Yes, for example, the main reason Egypt doesn't open the border completely is that Hamas is a spinoff of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood is seen as a Terrorist organisation in Egypt As Hamas seems to have "backup" from Iran, neither Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, .... wants extra influence of Iran inside their country

They know how they were treated on both sides of the border. If in doubt, visit Israel. Or at least believe those who have been there, not those who never spoke to an Israeli or a Jew.
