That's why the government should not pander to the posh and serve the crowd, if they completed the metro 4 from Wadala to Kasarvadavali, that would have been 100% utilised ...but those aren't the fancy areas

This is irresponsible reporting. This line is partially opened. Let it go to Cuffe Parade before you start writing obituaries.

You have to wait until all metro connectivities gets interconnected! It's not a flop show. Overcrowded local trains are the flop show, note it.

One of the major reason being inconvenient locations of last 2 stations at BKC and Aarey station and total lack of public or private transportation after leaving stations. Even footpath is not there to walk and reach BKC or MU from Bandra Colony.

This is music to the ears of someone who lived in Mumbai for 10 years and left disappointed because the infrastructure just wouldnโ€™t keep up. Listen to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra on the massive infrastructure push around Mumbai: โ€ขIndiaโ€™s largest airport is getting ready, and the NAINA city around it will be three times bigger than Mumbaiโ€”set to become a business magnet. โ€ขYou will be able to travel from Vadhawan Port to BKC in just 25 minutes. โ€ขVadhawan Port is Maharashtraโ€™s biggest infrastructure project. โ€ขIt will transform not just Maharashtraโ€™s economy but also that of Bharat. โ€ขJNPT Port has put Mumbai on the world map, accounting for 65% of Indiaโ€™s container traffic. โ€ขVadhawan Port will be three times bigger than JNPT. โ€ขAt Vadhawan Port, we will create a fourth Mumbai, with the cityโ€™s third airport coming up there. โ€ขBetween 2009 and 2014, Maharashtra failed to develop robust infrastructure in Mumbai, leading to high living costs and prompting startups to relocate to cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad. As a result, Mumbai missed out on the IT revolution. But now, with our infrastructure projects, that is changing. โ€ขMumbaiโ€”not Bengaluru or Hyderabadโ€”is Indiaโ€™s true startup capital. โ€ข30% of our startups are tech companies. โ€ขNavi Mumbai is Indiaโ€™s data center capital, commanding 60% of the countryโ€™s data center capacity. West Bengal has similar potential, but it cannot realize any of it as long as Mamata Banerjee remains Chief Minister. She must be voted out. The same goes for Tamil Naduโ€”Stalin is dragging it down.

Welcome to Namma Metro, where you no longer need to go all the way to the station to join a queue; the line comes right to your doorstep! Such is the situation at Nagasandra Metro Station, where a massive crowd has gathered, with the queue extending over 1 kilometer as people wait to board. This unprecedented rush of commuters, forced to stand in long lines that spill far beyond the station premises, highlights the strain on the Green Lineโ€™s capacity. This overcrowding is primarily due to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) delaying the opening of the remaining three stations on the Green Line. The absence of these key stations has concentrated the influx of passengers at existing stations, leading to congestion, long waiting times, and discomfort for commuters. Daily travelers are enduring significant inconvenience, as they struggle with the inadequate capacity of the current metro infrastructure. The opening of these three stations is urgently needed to help disperse the crowd, ease congestion, and provide a more comfortable and efficient metro experience. BMRCL is urged to prioritize the inauguration of the pending stations to ensure smoother, more accessible travel for thousands of passengers who rely on Namma Metro daily. Joint CP, Traffic, Bengaluru DGP KARNATAKA S.
