As a former NFL Scout— Arch Manning does not belong in the first round conversation at this point of his evaluation process. I know. I’ve evaluated every single snap Manning has taken in his college football career. Manning doesn’t belong in the first or second round conversation at this point in the evaluation process and I challenge anyone in America to be able to produce credible and sustained evidence to the contrary. I don’t care what his last name is. I scout the prospect, not the name. I’ve done the work on him and he’s not turning the corner from an NFL perspective. He’s actually regressing. He’s got fluctuating and mostly low level confidence, a lot of bad body language, too much low energy vibe, his pocket awareness is suspect, his throwing mechanics and ball placement are inconsistent, he’s too dependent on throwing check-downs and handing the ball off, he tends to lock in with his receivers, he’s holding the ball too long, he’s generally throwing with below-average-to average anticipation, he’s pretty uncomfortable beyond his first reads, he’s hot and cold, he seems to trust his legs more than his right arm, some of his passes have looked wobbly, he’s got ball security issues, and he’s being reckless at times when he’s running the football. I also think he’s having trouble reading pass coverage. Manning ranks among the FBS leaders with 30 passes behind the line of scrimmage this season (PFF). Yes— He made those two gutsy got-to-have-it 4th down throws against Ohio State. Nothing but respect from me on those two throws 🫡 Outside of that— He looks like an uncomfortable, conservative, and inconsistent college game manager this season. Could this change? Yes. There’s more football to be played. I put a first round grade on Manning after evaluating his spot reps on 2023 and 2024 game film and a second round grade on Manning after evaluating his 2025 game film. I was really optimistic after studying his 2023 game film. No coincidence, that was also when he recorded his fastest time to throw (PFF: 2.74 seconds). But he has not shown that level of confidence since (PFF time to throw in 2025: 2.88 seconds, PFF time to throw in 2026: 3.13 seconds). Manning has the No. 79 ranked completion percentage 63.5% (ESPN: All Conferences Player Passing Stats 2026). That’s where he’s at compared to his college quarterback peers. He “worked himself up” on camera before the first quarter against Tennessee and he produced his best quarter of football this season in the first quarter, but he couldn’t keep himself there. He deflated for the rest of the game like a birthday balloon. 🎈 The stuff that he’s putting on his tape this season so far isn’t good enough from an NFL perspective. His energy is low. He doesn’t seem to have much confidence and he can’t seem to sustain it when he does suddenly get more confident for a short period of time. His pre and post snap process is too slow. To be honest—it does not look like he wants to be the starting quarterback of the Texas Longhorns. Where have I had Manning on my 2027 NFL Draft Board this season? Fluctuating between a third and fourth round value over his past three games, which is either a high or low ceiling developmental prospect. To me— The game vs. No. 1 Ohio State matching up against Ohio State Defensive Coordinator (and former NFL Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator) Matt Patricia was close to an “NFL audition,” and Manning looked like a deer in headlights for most of that game. After the Spain and France game, I tweeted this: “Collective quality outperformed individual quality.” This was just a sense. It was a feeling after the game that I quickly put into words, but I didn’t have any evidence for it. I didn’t have anything other than the feeling that I got from watching the game. So I decided to go into FIFA’s Training Centre and look up the match reports to see if I could find anything that would lead to the conclusion I had: that Spain were collectively better than France. At a glance, the answer was no. Other than expected goals, pretty much everything was around the same: complete passes, pass completion, possession percentage and ball progressions. If you look at the line breaks, you’ll see that France were actually a little bit higher, which makes sense because France typically like to play a little bit more vertically. However, there is one statistic that does show what I felt: offering to receive. France had 329 total offers made, distributed fairly evenly throughout the field, and 114 total offers received. Spain, on the other hand, had 438 total offers made. They made 236 offers in the middle third and 275 offers inside the shape. That is where the numbers really begin to differ. As FIFA defines it, an offer to receive is an off-ball movement that shows intent to support the player on the ball, either to maintain possession or progress the ball. Spain were constantly providing their teammates, through proximity, through closeness, and through angles and lines of support, an option to continue playing. That shows that, in moments when Spain have the ball, there are constantly three, four or five players moving and providing an option to continue to maintain possession. Spain play together. The player on the ball is rarely left alone to solve the moment through their individual quality while everyone else watches. There is an option, an exit plan, some way out in case they need it. Secondly, when we think about this Spanish style, we often think about one touch, two touch, pass, pass, pass. What we often fail to realize is that these players have so much ability on the ball. Even a right back has the quality to beat a player, get out of a press and continue the attack. Playing collectively does not mean removing individual quality. Their individual quality allows the collective to continue playing. Then there are the speed-up moments. Spain can maintain possession, move France, slow the game down and continue offering support, but when the moment to go forward appears, it is time to go forward. They recognize that moment of verticality and they accelerate. Then, if the possibility disappears, they slow down again and continue playing. There is another element of Spain. Once they have moved France back into their final third, they create these structures where they basically suffocate you. Any time the ball pops out, there are players ready to defend and ready to win the next ball in order to keep it going. The structure, the organization and the roles allow them to stay pressing, keep playing together and keep having the ball. Lastly, there is this type of football that I call football from the plaza, fútbol de plaza, where you learn to attack, dribble, pass and play in tight spaces. You learn these interactions and these one-two combinations, but you don’t learn them through the repetition of patterns. You learn them through doing it for your entire childhood in these tight areas. It is play, pass and go, play and go, constantly finding the next interaction and then finding that moment of verticality. That whole sequence shows exactly why Spain are Spain. To summarize, they are constantly offering their teammates support. My initial feeling that collective quality outperformed individual quality came from watching Spain play together, always offering options to the player on the ball rather than watching the player on the ball do something with their individual quality. They offer an option, an exit plan, some way out in case it is needed. The players are also able to escape individually when the collective solution is not immediately available. They recognize the speed-up moments and, when they find themselves in moments where they can go forward, they go vertical. Then they suffocate you through the structure and organization that allow them to win the ball again and keep playing together. And that last piece—the forward pass, play and go—is the kind of thing you get a lot from 3v3, 4v4 and 2v2 games. All in all, fantastic. So, I'm just just going to go ahead and say what a lot of people are already thinking about or are already in agreement with (due to their own first-hand experiences) in saying that, ever since the unfortunate passing of the late Akira Toriyama, the torch of his memory which SHOULD’VE been handled with honor, now feels like it has been dropped by the very company who was entrusted with preserving his legacy. I love Dragon Ball. I have been a fan of this franchise for over 25 years. I have poured my time, my money and a large part of my life into this franchise. Dragon Ball has given me more than I could possibly begin to express or put into words. My passion and my love for Dragon Ball is real. But to me, I think that the heads of the Dragon Ball IP and the executives who call the shots have done nothing but stagnate this franchise into the void because within recent years, they have done nothing provide us with a clear and transparent roadmap to look forward to. There have been no new updates or developments leading up to the return of the Dragon Ball Super Manga and the next major arc to unfold within it. Which speaking of “New DBS Arcs”, they introduced Black Frieza for the very first time (from literally out of nowhere, mind you) which happened 3 YEARS AGO, in watching him close out the Granolah Arc, only to NEVER BE SEEN or heard from by anyone, ever again with the exception of cover art. The Dragon Ball Super Anime was abandoned in March 2018 (Yes, abandoned - don’t try and insulate otherwise). Dragon Ball Daima ended (with the English dub ending soon). The Super Dragon Ball Heroes Anime and Manga were both shit-canned and have ended. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero was 3 years ago. Dragon Ball Super: Broly was almost 7 years ago. Battle of Gods and Resurrection F are both 10+ years old. The games are currently carrying the IP forward, but to what extent? The list goes on. And You know EXACTLY what I’m talking about as well because everyone has felt it and everyone can see it. The company behind this franchise and the figureheads who sit in charge of having to oversee it, are clueless, indecisive and directionless. I recorded this THREE YEARS AGO today!!! I posted this video hours before the “2020 COLLECTION” drop on NiftyGateway — a record breaking sale that caught the interest of Christie’s and helped set up that historic auction three months later… It was clear to me at that time that people were starting to look at digital art in a very different way and that this process is actually not new, but something that other mediums had also went though where they were first considered just “craft” and then finally “art”. Since then I have been fully blown away by the amount of progress in legitimizing digital art that has been made. The strength and depth of this community continues to amaze me and I am humbled and honored to be small part of it along side so many innovative and inspiring artists. 🙏🙏🙏 That being said we are still VERY, VERY early into this journey of digital art being appreciated and respected and we have so much work to do and areas to explore. Our world is getting more and more digital so I can’t wait to see where things go from here as new tools, techniques and possibilities for expression are literally being invented everyday!!!! tldr; KEEP FUCKING PUSHING. 💪❤️🙏

Diagonal delivery vs L shape delivery. When I got up to 95, all I thought about was getting as deep into my back leg as possible. When I made the jump to 98, what I did was get into that drop a lot quicker. Now as I train to throw 100, I’m starting to think about it differently. If I sink too deep into my back leg, I create more of a drop and drive delivery where I have to drop first and then create energy toward the target. Rather than having it happen at the same time. Where I’m going down and out at the same rate. That’s the most efficient way to create as much energy toward the target as possible. One of the big fixes I’ve made is dropping into the inside of my back foot. Rather than putting force into the whole foot. This prevents me from getting too deep because I can’t get into a squat position when I’m putting force into the inside of my back leg. It also helps me create more energy toward the target. When you put force into the inside of your back foot, you’ll naturally move forward more than you move down. Pressing, transitions and goals in Canada! After the hiring of Jesse Marsch this week by Canada Soccer , there has been lots of talk about pressing and transitions in the football community. This is THE style of play that we have used for the last 5 years with Alliance United FC in @L1OMens and will give you some insight in how this can look. We went away from the 'possession' based 1-4-3-3 that everyone has been using as the 'best way' to develop players and win games. Many say this is the 'right way' of playing. However, we use the players' abilities and inabilities as the starting point and based on players produced in Canada, within our youth system, this is the way we think will get us the best results and help our players get to the next level. You need to understand youth development in our country to understand what is and what is not being taught to young players. This is not a negative outlook, it is just looking at the reality. Many mistake this style of play as just non-stop pressing and chaos. Yes, these two aspects are important but it is a much more deliberate and planned way of playing that is used to predict where the opposition will play the ball, where the ball can be dictated and what areas the opposition leave open for transitions when they attack. In 2019, I was introduced to Ernst Tanner former Academy Director of Red Bull Salzburg and current Philadelphia Union Sporting Director that has led the club to being one of the top clubs in MLS and arguably the best academies in North America the last few years. Both organisations are known for their pressing and fast transitions in addition to producing top players. He became a mentor to me and gave me insights and education on this style of play. He has changed the way I look at football. Every season we try to recruit players that can play this style that I will describe below and we do not waiver in the way we played. Every game since 2019 Alliance United FC have played either in a 1-4-2-2-2 or a 1-4-4-2 midfield diamond....every game. We have no secrets in how we play. We focus on defending, pressing, forcing teams into mistakes and transition football. It is important to understand that we do not care how much possession we have and we actually want the opposition to have the ball most of the time. Stats in football show that only when a team has the ball 70% or more in a match their is a correlation to winning. Anything less is not correlated to winning in a certain match. In addition, 80% of goals are scored under 5 passes or less and under 10 seconds when regaining possession. We follow the trend! So, here are some important points based on the video: a) Pressing higher up the pitch when possible. All 11 players are committed to the team intention (principles) and if anybody is not committed and does not contribute to this style of play, they do not play. There is no leeway on this. If we do not win the ball on the high press, everyone is to drop behind the ball as fast as possible to restart the press closer to our goal. b) Based on the opponent's scouting we press certain players and decide if will press closer to the sideline and 'pin' the player to the sideline or we dictate the passes and dribbles centrally and 'surround' the player to win the ball in central positions. We also decide if we will sometimes drop lower for the opposition to advance so we can play behind them when winning the ball. This is done if we scout that the opposition centre-backs are slower than our two strikers. This means we will 'outrun' them in the space they leave behind. c) When winning the ball we want to exploit space behind their backline as the priority which means that a player(s) need to be passing options behind the backline and preferably centrally which is closer to the goal, players winning the ball has to look to play the ball to the player furthest up the pitch. Possession is not a priority but scoring goals as fast as possible is. d) When winning the ball we stay as central as possible with passes and dribbling. We use the width of the penalty area (44 yards) as the preferable dimension when transitioning. We want to stay within this width. The wider the team plays the ball, the more time the opposition has to block the middle. PLAY AS VERTICALLY AS POSSIBLE! The emphasis is to get the ball to the two strikers and play 1v1 against the CBs. e) We know that most youth players grow up playing against a 1-4-3-3 which means there is one central striker meaning the centre-backs one back press and one can cover. Against 2 strikers this is not possible and many centre-backs do not have the ability to play 1v1 with space behind them. They are not taught the cues to step and press or drop to protect space behind them. They are never taught at youth level. We exploit this deficiency. e) All 11 players must get up the pitch to close the spaces if we lose the ball from our attacking transition so the opposition cannot transition against us and we can counter-press. f) A goal is the best outcome based on the objective of attacking but at the minimum we want to get a shot on goal from a transition. Pressing, transitions and goals in Canada! After the hiring of Jesse Marsch this week by Canada Soccer , there has been lots of talk about pressing and transitions in the football community. This is THE style of play that we have used for the last 5 years with Alliance United FC in @L1OMens and will give you some insight in how this can look. We went away from the 'possession' based 1-4-3-3 that everyone has been using as the 'best way' to develop players and win games. Many say this is the 'right way' of playing. However, we use the players' abilities and inabilities as the starting point and based on players produced in Canada, within our youth system, this is the way we think will get us the best results and help our players get to the next level. You need to understand youth development in our country to understand what is and what is not being taught to young players. This is not a negative outlook, it is just looking at the reality. Many mistake this style of play as just non-stop pressing and chaos. Yes, these two aspects are important but it is a much more deliberate and planned way of playing that is used to predict where the opposition will play the ball, where the ball can be dictated and what areas the opposition leave open for transitions when they attack. In 2019, I was introduced to Ernst Tanner former Academy Director of Red Bull Salzburg and current Philadelphia Union Sporting Director that has led the club to being one of the top clubs in MLS and arguably the best academies in North America the last few years. Both organisations are known for their pressing and fast transitions in addition to producing top players. He became a mentor to me and gave me insights and education on this style of play. He has changed the way I look at football. Every season we try to recruit players that can play this style that I will describe below and we do not waiver in the way we played. Every game since 2019 Alliance United FC have played either in a 1-4-2-2-2 or a 1-4-4-2 midfield diamond....every game. We have no secrets in how we play. We focus on defending, pressing, forcing teams into mistakes and transition football. It is important to understand that we do not care how much possession we have and we actually want the opposition to have the ball most of the time. Stats in football show that only when a team has the ball 70% or more in a match their is a correlation to winning. Anything less is not correlated to winning in a certain match. In addition, 80% of goals are scored under 5 passes or less and under 10 seconds when regaining possession. We follow the trend! FT 🐝 Brentford 3 v 0 Spurs 🐓 Normal service has resumed 🤦🏻‍♂️😡 What an Embarrassing performance tonight end of. There were so many players that were shit everyone needs to look at themselves tonight. Richy,Bergvall,Gallagher,van Hecke and Tonali to name but a few were poor for me. Only Tel comes out with any credit for his effort for setting up Moore but even that’s a push We simply couldn’t defend We were absolutely shambolic in that 1st half of football,we were second to every ball, so weak through the middle they just ran through us. They looked way ahead of us in fitness and physicality. We were simply outclassed. It was summed up in the 1st half with their fans singing what a waste of money to Tonali, and he deserved it. Richarlison spent more time on the floor than running at the defence. Before their first goal, you just knew it was coming, so many warning signings. The second goal came from mistakes from Richy and Bergvall that led to Kinsky mistaking parrying it to Yanelt. Bergvall and Gallagher unsurprisingly went off at HT It took no time to concede a 3rd Moore spurned 2 good chances to pull goals back before they missed a penalty and total embarrassment This is nowhere near our real starting 11, so I have to go easy. Brentford just steamrolled Frankfurt 7-0 last week. What have we been doing in training for the last few weeks ? #COYS 🤍💙
