We are Kaizer Chiefs!โค๏ธโœŒ๐Ÿพ In just 4 months, coach Nasreddine Nabi has changed the mentality of our players. There is still a long way to go but we have made positive progress towards our goals: โ–ช๏ธŽ They don't settle for anything less than total domination! โ–ช๏ธŽ They use unbearable speed in attack, a clear Nabi attacking blueprint๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ โ–ช๏ธŽ Once we find spaces to attack, our movement and passes are very quick. โ–ช๏ธŽ The decision-making on the ball is getting better, and our structure is getting better every game. โ–ช๏ธŽ They create a lot of chances every game! โ–ช๏ธŽ They fight as a team! We are very flexible tactically. There is positive energy around the team. The players are regaining their confidence! Kaizer Chiefs supporters, it's now on us to step up and support the team without forcing hate towards any player in the team. โ–ช๏ธŽ Look at how Nabi and his technical team show love, support, and patience with our players โ–ช๏ธŽ Look at how that is helping these guys never give up on us and our club. Everyone wants to do well here, and we have enough quality to do well this season. Quality is measured by performance, and that's what we are getting. It can only get better when upgrades are brought in. โ–ช๏ธŽ No player is guaranteed a place in the team, that on its own should tell us the coach knows what he's doing when he picks his 11. โ–ช๏ธŽ Let's keep rallying behind the team. Uzenenye!๐Ÿ“ Possession with purpose: You have a very competitive team here. You just have to fix the goalscoring problem. โ–  We haven't lost our ability to create chances, which is important. They just come from clear repeated attacking patterns and control than just kicking the ball forward. โ–  We are able to progress both wide and central. We still need to work on looking for that "better option" when we have the ball around the opposition box. โ–  We create chances through good movement and passing. โ–  There are moments of patience on the ball, and there are moments of continued direct attacks. We put pressure on the opposition defense persistently. The ideas are not dominant as yet, but they are clear. We are quick once we find those pockets to progress. We have those small triangles in wide areas. โ–  In Central midfield, they will improve with time and a few other clear factors we need to solve. โ–  We need to improve the balance in some key areas. Work on our rushed passes. Even in quick transitional moments, we sometimes rush a pass that kills the attacking momentum. You still need well-timed passes and a good selection of passes in key areas to create better scoring chances. So decision-making will forever be at the center of everything we want to achieve in the field of play. โ–  Sometimes, your teammate hasn't really completed a run for you to release a pass, but we make that pass anyway. Small details. โ–  Once our match sharpness and overall team chemistry improve, we will increase the quality of key actions across the field. If you don't abandon your principles to dominate and control games, you will create chances, and it won't be by luck, but it will be by design. โ–  The team will find rhythm, and when results come, they will be consistent. โ–  We have worked on the spaces between players to some degree, and you can see how quickly we win the ball back. There is little space for the opponent to breathe after winning the ball. Even in the Netherlands, we never sat deep, we always pressed every angle on the pitch. โ–  We are aggressive, and the close proximity relationships we are building are helping us in regaining possession quickly. โ–  They are not yet perfect, but we have made some progress from how tactically confused we often looked last season. We are patient this side. There is good progress in the team. I believe in teams that grow, and growth doesn't move from zero to ten. You need to be patient and build each step at a time. KNEECAP STATEMENT: Since our statements at Coachella โ€” exposing the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people โ€” we have faced a coordinated smear campaign. For over a year, we have used our shows to call out the British and Irish governments' complicity in war crimes. The recent attacks against us, largely emanating from the US, are based on deliberate distortions and falsehoods. We are taking action against several of these malicious efforts. Let us be absolutely clear. The reason Kneecap is being targeted is simple โ€” we are telling the truth, and our audience is growing. Those attacking us want to silence criticism of a mass slaughter. They weaponize false accusations of antisemitism to distract, confuse, and provide cover for genocide. We do not give a f*ck what religion anyone practices. We know there are massive numbers of Jewish people outraged by this genocide just as we are. What we care about is that governments of the countries we perform in are enabling some of the most horrific crimes of our lifetimes โ€” and we will not stay silent. No media spin will change this. Our only concern is the Palestinian people โ€” the 20,000 murdered children and counting. The young people at our gigs see through the lies. They stand on the side of humanity and justice. And that gives us great hope. Kneecap โค๏ธ

Arteta on Gyokeres: โ€œWell, I think the level of attention on him hasn't changed since he signed to today. It's normal. Everybody was so excited to bring a nine into the club. We did it, we brought a player with an incredible goalscoring record that had to adapt to the league. โ€œHe had no preseason, the first few weeks were difficult because physically he wasn't in his best state and he's a player that needs that, like any other player in this league, almost to perform at that level. โ€œThen he kicked on, I think he had a really good period and got injured. And now it's better. I saw a lot of positive things in the last two games that he's done, we need to continue to tweak and understand him a little bit better in certain situations and he needs to do the same, but that's about time. We have full support for him. โ€œAt the end, you have to experience it (scrutiny). You can imagine the global impact that you're going to have to deal with when you come to a big club and the expectations are as it is, but after you have to live it and living it is always slightly different to your imagination. โ€œHowever, he's doing it with a With a lot of desire. I think his energy level, his commitment, it's absolutely top. We are here to help him because we've all been here, we all need time, there is always moments, and the strikers have moments. โ€œThey score more goals, less goals, and we need to be there for him. โ€œI think so, yes (weโ€™re going to see another level from Gyokeres in the second half of the season.โ€

Today I took the floor at the United Nations: โ€œHigh Commissioner, everything we just heard from the worldโ€™s worst dictatorships, from state sponsors of terrorism, is absolutely false. The truth, as documented on page 3 of your report, is that Hamas is the one that attacked and invaded Israel on October 7th, violating a two-year ceasefire, and committing mass murder, mutilation, rape, and torture, killing and injuring thousands, and abducting more than 200 people, from babies to grandmothers, into the terror tunnels in Gaza. Today, we ask: What is the UN doing about it? Its primary agency in Gaza is UNRWA. We are told they do โ€œlifesaving,โ€ humanitarian work. Is this true? Let us consider. I come here today to present to the UN our new petition, signed within 24 hours by more than 100,000 people. Therein, we recall the latest revelations. At least 12 UNRWA staff took part in the October 7th massacre. Are these just โ€œa few bad apples?โ€ No: โ€ข At least 1,200 UNRWA staff in Gaza are members of terrorist groups; โ€ข 3,000 UNRWA teachers were in a Telegram group that celebrated the massacre; โ€ข Hamas built a terror tunnel directly below UNRWA Headquarters in Gaza, hiding a computer intelligence center that was powered by the agencyโ€™s electrical grid. UNRWA's chief said they didn't know. Is this โ€œlifesavingโ€ work? The UN cannot say it didnโ€™t know. Because we warned you repeatedly, in official documents, about UNRWA's ties to terrorism: โ€ข in Feb. 2018: โ€ข in March 2020: โ€ข in March 2021: โ€ข and in June 2021: America is now trying to help Gazans by giving funds to other agencies not infested with terrorism, but as reported by Devex, secretary-general Antonio Guterres told the agencies not to accept. Why does the UN care more about its failed agency, UNRWA, than about actually helping needy Gazans? Is this humanitarianism?โ€ ___________ For more on UNRWA:

Nkanyiso Shinga[LB]โœ๏ธ๐Ÿพ A fullback that is very strong in duelsโœ…๏ธ โ–  He is a strong boy physically, very aggressive, and times his tackles well. He is effective in winning possession back, both in 1v1 situations and by making well-timed tackles. He looks heavy, but he has some good acceleration and stamina down the left. He has a high work rate. Something our current technical team will appreciate with his game. โ–  He overlaps frequently. He is comfortable in combination plays or providing more width with overlapping runs. It's his crossing I think can get better, but he is still decent. There are some good curlers from that left foot. โ–  He can anticipate passing well. He is efficient in closing channels or interceptions to break up opposition attacks. He is a good reader of the game and plays with so much commitment. He creates a lot of attacking opportunities on the left. He is able to get past defenders with some speed and dribbling. Data on his crossing frequency and accuracy is not showing a lot to take home, but it's still within the range of some of our best fullbacks in the league. Also, watching his application gives some confidence that he can consistently deliver quality into the box. He is a technically decent player. His good passing abilities will be valuable in the team, both short passes to maintain possession and longer passes to switch play or find teammates in attacking positions. He gives the team multiple options defensively and offensively. โ–  He likes making attacking runs on the left, but he can also invert his runs to allow the winger space to attack wide or have those 1v1 situations with opposition fullbacks. โ–  The team can easily use overloads on the left, something we didn't do much last season because we often lacked attacking quality from our LBs. Recorded on my laptop 50 mins ago, some footage of #Earth2's #WIP 510,000,000km2 geologically accurate #Metaverse, #E2V1, to be widely powered by $ESS ๐ŸŒŽโœŒ๏ธ This footage shows seamless navigation in a 1:1 scale virtual #Earth from space down to detailed biomes, geological accuracy, satellite image overlay, #Player owned properties, interactable / playable environments and so forth. Development on this scale takes time, but we have set a good foundation and continue to make progress plus we have a few new exciting updates to share over the next couple of months. The early stage #prealpha testing is running behind schedule, but will be going ahead in #Q3. We do have a shortlist for that test but emails have not yet been sent out just yet. I know a lot of people are watching the $ESS token closely, but as I mentioned a few times before it launched, we expected a number of #Players to sell, especially those who acquired their $ESS in the early days when it was easier to mine & then from the high #staking rewards that I said would never been seen again. But at the end of the day people sell for different reasons. The #Web3 market is also taking a hit right now with $ETH and $BTC dropping over the past week, further dropping 5-6% over the past 24 hours. As you know, we are not in control of the pairing or pools, if the pool is linked to $ETH as opposed to a stable coin like $USDC, the movement of $ETH will also have an affect on $ESS, whether up or down. There are many well established coins with years of trading that are down 10-20% over the past week. It is important to remember these are still very early days, we still have a lot of steps ahead of us and we are still actively building our flagship product, something I believe is going to develop into a very robust product built with the future in mind. #Earth2 #Metaverse #E2V1 #Earth #Earth2Version1 $ESS

Pressing, transitions and goals in Canada! After the hiring of Jesse Marsch this week by Canada Soccer , there has been lots of talk about pressing and transitions in the football community. This is THE style of play that we have used for the last 5 years with Alliance United FC in @L1OMens and will give you some insight in how this can look. We went away from the 'possession' based 1-4-3-3 that everyone has been using as the 'best way' to develop players and win games. Many say this is the 'right way' of playing. However, we use the players' abilities and inabilities as the starting point and based on players produced in Canada, within our youth system, this is the way we think will get us the best results and help our players get to the next level. You need to understand youth development in our country to understand what is and what is not being taught to young players. This is not a negative outlook, it is just looking at the reality. Many mistake this style of play as just non-stop pressing and chaos. Yes, these two aspects are important but it is a much more deliberate and planned way of playing that is used to predict where the opposition will play the ball, where the ball can be dictated and what areas the opposition leave open for transitions when they attack. In 2019, I was introduced to Ernst Tanner former Academy Director of Red Bull Salzburg and current Philadelphia Union Sporting Director that has led the club to being one of the top clubs in MLS and arguably the best academies in North America the last few years. Both organisations are known for their pressing and fast transitions in addition to producing top players. He became a mentor to me and gave me insights and education on this style of play. He has changed the way I look at football. Every season we try to recruit players that can play this style that I will describe below and we do not waiver in the way we played. Every game since 2019 Alliance United FC have played either in a 1-4-2-2-2 or a 1-4-4-2 midfield diamond....every game. We have no secrets in how we play. We focus on defending, pressing, forcing teams into mistakes and transition football. It is important to understand that we do not care how much possession we have and we actually want the opposition to have the ball most of the time. Stats in football show that only when a team has the ball 70% or more in a match their is a correlation to winning. Anything less is not correlated to winning in a certain match. In addition, 80% of goals are scored under 5 passes or less and under 10 seconds when regaining possession. We follow the trend! So, here are some important points based on the video: a) Pressing higher up the pitch when possible. All 11 players are committed to the team intention (principles) and if anybody is not committed and does not contribute to this style of play, they do not play. There is no leeway on this. Either you are in 100% in or you are not. All it takes is one player to not commit and the plan will not work. If we do not win the ball on the high press, everyone is to drop behind the ball as fast as possible to restart the press closer to our goal. b) Based on the opponent's scouting we press certain players and decide if will press closer to the sideline and 'pin' the player to the sideline or we dictate the passes and dribbles centrally and 'surround' the player to win the ball in central positions. We also decide if we will sometimes drop lower for the opposition to advance so we can play behind them when winning the ball. This is done if we scout that the opposition centre-backs are slower than our two strikers. This means we will 'outrun' them in the space they leave behind. c) When winning the ball we want to exploit space behind their backline as the priority which means that a player(s) need to be passing options behind the backline and preferably centrally which is closer to the goal, players winning the ball has to look to play the ball to the player furthest up the pitch. Possession is not a priority but scoring goals as fast as possible is. d) When winning the ball we stay as central as possible with passes and dribbling. We use the width of the penalty area (44 yards) as the preferable dimension when transitioning. We want to stay within this width. The wider the team plays the ball, the more time the opposition has to block the middle. PLAY AS VERTICALLY AS POSSIBLE! The emphasis is to get the ball to the two strikers and play 1v1 against the CBs. e) We know that most youth players grow up playing against a 1-4-3-3 which means there is one central striker meaning the centre-backs one back press and one can cover. Against 2 strikers this is not possible and many centre-backs do not have the ability to play 1v1 with space behind them. They are not taught the cues to step and press or drop to protect space behind them. They are never taught at youth level. We exploit this deficiency. e) All 11 players must get up the pitch to close the spaces if we lose the ball from our attacking transition so the opposition cannot transition against us and we can counter-press. f) A goal is the best outcome based on the objective of attacking but at the minimum we want to get a shot on goal from a transition. This is a quick overview of a different way of playing football that Canada will see with the Men's National Team.

It's officially that time of year again! Presenting the second annual "DreamDisc" indie gamejam for the Sega Dreamcast! If you weren't around for last year, check out the video! We had 24 incredibly polished, epic submissions including a wide-range of genres, such as 3D space shooters and resource managers, 2D platformers and racing games, VMU minigames, custom hardware, and even a custom implementation of the Java VM for SH4! Just like last year, the top 10 submissions, as voted by a panel of judges, will be pressed to a commercially released, actual physical Sega Dreamcast disc, which will be available for purchase from Orc Face Games - Chew Chew Mimic out on Dreamcast!! Oh, and there are cash prizes for the top 3, of course! This year we have an even wider range of engines, frameworks, and prebuilt library solutions for developers are all experience levels, including: 1) Antiruins - Lua-based, very newbie friendly game engine for the Sega Dreamcast. 2) raylib - famous cross-platform C-based games framework which needs no introduction 3) SDL2/3 - our very own ports of the famous cross-platform SDL libraries, which target the Dreamcast. 4) Simulant - the same engine that powered Driving Strikers--the very first online homebrew commercial DC game--as well as last year's wining submission, written in C++. 5) KallistiOS - you can raw-dog the indie SDK and pseudo OS that started it all and powers everything in the community, rolling your own tech stack. 6) SH4ZAM - my collection of SH4 assembly optimized math and matrix routines, which originally powered our Grand Theft Auto ports. Contestants are encouraged to join the OrcFace and Simulant Discord servers where they can interact with other DC developers, share their progress, and ask for help with anything they may need. He is 8 years old, turning 9 soon. Unschooling (homeschooling) is a very very wide subject for me to talk about. For me- itโ€™s NOT about โ€˜educationโ€™, itโ€™s a way of life. But we have evolved in this journey as a family. Lot of our fears come up and we keep working with it. What is his schedule? Well, he designs his schedule. We, as a family, discuss and try to build something that works for all of us. What is his curriculum? Everything that interests him is his curriculum. Who teaches him? To be honest till last year we didnโ€™t need anyone. Basic stuff in life, every real life experience was teaching him. But now as he has grown, he has specific and detailed interests- so if any one of us knows, then we otherwise we find someone who is passionate about his interest areas. If no one is teaching him, there is no curriculum and he doesnโ€™t have a โ€˜fixedโ€™ schedule - then how does he learn? What is the role of a parent in his life? Well, thatโ€™s a valid question. Our role is to facilitate his journey. Bring reflection to him so that he thinks for himself. Bring exposure so that he chooses. Have conflict with him as we canโ€™t be aligned with him in every way and still keep loving himโ€ฆ โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š Yes, for me- this path is not easy at all as it brings lot of my fears on the surface and I constantly have to work harder on myself. But believe me, this is the best decision we could have taken as a family. Believe me, every discomfort is worth it !!!!! The joy and fulfilment I experience in his life, I sometimes envy him ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ™ˆ and my constant guiding light ๐Ÿ’ก is @aarohi_life_education If you have more questions, do write it in the comment below P.s. we are not at all against schooling, we are also not against any systemโ€ฆwe are only choosing to be WITH the child. Thatโ€™s all ๐Ÿ˜Š if he doesnโ€™t want learning in conventional way, we are only exploring more โ€˜waysโ€™ of learning WITH him! โค๏ธ as I said, we are co-journeying and co-learning with him โœจ [homeschooling , unschooling, unschooling family, child doesnโ€™t go to school, learning from life, life learner ]

1. A lot of people have asked how we came to support the man who spent 7 years in prisonโ€”for nothing. No trial. No conviction. Just forgotten. Until now. 2. What many donโ€™t see is that this kind of intervention doesnโ€™t just happen. Itโ€™s not luck. Itโ€™s not coincidence. It is the result of years of intentional work, built on the faith and commitment of ordinary people who believed that justice must not only be promisedโ€”it must be delivered. 3. About a year ago, on a random Facebook post, I asked people to commit to donating whatever amount they could spareโ€”and to do so monthly for a year. Nothing fancy. No grand campaign. Just a quiet call to conscience. 4. From those simple pledges, we built the Pro Bono Legal Impact Initiative. Month after month, people gave. Some gave consistently. Some gave once. Some gave what little they had. But it all added up. 5. Because of that, weโ€™ve been able to help dozens of peopleโ€”real peopleโ€”facing impossible odds, with no one to turn to. People criminalized by poverty, forgotten by the system, or punished simply for existing. 6. The story of Kwabena Huletey, who can now take this step after 7 wasted years, is only a glimpse. There are many more. 7. As of today, the fund has GHS 82,660.08 in its account. Every single cedi came from individual donorsโ€”no grants, no big money. Just the quiet power of collective will. 8. This is what solidarity looks like. This is what intentionality can do. 9. And if youโ€™re wondering how to support, just ask.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says thereโ€™s no reason for Australia to have a Royal Commission into the Killing of Women and Girls because it is a waste of money. When two men massacred Jewish people at Bondi Beach last year, Albanese did not say โ€˜Thereโ€™s calls for a Royal Commission into everythingโ€™. He said quite the opposite, saying he listened to Jewish leaders and families and supported their calls. โ€œThereโ€™s calls for a Royal Commission into everything,โ€ he told @christiehayes_ this morning on Hit 1009 Hobart. โ€œWhat does a royal commission do besides fund lawyers? My petition for a Royal Commission into Femicide has more than 91,000 signatures. Many of those are from families who have lost a girl or woman to violence. Many are from frontline violence support workers. Many are from community members impacted by male violence. This is not about โ€˜wasting money on lawyersโ€™ as the PM claimed. Itโ€™s about having a national truth-telling into the one thing that impacts almost every woman and girl in Australia - MALE VIOLENCE. We make up 51% of the population. Weโ€™ve been murdered, raped, abused, stalked, harassed and demeaned for as long as we have existed. Women deserve to have a national light shone on the violence we endure. We deserve to examine the failures before and after the deaths of the 10s of thousands of women and girls killed in this country. Families deserve to tell their stories. Professionals deserve to explain how the safety nets are failing women. We just want the same care and compassion afforded us as other Australians have had afforded them. WOMEN MATTER! You can help me get a Royal Commission into the Killing of Women and Girls by signing the petition using the link in my bio or by visiting โค๏ธSUPPORT MY WORKโค๏ธ Please support The RED HEART Movement and Australian Femicide Watch by grabbing a RED HEART tee or providing a crowd-funded donation! 100% of money raised funds support for families of femicide, an apartment for domestic violence survivors and my work documenting the killing of Australian women and children.
