Officers made contact with a 26-year-old black male on the porch outside the house. Officers noticed the male had a visible gun in his pocket and gave commands for the suspect not to touch the gun. The suspect disobeyed the commands, jumped a nearby fence, and ran. Officers prevented the escape by cutting him off. Officers again gave verbal commands to get on the ground and not reach for the gun. The suspect did not comply. As a result, he was tased and at some point, the gun fell out of his pocket. The suspect pulled the taser prongs out and attempted to reach for his gun that was on the ground near him. In response, officers shot the suspect. Officers attempted life saving measures, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene. On March 16, 2026, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Dallas Police officers assigned to the Project Safe Neighborhood Task Force located a vehicle that was reported stolen in an armed carjacking on March 15. The officers called for additional units and AIR-1 to maintain visual contact with the vehicle before attempting a traffic stop in the 12300 block of Greenville Avenue. As officers approached and ordered the driver to exit the vehicle, the car took off, and the officers immediately began to pursue it. With AIR-1 overhead, the suspect drove the wrong way down Greenville Avenue, and officers chased the driver onto I-635 with the suspectโ€™s speed approaching 120 miles per hour. The suspect exited the freeway at Jupiter Road and continued to speed through residential areas. Because the helicopter was tracking the suspect, officers were able to safely navigate the residential areas and surface streets, following the suspect back onto I-635. The suspect sped through a construction zone, again reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour until he exited on Town East Boulevard and headed into the City of Mesquite, driving into oncoming traffic into the 2000 block of Town East Boulevard. With traffic building ahead, the suspect attempted to drive over the median and his vehicle became disabled. Dallas Police officers, assisted by officers from Mesquite and deputies from the Dallas Sheriffโ€™s Office, took the suspect into custody. He was identified as 46-year-old Alfredo Hernandez and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a state jail felony; Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle, a third-degree felony; Manufacture / Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a second-degree felony; and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon, a third-degree felony. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues. This investigation is documented under case number 037178-2026.

Incidentally, it was another female police officer who threw the first punch in this insane altercation. Three officers sprung the 20 year old suspect (Mohammed Fahir Amaaz) in a car park after heโ€™d just been fighting with another man, whom he allegedly headbutted (Abdulkareem Ismaeil) at Starbucks. The three officers approached the suspect from behind. Two female officers, one male officer. When asked in court: โ€œIt is important you identify yourselves as police officers, isn't it?โ€ PC Ward (in the video) said: "I don't think we had any time to do that. We didn't have any time for rational discussion with this male as it turned violently quickly." The suspects brother (26 year old Muhammad Amaad) approached the officers who had hold of his younger brother and were pushing his head down. The female officer lent over and punched the older brother (who was not a suspect) in the face. After the female officer threw the first punch, the male officer also punched the suspectโ€™s brother in the face. The suspect went into a frenzy and broke this female officers nose. The male officer then tased the suspect, kicked him in the face then stamped on his head. Had the suspect been handcuffed and taken to the station, this could have been avoided, the two female officers were unable to cuff him, despite having grabbed hold of his arms. Heโ€™s obviously a violent young man, so punching his brother in the face was an hysterical response from the first female officer. The second female officer who got her nose broken said: โ€œI was terrified to be honest. I was absolutely terrified. I had never experienced that level of violence towards me in my life.โ€ โ€œI didn't know who was going to come up at me next. I was scared of going after this male again and being punched in the face againโ€ Let me just say, I have been hit by a man, itโ€™s an awful experience and one that women shouldnโ€™t ever have to face. Unfortunately, feminism has convinced women that working in potentially dangerous roles where they need to tackle violent criminals is โ€˜liberatingโ€™. Protect women by getting them out of frontline forces.
