This is Osun, not Saraki Kwara State. When Governor Adeleke met with the โ€œFederal might," it was a normal visitation, but when the APC governorship candidate, AMBO, met with the โ€œFederal might," it was braggingโ€”OKAY! The president of Nigeria is an APC member. He has the right to support any APC members vying for election in Nigeria. Under President Tinubu's administration, we witnessed a free, fair, and less violent election in Nigeria. Recall the 2022 election: an APC member, FPMBUHARI, was the president in 2022, yet you didnโ€™t accuse the OSUN APC of โ€œFederal Mightโ€ when we lost to ADELEKE. Itโ€™s now that you all are playing a pity game. The Osun election is about grassroots political workings and not social media politics. The margins in the Osun election are always closer between the APC and the PDP, regardless of the candidates both parties presented. The Osun election is always tiedโ€”this already refutes your โ€œwide margin speculation.โ€ These are the results of the last two elections in Osun State. Osun 2022 result. PDPโ€”403,371 APCโ€”375,073 Osun 2018 result APCโ€”255, 505 PDPโ€”255,023 The current political structures donโ€™t favor Adeleke. The PDP structure has collapsed, the Accord structure is weak, the bigwigs who assisted the governor's emergence have left the party, no Aregbesola anti-party, there is no voting till 11pm in Ede again, there are no sympathy votes, etc. The current Osun election DATA doesnโ€™t favor Governor Adeleke. No Chochocho. No emotional or media blackmail would work this time around. Please, Egbon, always tell the governor the truth! The only governor who had a wide margin was Aregbesola. Aregbesola achieved it via the defection of PDP bigwigs to the APC, despite being the Governor then. The likes of Oyinlola, Serubawon(Late. Isiaka Adeleke), and others. Aregbesola APC (394,684) and OMISORE PDP(292,747) As of today, Osun APC is adding up at the grassroots. We aren't relying on "Federal might." The President will support any APC members vying for an electionโ€”Thatโ€™s sacrosanct! APC will win the Osun August 15th election and weโ€™d vote massively for President Tinubu in 2027โœŠ๐Ÿผ. BOLA lโ€™Osun. BOLA ni Federal.

Wike is talking rubbish. His gloating, rigging, showboating, & garrulousness wonโ€™t have saved the APC. Federal might failed in Osun. He would have been humiliated by the people of Osun State & Davidoโ€™s tweets. There was federal might in Osun at the lead-up to that election. Tinubu froze Osun LGA accounts & allowed Oyetolaโ€™s men to kill Adelekeโ€™s men. The EFCC froze Osun State bank accounts. The APC bought votes for 20,000 & 50,000 Naira. We saw Osun people say it live on cameras. They sang for the defeated Senate President & APC governors on their shameful exit from Osun. More than 22 APC governors & 57 lawmakers invaded Osun State with their thugs & police escorts. President Jonathan is right for admonishing them thoroughly in his tweet. Serving governors invading another state during elections is an aberration. We saw the illiterate Monday Okpebholo & his thugs try to intimidate Imole Adeleke, Davido, & the powerful people of Osun State. The truth remains that the APC used federal might in Osun, but the peopleโ€™s might was stronger. In the end, the peopleโ€™s might prevailed. Bola Ahmed Tinubu is vindictive & power drunk. Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke extending the olive branch to Asiwaju is out of respect, regionalism, & political considerations. To put it more mildly; to attract the so-called โ€œfederal projects,โ€ to get him off his back! There was no pact or prior agreement. There are winners & losers here. The biggest loser is Min. Gboyega Oyetola. That man failed as an exec. governor. He has failed as the Minister of Blue Economy & Marine Spirits. The presidential election will throw up its own peculiarities & persuasions. People lose a battle to win the war. For now, Osun people will live to fight another day. I am super proud of them. They have given us the much needed formula & we must make use of it

#ChivayoInStateHouseMeetingScandal #BarredFromSeeingNigerianBillionaire Prominent and flamboyant ex-convict tenderpreneur Wicknell Chivayo gatecrashed State House in Harare yesterday in a desperate bid to attend the meeting between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote to sign a US$1 billion investment deal, but was barred from the event. The incident left Mnangagwa's security and protocol teams fretting, and those attending the event bewildered. Chivayo had lied to his hangers-on that he was going to meet Dangote to sign a mega deal and officials were waiting for him at State House. His social media hacks started posting false stories about the issue, with the narrative that he had an appointment with Mnangagwa and Dangote. Chivayo used that false claim to worm his way into State House to try to gatecrash the meeting for a photo opportunity as there was no business deal between him and Dangote. Before that, Chivayo had begged state officials and organisers to attend the event, but was rebuffed. Apart from Mnangagwa and Dangote, the meeting was attended by cabinet ministers, government officials and business executives. Chivayo, who has expressed public ambitions to be a billionaire and always hobnobs with Presidents in Africa and rich people whenever he gets a chance, stormed State House - uninvited - and tried to gatecrash the meeting, but was stopped dead in his tracks by Mnangagwa's aides, including his son Sean, who is part of the close security unit, and turned away. "It was drama; a spectacle. Chivayo was not invited to the meeting. He had spent some time trying to convince the President's protocol and security teams that he should be allowed to attend the Dangote meeting. He begged them for days, but all in vain. He badly wanted to see Dangote and pitch his quick-buck schemes, but, as usual, he had also seen a big photo opportunity for himself. So he contrived to deceive or scam his hangers-on and state officials. All he wanted was to get a photo with Dangote to enhance his status and in the process scam people that he is signing deals with the richest man in Africa, wealthiest black person in the world. Chivayo likes Dangote, but for his own interests. Yes, he truly admires him, but the difference is that one is a genuine businessman, while the other is a tenderpreneur. Their business models, values and ambitions are so different, and not aligned at all. One is building generational wealth, while the other one is looking for tenders, fame and flamboyance for temporary gratification," a senior government official who attended the meeting told The NewsHawks. "Chivayo's plan this time failed. He had plotted this after failing to get invited to the meeting. Under false pretences, he then negotiated his way at the gate into State House, which is a security breach I'm told, and tried to force his way into the meeting, but he was stopped. He was told it was not possible to attend because he was not invited. His attempt to name-drop the President was promptly and curtly rejected. He was told to go away, so he was embarrassed and humiliated." Journalists covering the event say they saw Chivayo walking towards State House offices after parking his car. "I saw him walking from his car coming to State House offices where we were, carrying a brown envelope and thought he had been invited last minute, but it soon became clear he was trying to gatecrash the meeting. This reminds me of the way he manoeuvred to take a photo with Kenyan President William Ruto at Trade Fair in Bulawayo last year. Out of that deft move, he has now become Ruto's friend and has got business opportunities in Kenya. That is his business model - infleunce-peddling; hence he has met many Presidents in the region, among them those from Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Nigeria and Malawi, among others. But this time it failed. It was really embarrassing. After the drama, he walked away with his tail between his legs."

IG of Police Is a Blackmailer Who Plays to the Gallery โ€“ Osun Information Commissioner, Kolapo Alimi The Osun State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, has strongly criticised the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, accusing him of "playing to the gallery" during his recent visit to Osun State and alleging that his comments were politically motivated. Speaking during a podcast aired on Sunday in both Yoruba and English, Alimi described the Inspector-General as a "blackmailer" whose conduct was allegedly intended to serve the interests of the opposition APC rather than uphold professional policing. According to the Commissioner, the Inspector-General's public comments suggesting that Governor Ademola Adeleke was harbouring suspected criminals in the Government House were inappropriate and inconsistent with the conduct expected of the nation's highest-ranking police officer. Alimi said: "A truly unbiased and professional police officer would have discussed the issue with the Governor behind the scenes instead of making such uncomplimentary and unsubstantiated remarks in the presence of journalists. That was done in bad faith. That is a subtle blackmail to destroy the reputation of the Governor. That is playing to the gallery to seek public validation. That was unbecoming of a professional and diligent Inspector-General of Police. A diligent police officer should have got the touted criminals arrested before even coming to Osun if truly the Governor is harbouring criminals." The Commissioner maintained that the Inspector-General's remarks were biased and politically motivated, alleging that they were aimed at advancing the interests of the APC rather than ensuring impartial law enforcement. It will be recalled that during his meeting with Governor Ademola Adeleke last Thursday, the Inspector-General of Police stated that he had been briefed by the Commissioner of Police in Osun State that some wanted suspects, including Emir Ajagungbade, Nurudeen Alowonle, Solomon Adefioye (popularly known as Solo Iwara), Jide Jแปda and other persons on the police wanted list, were allegedly taking refuge within the Osun State Government House, thereby preventing their arrest by the police. Governor Adeleke, however, rejected the allegation, insisting that no wanted criminal was being shielded within the Government House.

PDP Backs Wike: Says โ€˜He Has Always Been There for Usโ€™ The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reiterated its strong support for Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, commending his loyalty and contributions to the party. At a book launch held in Wikeโ€™s honour, the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the PDP, Taofeek Arapaja, emphasized that despite internal party challenges, including members with an โ€œentitlement mentality,โ€ Wike continues to earn admiration and respect. Arapaja described Wike as one of the most devoted and loyal leaders the party has ever had. He stated: โ€œOur mentor and principal, who has never left the PDP for a day, is one of the most committed and loyal party leaders we have ever had. He has done well, he is doing well, and we wish him well in all his future endeavours.โ€ Arapaja praised Wikeโ€™s steadfast advocacy for equity, justice, and fairness, highlighting his leadership role in the G5 group and his consistent support for fellow party members. He contrasted this with some leaders who only engage with the party when seeking help, affirming Wikeโ€™s integrity and dedication. โ€œWe know you, and we always love and appreciate you. Some people believe in entitlement mentality, but we will always stand by you because you are a man of integrity, honour, and a performer,โ€ Arapaja remarked. The PDP official also responded to recent criticisms made by Senate President Godswill Akpabio about the party. Arapaja expressed disappointment in Akpabioโ€™s negative remarks, pointing out that the Senate President, who was previously Governor of Akwa Ibom State under the PDP, owes much of his political career to the party. โ€œThe foundation of all political parties is the PDP. I am surprised when someone who is a product of the PDP speaks negatively about it,โ€ he said. Arapaja further acknowledged Akpabioโ€™s performance as governor under the PDP, noting, โ€œNobody can dispute the fact that the present Senate President performed during his tenure as governor under the PDP.โ€

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU RETURNS TO ABUJA AFTER EID-EL-KABIR HOLIDAY President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after the Eid-el-Kabir holiday in Lagos, during which he undertook a series of important political, governmental, and national engagements. President Bola Tinubu, whose plane touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at exactly 5:17 pm, was received by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; the Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu; and other senior government officials. During the holiday period, the President received the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, and several groups for the traditional Sallah homage, including the leadership of the Senate, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Members of the Nigeria Governors' Forum under the leadership of its Chairman and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; APC stakeholders from Oyo State, including its governorship candidate, Sen. Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, as well as APC candidates for the House of Representatives and State House of Assembly from Lagos State, also visited the President. President Tinubu on Monday attended the International Fleet Review at Eko Atlantic City Waterfront as part of activities commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Nigerian Navy. He commissioned three Nigerian Naval vessels: NNS Oloibiri, NNS Mambila, and NNS Gurara on the occasion. On the same day, the President also received His Excellency Romuald Wadagni, President of the Republic of Benin, in a meeting that reinforced the longstanding bond of friendship, regional cooperation, and economic partnership between the neighbouring countries. Before the Eid-el-Kabir holiday, the President had also visited Lagos to participate in the primaries of the All Progressives Congress, electing candidates for the state house of assembly, governor, House of Representatives, the senate and the presidency. If you still support Peter Obi, then in my view you should take a hard look at the facts. Obi repeatedly claims he doesnโ€™t engage in transactional politics, yet he negotiated his way to a presidential ticket. Somehow, that political capital never extended to his closest allies. Not Aisha Yesufu. Not Gbadebo Rhodesโ€‘Vivor. Not a single major figure in his circle secured a meaningful political structure through him. And that leads to the real question: Where are the politicians Peter Obi has mentored in the last decade? Name one. There is no visible political lineage, no pipeline of leaders he has cultivated, no evidence of institutional development around him. Contrast that with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) whose political mentorship record is extensive and wellโ€‘documented. Whether one agrees with his politics or not, the outcomes are undeniable. Under his influence, the following individuals rose to national prominence: 1. Prof. Yemi Osinbajo โ€” Former Vice President of Nigeria; previously Tinubuโ€™s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice. 2. Babajide Sanwoโ€‘Olu โ€” Current Governor of Lagos State. 3. Babatunde Raji Fashola โ€” Former Governor of Lagos State, and former Minister; previously Tinubuโ€™s Chief of Staff. 4. Akinwunmi Ambode โ€” Former Governor of Lagos State; previously Auditor General for Local Governments under Tinubu. 5. Obafemi Hamzat โ€” Current Deputy Governor of Lagos State; served as a commissioner during Tinubuโ€™s administration. APC Gubernatorial Candidate n 2027. 6. Seyi Tinubu โ€” A rising youthโ€‘influence figure within business and political networks. And beyond Lagos, Tinubuโ€™s political influence extends to figures like: 1. Gboyega Oyetola โ€“ Former Governor of Osun State and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy. 2. Dele Alake โ€“ Minister of Solid Minerals Development. 3. Lai Mohammed โ€” Former Minister of Information; originally Tinubuโ€™s Chief of Staff. 4. Kayode Fayemi, former Ekiti State Governor and former Minister. 5. Rauf Aregbesola, former Osun State Governor and former Minister. 6. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele โ€” Current Majority Leader of the Senate. So again, the question stands: Where is Peter Obiโ€™s equivalent list? Where are the leaders he has built, empowered, or positioned? Where is the political structure that outlives him? If the answer to this post is silence or abuse, then the comparison speaks for itself. PS: Hear what the current Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima has to say about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Earlier today, I addressed a World Press Conference in my capacity as the Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council (TICC) on the disturbing rise in political violence in Osun State and the tragic killing of 14-year-old Ezekiel Olapade in Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government Area. With deep sorrow, I condemned the gruesome murder of the innocent teenager and demanded the immediate arrest and prosecution of Saheed Kareem, popularly known as "Tanfeani," and every individual connected with this heinous crime, following the public identification of the gang leader by the police. I warned that political violence is fast becoming a dangerous trend in Osun State, posing grave threats to peace, security, and democratic stability. I noted that the unfortunate incident in Ilobu is not isolated, but part of a disturbing pattern of violence that has claimed lives and endangered citizens in Ikire, Ilesa, Owode-Ede, Osogbo, and other parts of the state. I called on the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu TUNJI DISU, psc(+), NPM Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Police Force_CRU, to order a comprehensive investigation into all incidents of political violence and ensure that perpetrators, sponsors, and collaborators are brought to justice irrespective of their political affiliations or social status. I also expressed our lack of confidence in the leadership of the Osun State Police Command under Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Gottan, citing the recurring incidents of violence and the growing public perception of selective law enforcement. Consequently, I called for his immediate redeployment and a thorough investigation into the apparent operational failures under his watch. Furthermore, I appealed to the National Human Rights Commission, civil society organisations, election observers, diplomatic missions, and the international community to closely monitor developments in Osun State before the situation degenerates further. As supporters of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, and members of the Accord family, we remain committed to peace, democracy, and the rule of law. However, peace can only endure where justice prevails and accountability is guaranteed. Enough is enough. No society can prosper under the shadow of politically motivated killings. We demand justice for young Ezekiel Olapade and all victims of violence. Those responsible must be arrested and prosecuted, and every institution charged with protecting lives must rise to its constitutional duty. The people of Osun State deserve peace, security, and a democracy free from fear and bloodshed. #JusticeForEzekielOlapade #SayNoToPoliticalViolence #RedeployIbrahimGottanFromOsunState #PeaceForOsun #Imole2026 #ImoleCarryOnAccordingly

BRUTAL: Watch as MS NOW's Catherine Rampell buries Graham Platner over his campaign suspension video GRAHAM PLATNER: From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank all of you. And keep fighting. We're gonna win someday. CATHERINE RAMPELL: Well, that was Graham Platner officially announcing that he is dropping off of the ballot for Maine Senate or for, excuse me, for federal Senate from Maine- but taking zero responsibility for any of the scandals and more troubling things in his past that have destroyed that campaign, instead blaming, let's see, corporate media, the political establishment, lots of hate for the political establishment, saying that โ€œWe banded together. We did it the way we were told we were supposed to make change, and we won. And now they are not going to let us have it.โ€ So lots of finger-pointing and blame and not taking any responsibility. Note that whoever he conceives of as the political establishment, you do have many of his once allies, including Bernie Sanders and Ro Khanna, also calling for him to drop out- people who believe many of the same policy ideas believe in many of the same policy ideas that Graham Platner himself says that he was taken down for. He also said during that ten-minute video that โ€œAll we were asking for was healthcare, was to end the genocide, to use our taxpayer dollars at home to uplift our communities instead of waging war overseas. We were asking for a fair system. We are asking for an end to the corruption.โ€ So, lots of allegations that he was being taken out by nefarious forces that are forcing him to suspend his campaign rather than the drip, drip, drip of scandal after scandal that has dogged his campaign and that have littered the last few months with red flags.

VIDEO: How we used religion to give Tinubu victory โ€“ El-Rufai The former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has said that he and some northern governors used religion as a political tool to give victory to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election. According to the former governor, the decision to use religion as a political strategy was to help tackle the issue of tribalism and religion in politics in the country. The former governor stated this in a viral video. He was speaking to an audience in the Hausa language in Kaduna at an event before handing over to his successor. He said, โ€œAllah sees our heart, me and Zamfara State Governor, Mutawalle did it because of God and we didnโ€™t do it because of anything. We only do it in order to have solutions to the current religious problem we are having in Nigeria and for us to give South West Muslims a sense of belonging to rule. And it is because of religion that we used that gave Asiwaju victory.โ€ He also noted that the Muslim/Muslim ticket that he used to achieve political success in Kaduna has now been replicated in Nigeria with the emergence of Bola Tinubu as president and Kashim Shetima as vice president. He said, โ€œWhat we are able to achieve in Kaduna state now has been achieved in Nigeria as a whole. There is no liar that will come and say he will do politics as a Christian and win an election. Even Peter Obi didnโ€™t win.โ€ He stated that he alongside other northern governors successfully pushed for the emergence of a Yoruba Muslim from the South West as president despite opposition from some quarters El Rufai speaking in Hausa said in part, โ€œConcerning the Presidential government, what Professor Akintola said is true. We the Northern governors agreed that the presidential position should go back to the West. It was a verbal promise but a promise whether written or spoken, God knows. โ€œWhen we saw some people plotting for presidential position to remain in the North, we disagreed, we are not like that. We said we are Muslims and we have our traditions and we cannot go back on our words. That was the first step. The second step is after we all agreed or they realised that they cannot do anything, we will tackle the issue of tribalism and religion in politics in this country. We agreed that we will support BAT. โ€œWhen we had that agreement I was not on good terms with him, (Tinubu), we were fighting. But Professor Akintola and their leaders came from Lagos and said this is their thought If power is given to the West since we all agreed that it should be given to them the Yoruba people from the South-West have a problem, their Muslims cannot contest, and win an election. A Christian will have to contest and have a Muslim from the North as a vice. They said since from Abiola it had never happened. They said they wanted that and I asked them to bring the person we will support and BAT got the ticket. We knew he will have to take a Muslim as his vice.โ€ He added, โ€œWhat we are able to achieve in Kaduna state now has been achieved in Nigeria as a whole. There's no liar that will come and say he will do politics as a Christian and win the election. Even Peter Obi didn't win.โ€ Credit: Tafarkin Magabata TV --- Follow us for more breaking news and videos
