Hagen Smith said today that last night’s impressive results were the result of raising his arm slot back to where it had been previously. The change in his arm slot was the result of work he did this week with White Sox Director of Pitching Brian Bannister, who has been in Charlotte for the past few days, and Knights’ Pitching Coach Scott Aldred. The changes were dramatic. Smith has struggled with his control this season, until last night, when he walked just 1 hitter, had fewer deep counts and, as a result, had his longest outing of the season, at 5 innings. 🚨This absolutely disgusts me! An NYPD sergeant who threw a cooler to stop a fleeing drug dealer from plowing into two fellow officers has been sentenced to 3–9 years in prison. The judge ruled he should’ve just let the suspect speed away — saying “he could’ve been captured another day.” Hero cop punished. Criminal protected. This is what soft-on-crime justice looks like in New York. Then of course you have the Dindu Nuttin’ worshippers who celebrate a good cop being imprisoned for doing his job and taking out a thug.

Potentially a final goodbye from Luke Ayling following Leeds’ 3-0 win over Peterborough this afternoon. The seemingly emotional 32 year old, who has played 268 games for Leeds in all competitions, was comforted by club captain Liam Cooper as he took the time to thank the travelling Leeds supporters after the game. If it is a final farewell, Luke has been a fantastic servant for the club and deserves nothing but praise for his 8 years at the club. That's why I'm keeping an open mind. But if I'm being honest, I'm still not convinced Diogo Costa is the massive upgrade some fans think he is. We all know Robert Sánchez isn't elite with the ball at his feet. His distribution has always been his biggest weakness. But one thing we can't take away from him is his shot-stopping. Put a solid defence in front of him, and we've seen how many points he can save. Chelsea have been here before. We made Kepa the world's most expensive goalkeeper and it didn't work. Then Mendy came in, wasn't the best distributor either, but behind a strong defence he became a Champions League winner. Maybe Xabi sees something bigger with Costa and I genuinely hope he's right... because if Chelsea spend big again on a goalkeeper, this one has to work. I am usually busy reporting on all the teams I have the joy and honor of covering. However, this post is going to be a little different. My oldest brother Kysen Howard, a senior CSU Pueblo Baseball, broke his hand over the weekend. This injury ends his collegiate career. He has aspirations and the capability to play at the next level but as you can imagine my family is crossing our fingers and saying our prayers that my brother gets another year of eligibility due to this season ending injury. One of those reasons is also because he got to share the field, the dugout and wear the same uniform as our little brother for the first time ever. We had two Howards on the same field this season and it’s been an absolute joy as their older sister and for our family. Obviously, we are crushed that the season is ending this way for him but I know there is much more ahead for him and his career whatever that may look like. I’m sharing two videos bc in this moment I get to “report” and share the cool story of my brother(s). The first video is a brief highlight of my brother Kysen this season. If you take a few moments to watch, you’ll see why I’ve loved getting to watch him play this game for my entire life. His baseball journey hasn’t always been easy but he’s been persistent, dedicated beyond measure and above all else, he plays with such a passion that’s led him to have this kind of success at the collegiate level. The second video will be something my family enjoys for the rest of our life. Although this season is ending abruptly I am so glad we will have this memory forever. ♥️

I’m sharing two videos bc in this moment I get to “report” and share the cool story of my brother(s). The first video is a brief highlight of my brother Kysen this season. If you take a few moments to watch, you’ll see why I’ve loved getting to watch him play this game for my entire life. His baseball journey hasn’t always been easy but he’s been persistent, dedicated beyond measure and above all else, he plays with such a passion that’s led him to have this kind of success at the collegiate level. The second video will be something my family enjoys for the rest of our life. Although this season is ending abruptly I am so glad we will have this memory forever. ♥️

This coach crashes out at a 14U baseball game. The coach comes down from third base and screams at the home plate umpire. It’s quiet as can be so he has everyone’s attention. He tells the umpire that he has been great all tournament but this particular call was abysmal and he knows it. 🤯 The fans clap after he finishes. 😳 The man behind the fence behind home plate (tournament director?) yells at the coach that he just said it, he’s been great all tournament but you are going to lose it over one questionable call? What I don’t get is the fans clapping. They are just encouraging this horrible behavior. Sad that we have parents that support that. If you told me as a coach before the tournament that this umpire would be great the whole tournament but will miss one call, I’d say that’s my guy, that’s my umpire. But to just completely lose it in front of all those boys? Shameful. Another coach who thinks he coaching the the World Series in MLB. And we wonder why there is an umpire shortage? Do you prefer and approve of a coach like that? (Some people do) or do you prefer a quieter coach who keeps his emotions in check?

JJK Season-3 Director Shōta Goshozono (Gosso) long comment about his thoughts behind making of OP: When I thought about the Culling Game in preparation for creating this opening, I considered the following: When a variety of characters, both new and old, are gathered within the limited field prepared by Kenjaku, what kind of reaction will the friction born there produce? I believe this question is the essential axis that runs through the Culling Game. Based on this axis, I selected a "Collage" as the concept. When combining massive amounts of different materials holding specific meanings and intentions, sourced from the widest possible range of expressive domains and fragments of memory specific to this generation, certain nuances and textures emerge. I wanted to perceive these resulting textures as something positive and pleasant, and I have encapsulated that feeling within the realm of this opening sequence. There is another important characteristic to the Culling Game, or rather, to the world after the Shibuya Incident. In the Shibuya Incident, the "culture" known as Shibuya was crushed, exposing the bare, flat earth beneath. The schematic of this season is Yuji rising up again from that flattened ground. I cannot help but feel that this is a manifestation of the work’s unconscious desire to observe all expressions and cultures through a unified sense of value, and from there, discover new values. In fact, this leads into the Culling Game that follows, where sorcerers from the past appear and grope for new possibilities; Kenjaku reinforces this way of thinking. Furthermore, since this season is positioned as a "first half," I judged that a structure which ends abruptly, cutting off as if a bomb had been dropped right at the end, rather than converging the story. was the most appropriate choice, expanding the narrative further and further outward.
