Coal India Limited (CIL), in collaboration with the National Scheduled Tribe Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC), has launched a landmark initiative — ‘Empowering Tribal Students in Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS)’. The project is designed to provide holistic support to tribal youth by addressing their educational, technological, and social needs. CIL has committed: ✅ ₹10 crore for 68 EMRS across 5 states ✅ 1100+ computers and UPS systems to strengthen digital education ✅ 450 sanitary pad vending machines to empower Nari Shakti ✅ Career counselling and mentorship Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, the ministry remains committed to inclusive growth and social transformation of tribal students. SECL (Southeastern Coalfields Limited), under its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative, has provided skill training to over 2000 youth in its operational districts in MP & CG in collaboration with CIPET (Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology). This initiative has helped youth from coal mining regions enhance their employability, secure sustainable livelihoods, and build a brighter future. Aligned with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s Skill India vision, such efforts are empowering young Indians with industry-relevant skills and strengthening the foundation of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
