the bond of this methodology (manhaj)."

The British Mandate of Palestine was a British regime that gained control of the land of Israel due to the fall of the Ottoman Empire after 1917. Jews lived in the Holy Land (ie, the Old Yishuv) for centuries. Including under the control of the Ottoman Empire, when Jews were the majority of residents in Jerusalem. Before 1909, Tel Aviv was a desert land. The empty land was bought legally by the Jews who turned it over the years into a prosperous city. Not a single Arab was thrown out of his home or cave by the Jews, who again, bought desert lands in the Land of Israel legally and built the kibbutzim (agricultural towns). After the British government turned the mandate back to the U.N., the Arab-Muslim world rejected the UN partition plan and declared war not only against Israel, but also against their own Jewish population. The Arab states ethnically cleansed most of their Jewish population. Most of the Jewish refugees moved to Israel where the armies of Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Egypt joined forces and declared war along with the local Arab population with the public goal of "pushing all the Jews into the sea". During the war of independence the Arab armies who started this war, ordered the local Arabs to leave the combat zones and allow them to annihilate the Jews living there. Some Arabs were also forcibly evacuated during the fighting and moved to nearby territories under the control of Egypt and Jordan (Gaza and the West Bank). Israel has never committed and never will commit genocide. In fact by defending itself Israel is preventing another genocide of Jews.
