Ciaran whelan @whelo35 . If not the best, certainly the unluckiest to miss out on winning one, came onto the panel 96 year after they won and left in 2010 year before they won again. 2 all stars

Iโ€™ve seen enough. Smart Assist has reached its breaking point. I was casually getting a few games in with my Barca team when I encountered a pro player who is Top 22 in the World in PvP divisions and Top 30 in the World in AI divisions using Smart Assist. This guy is clearly not a beginner at the game and I donโ€™t want to hear any sort of nonsense excuse trying to justify him using Smart Assist because this feature was meant to help noobs and beginners at the game not pro players who know the game inside and out. I can only assume that 99% of the playerbase is using Smart Assist. Itโ€™s a fact that I am struggling to come to terms with but this is the unfortunate reality. What has happened is that slowly more and more players who were not using Smart Assist experienced how dreadful it is playing against a Smart Assist user regardless of the skill level of the Smart Assist user and decided to turn it on themselves so they donโ€™t have to endure the suffering that comes with playing against Smart Assist. Itโ€™s a little depressing seeing where the game is at right now but this is unfortunately Konamiโ€™s vision for the game. I just canโ€™t wrap my head around it when you literally can have a garbage team with $0 spent with Smart Assist turned on and be able to smash a fully paid premium Epic and Big Time team by pressing and holding 1 button the entire game. Hopefully soon they will realize that all of the Smart Assist users (which is 99% of the playerbase) will see no need to spend any money on the game since an untrained GP Niklas Sule from the Standard Player list with 67 speed and 48 acceleration (Iโ€™m not lying thatโ€™s literally his stats) is able to catch up with George Best with 100+ speed and 100+ Acceleration.

Nick Saban has always asked this question about Leadership... "How many guys on the team need to be led?" Coach Saban believed in the power of Collective Leadership with his teams. 1. Are most players on your team bought in? 2. Do most players on your team set a good example? These players do not need someone to impact or influence them if they are already making these choices and leading by example. This is the power of collective leadership. Collective leadership is vital to successful teams. I believe there are 7 types of Collective Leaders that all teams need: 1. The GAMER - When the game is on the line. Who does the team look to? Who wants the ball in their hand? It is the Game Leader. They don't "have" to lead in other ways, but it would be best if they did. This player is often the ultimate competitor on the team. 2. The WORKER - Winning Teams have Practice Leaders. They bring energy and focus to each practice. They ensure competitive and strong practices. They Lead by Example. You practice much more than you play. 3. The GATEKEEPER - This leader ensures the Team Culture is Maintained. They put out the fires. They keep the team accountable. Especially when the coach is not there. They are essential in WINNING Teams. 4. The COMMUNICATOR - It is a long season. There will be difficult days. Teams need the Communicator to get through these tough days. They often provide humor and can lighten the mood. They have high Emotional Intelligence. This is an Underappreciated Leader. 5. The CONNECTOR - These players are often your โ€œglueโ€ players. They keep the team connected on the court or field as well as in the locker room and in social settings. 6. The ENERGY GIVER - The Energy Giver brings Positive Energy Every Day! Their Energy is Contagious! This leader knows that nothing great can be accomplished without Enthusiasm. The Energy Leader brings positive energy each day. They feed the team! 7. The SERVER - Finally, the Server embodies Servant Leadership. They are all about the TEAM. They bring a WE-first mentality to all they do. Their focus on the TEAM creates a contagious WE>ME mentality throughout the team. Collective Leadership WINS. _____ Follow me for more actionable ideas on coaching, leadership, and personal growth. Subscribe to my newsletter, ๐Ÿ† Great Teams Better Leaders 123. We Need To Talk About Michael Obafemi. Following the termination of his loan spell with VfL Bochum. The Irishman (25) signed on loan for Blackpool who are 20th in League 1 until the season end. A far cry from the expectation levels weโ€™d come to expect from him a little over two seasons ago. Unlike some who are โ€œoverhypedโ€ I donโ€™t think thatโ€™s the case when it comes to Obafemi. You donโ€™t play for the teams he did at Youth Level if you donโ€™t have something! On reflection though, maybe that constant changing of environment in Academy Footballโ€ฆ Tells its own story? But for the avoidance of any doubt Obafemi is a good player, with the talent to play for Ireland again as well as at a higher club level. Pace and Power in abundance, a good finisher and a really sought after profile. At Southampton he was their second youngest Premier League player aged 17 and 199 days in the 17/18 season vs Tottenham. After three further seasons he left for Swansea in 21/22 finishing that spell with a respectable 39 games, 5 goals and 4 assists from limited mins. This move proved to be inspired and we saw him at his best with Swansea scoring 12 times in 32 Championship games. While that was the best individual season of his career thatโ€™s where things begun to fall apart. Good Numbers always bring speculation of โ€œbigger and better thingsโ€ Burnley in his case. Things ended acrimoniously pushing for a move in January of the next season going on loan to Burnley (to be permanent). Hindsight is wonderful, on reflection was it a poor decision by him. Yes but the margins are razor thin at the elite level and itโ€™s hard to comment on having never been in his situation. But heโ€™s not the first, nor will he be the last to do so. Since, itโ€™s fallen apart for Oba, Burnley didnโ€™t work out and the less said about his loans to Milwall, Plymouth and Bochum the better.. I see questions over his professionalism and attitude. No smoke without fire, but itโ€™s not that simple. Having read the reports, spoken to people and watched probably every interview. Oba is a top guy! The primary issue comes down to his decision making off-the-field and harshly his maturity. Itโ€™s down to him now.

โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ”ต PRESSER ๐Ÿ”ต๐Ÿšจโ€ผ๏ธ ๐ŸŽ™ Liam Roseniorโ€™s Full Pre-Arsenal Press Conference ๐ŸŒ€ Liam Rosenior on squad rotation & not having a โ€œbest XIโ€ โš™๏ธ โ€œI canโ€™t speak for other managers in terms of myself. I donโ€™t have a best XI. I never have done in all of the clubs that Iโ€™ve worked with. Why? Because of the demands โ€” the physical demands of the Premier League, Ligue 1 or the Championship now with 46 games. You need a squad, and you need to use the players in the correct way to challenge over the course of the season. Iโ€™ve been here three and a half weeks, Iโ€™m still getting to know the players. I try to pick the right starting team, but I also try to pick a bench that gives us the right finishing team. So far, the substitutes in every game have made a huge impact. Thatโ€™s not just tactical โ€” a big part of that is mentality.โ€ ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’ช ๐ŸŒ€ Liam Rosenior on Estevรฃo โค๏ธ โ€œHe is going through a really difficult time for personal reasons. I wonโ€™t put any pressure on him when he returns. It has to be right for him.โ€ ๐ŸŒ€ Liam Rosenior on facing Arsenal โš”๏ธ โ€œThe reality is Arsenal are favourites. Theyโ€™re a goal up and theyโ€™re at home, so theyโ€™ll expect to go through. We need to take it as far and as deep as we can, then hopefully the second half of the tie will be massive in terms of turning it around.โ€ ๐ŸŒ€ Liam Rosenior on Jamie Gittensโ€™ injury ๐Ÿš‘ โ€œJamie unfortunately felt his hamstring. I donโ€™t yet know the extent of the injury. Itโ€™s a real shame because I wanted to give him a start and allow him to show what he can do. Hopefully itโ€™s not too bad.โ€ ๐ŸŒ€ Liam Rosenior on Chelseaโ€™s mentality in big games ๐Ÿ”ฅ โ€œThey can play in big games and they can perform in big games โ€” and it is definitely a big game on Tuesday.โ€ ๐ŸŒ€ Liam Rosenior on focus & preparation ๐ŸงŠ โ€œTalking about what Arsenal or Mikel Arteta have or havenโ€™t done isnโ€™t my concern. My concern is resting and recovering. Itโ€™s another three-game week. Itโ€™s going to be a very physical game on Tuesday, and my job is to prepare the team as best I can.โ€ ๐ŸŒ€ Liam Rosenior on Arsenalโ€™s recent nerves ๐Ÿ˜Œ โ€œWeโ€™ll see. Weโ€™ll see. Weโ€™ll go and play our game.โ€ ๐ŸŒ€ Liam Rosenior on experience within his squad ๐Ÿ† โ€œWhen I look at my players โ€” Enzo Fernandez has won a World Cup, and the group won two trophies last year. They can play in big games, they can perform in big games. Tuesday is definitely a big game.โ€ ๐ŸŒ€ Liam Rosenior on Enzo Fernรกndez ๐Ÿง โšก โ€œHeโ€™s fit. You see him arriving in the box in the 92nd, 93rd minute. Enzo has a rare athleticism โ€” a gift โ€” where he recovers very quickly. His distances covered are top from a data point of view, and the quality and leadership he brings to the team is huge. Iโ€™m really enjoying working with him.โ€ ๐ŸŒ€ Liam Rosenior on Mamadou Sarr ๐Ÿค โ€œI donโ€™t speak about players who are at other clubs. Itโ€™s something Iโ€™ve never done, and I wonโ€™t start today.โ€ ๐ŸŒ€ Liam Rosenior on pressure & proving himself ๐ŸŽฏ โ€œIโ€™ll be really honest โ€” all this talk about proof of whether Iโ€™m right for the job or not, I donโ€™t really care. Iโ€™m here to do the job. If we get to the final, itโ€™s great for Chelsea Football Club. Itโ€™s not about me. Iโ€™ll prove in time whether Iโ€™m worthy or not, but itโ€™s not at the forefront of my mind.โ€

Thereโ€™s one moment in the debate between Dave Smith and Douglas Murray on Joe Roganโ€™s podcast that I just have to pause onโ€”because it perfectly distills the heart of the matter. Theyโ€™re discussing the so-called โ€œblockadeโ€ on Gaza, which Dave claims has been in place since 2007. (Side note: Dave frames the disengagement as a move to kill the peace process. But what process was left to kill? The Palestinians had already walked away from it years before) Now, when someone whose entire understanding comes from Wikipedia and self-appointed expert podcastsโ€” someone whoโ€™s never actually seen the region with their own eyes or even come close enough to talk to people who live thereโ€” hears the word โ€œblockade,โ€ they imagine some medieval-style siege. A small city, completely cut off, with people rotting in sewage, starving, and dying of disease. Itโ€™s the kind of imagery that gave rise to the entire mythology of Gaza as an โ€œopen-air prison,โ€ and eventually even the obscene comparisons to a โ€œconcentration camp.โ€ A modern-day blood libel. Of course, the side under this โ€œblockadeโ€ actively promotes that view through its propaganda. They know that people like Dave Smith will keep repeating it, building entire narratives and views around it, because it drives traffic and earns them platforms. And so, the false narrative continues to echo. Then comes Douglas Murray, and he asks the two questions Dave canโ€™t really answer: 1. Have you ever actually gone and seen the situation for yourself? Do you really understand what the word โ€œblockadeโ€ means in this context? 2. Why is there a blockade in the first place? (Because while Dave talks about the result, Douglas focuses on the cause.) To both questions, Dave essentially has no real answer. Douglas, of course, does. Thatโ€™s the difference between someone who knows something and someone who thinks they know enough to speak on it. Daveโ€™s best comeback? โ€œSo weโ€™re not allowed to talk about places we havenโ€™t been to?โ€ Of course you can talk. The question is: should anyone who talks automatically get a platform to broadcast their opinionsโ€”opinions based on cherry-picked quotes and zero formal education or firsthand experienceโ€”to millions around the world? So, for Dave Smithโ€”the ultimate useful idiot, always ready to embrace narratives designed to manipulate and weaponize himโ€”Iโ€™ll leave a thread in the comments. Itโ€™s one I wrote a while back, showing what Gaza could have been: the trade deals, the billions in international aid, the port and airport they could have hadโ€ฆ and what Hamas ultimately chose to do instead. Maybe then Dave will stop just quoting other people (which, to be fair, he does impressivelyโ€”his memory is sharp!) and start thinking for himself about what caused what. Itโ€™s easy to quote, harder to question. And almost impossible to admit you might have built your worldview on someone elseโ€™s script.

A young man sees someone drive by in a Ferrari with a blonde. He thinks: that guy has everything. Jordan Peterson says look closer. "The woman in the car is a prostitute with a cocaine addiction. Her life is one catastrophe after another." "He's had to lie and cheat his way into this position. He's afraid everything's going to come crashing down on him." "And that's what you're jealous of." He spent 15 minutes explaining what we're actually built for: "We view ourselves as built for pleasure. For consumption. For safety. For egotistical self-aggrandizement and fame." "What are we actually built for? Maximal challenge." "We're built to walk uphill. When you reach the pinnacle, you want to stop and appreciate the vision. But the next thing you want is a higher hill in the distance." "It's from the uphill climb that we derive our value." This is why young men disappear into video games. "That's all acted out in the video game. The active warrior moving uphill with sword in hand. That's dynamic. That's exciting." "They have to act that out in their own life. Video games are not a substitute for life." Start where you are. Even if it's embarrassing. "Humility is starting where you are. If your life is a mess, you have to see that you're the person in that mess." "Your first attempt to fix it might not be something you're particularly proud of." "I saw this in my clinical practice. The first steps people had to take were pretty embarrassing. They'd think: really? That's all I can do?" "Hey, man. Uphill is better than downhill." Here's what most people don't understand about momentum: "You accrue success exponentially. You accrue defeat exponentially too." "Start going downhill, you go downhill faster and faster. Start going uphill, you go uphill faster and faster." "Even if you have to start painfully small, it doesn't matter." Everyone wants confidence. But self-esteem is a lie. "Self-esteem doesn't even exist. It's a pathological concept altogether." "You want confidence that's based in competence. Otherwise it's narcissistic." "How do you develop that? You watch yourself exceed your limits." "And then you think: there's something in me that can exceed my limits. That's your true self." You want a goal you can never fully attain. "Almost all the positive emotion we feel, especially the emotion that fills us with enthusiasm, is experienced in relationship to a goal." "You want a horizon of ever-expanding possibility." "People stake their soul on attaining an instrumental goal. Then they get there and think: now what?" "The answer can't be: I'm going to live in the lap of luxury and never have to do anything." "What do you want to be? A giant infant with a gold bottle? You never have to do anything but lay on your back and suck." "No. You want to be an active warrior moving uphill with your sword in hand." Now here's the dark part: "You need to contemplate your own malevolence. Because you're not only who you are. You're who you could be. For better or worse." "I think it's easier to understand who you could be if you were better once you deeply understand who you could be if you were worse." "You think: I'm way deeper on the negative end than I thought. Much more closely aligned with the forces of hell than I presumed." "That's easy to swallow factually. Not so easy to swallow emotionally. It's a bitter pill." "I don't think you can contemplate the good without contemplating the evil first. It doesn't have the depth." "Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom." Many of his clients are too agreeable. They let everyone else win. "They're resentful and don't know how to stand up for themselves. They're very compassionate by nature. If you're negotiating with them, they'll let you win." "That's not good. You need to win too." "You cannot negotiate unless you can say no. And it causes conflict to say no." The solution sounds counterintuitive. "You have to develop your inner monster a little bit. And that makes you a better person, not a worse person." "It's weird. But that's just how it is." On privilege and how to pay for it: "Some cards are privilege. Maybe you're born intelligent. Symmetrical. Healthy. Into a culture where it's easier not to be deprived. Maybe your parents are rich." "All of that is unearned." "The way you pay for your privilege is with your virtue." "You expiate and atone by doing your best to live the best possible life you can manage. To speak the truth. To treat people with respect. To put your house in order." On envy: "Don't be so sure your position in your room is so damn trivial. It might be your attitude towards it that's trivial." "If you're in dire circumstances, look at how much opportunity you have to make things better." "You don't even want it to be easy."

Here we go. Time for a gaming experience unlike anything else out there. This Sunday we're launching Dremica Carnage at 2pm UTC. Every week, players join for a 2 hour session where the entire community comes together to farm on-chain resources that are used for crafting to empower your character and help you farm more. You own your resources, you can do whatever you want with them on-chain. You can craft sick gear to flex or dump them on the market, you're in control. Getting the resources (RSS) is the hard part. Some can be farmed in the safe zones, but the higher tier stuff comes from the wild where free-for-all PVP is enabled. It's savage, ruthless, pure degeneracy as you can be killed and have all your stuff taken helping to fuel the adrenaline. But you can also go on a rampage and take everyone's lunch money at the same time. At launch there's 3 tiers of resources: Tier 1 - (elm wood, stone, organic matter) Found in the safe zones and the wild Tier 2 - (ashen wood, iron, chitin) Found almost exclusively in the wild Tier 3 - (moonstones) Only found spawning in the wild Dremica looks and feels like an MMORPG but it's different in that it's limited to 2 hours per week for farming on-chain RSS. Most gamers in crypto simply don't have the time to play 247. It's hard to get all the community together to play at the same times. But importantly the on-chain game economy needs to be preserved by reducing the impact of botting. We've tested different things over the years but this is what works for our community. The thing that excites me the most is that even us involved with building Dremica don't know how the META will evolve. It's going to be interesting witness players theory crafting which armour sets work best, which playstyles too. You'll probably notice the new male characters in the trailer too, we're calling them "Basic Barry's". A spin off of the old ticket gang jokes when people get their brothers and cousins playing on their lended assets (if you've borrowed an EXO on the portal). At the end of each session you'll be able to spend $SAMA to "soulbound" items and have them persist into the next session. Also be able to spend $SAMA on buffs to enhance your characters power. The only way to make web3 games "work" is to add utility sinks to make their core utility tokens deflationary. A lot of games tout their "flywheel" mechanics, but these things only work if they're really enforced in the game itself. We're calling the first season of Carnage "Season Zero". There WILL be balance changes and volatility and a lot of updates will happen along the way. So "expect chaos" blah blah, we have to test everything with the player base. If it all goes well, we have so much additional content lined up from the past 2 years of building to keep things fresh and exciting. Love me or hate me, my goal all along has been to create a unique gaming experience for our community to enjoy. Something that can't be experienced anywhere else. I've put in considerable effort/money/resources/blood/sweat/tears these past years and never sold any ecosystem assets. I just want to deliver for our community unlike the rest of the parasites in web3. We find out on Sunday if this is going to be any fun. Thank you to everyone who has helped us get to this big milestone. See you Sunday 2pm in the wild.

The Clippers used to have a tradition during practice where players who airballed had to run a lap. This rule was established by Brian Shaw and applied to every player, regardless of their status. However, recently, Kawhi Leonard broke this rule and now, according to Paul George, no one has to run when they airball. In a recent episode of the Podcast P with Paul George, George and Terance Mann discussed this situation and found it hilarious. As a fan, I found this DISTURBING and it perfectly sums up the current state of the team. As a dedicated Clippers fan, I have noticed a lack of effort and passion on the court year after year. When I heard about this incident, it all clicked for me. This team will NEVER win a championship because they are led by someone who doesn't prioritize a winning culture. It's clear that Kawhi cannot lead us to a championship, and neither can PG. By disrespecting the coaches and refusing to run, Kawhi has set a precedent for the rest of the team to also disrespect their coaches. This behavior is reflected in their lackluster performance on the court, with the worst body language in the league and severe lack of fire and passion. Championship teams have strong practice habits and are led by players who not only push themselves, but also push their teammates to be better. In contrast, Popovich was known for being toughest on Tim Duncan, which motivated the rest of the team to also push themselves. Michael Jordan would press his teammates in practice, cussing them out, being physical with them, and create a harsh environment. Knowing that if they could survive him during practice then it would make the games easier. Kobe Bryant once took away his teammatesโ€™ Kobe brand shoes because he believed they didn't deserve to wear them after playing poorly. He would workout with his teammates so hard they often would black out. Unfortunately, Kawhi has created a culture of complacency and lack of accountability in the Clippers' locker room, which has translated onto the court. If the Clippers want to be a winning team, they need to establish good habits in practice and have players/coaches who push themselves and their teammates to be the best they can be. It's time for a change in the Clippers' culture if they want to have a chance at the championship. When we likely flame out early in the playoffs Steve Ballmer please clean house, us fans are tired of paying our hard earned money to watch guys play 50% and get blown out by mediocre teams. Then make podcasts laughing about goofing off in practice.
