Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh: A land dispute in the Talna police station area turned violent when an ASI allegedly opened fire with his licensed 12-bore gun, taking the life of one young man and seriously injuring two others. The incident took place on August 16 in Biralkhedi village over a 30×30 ft plot. The accused ASI, identified in reports as Dilip Prajapati (also reported as Dilip Kumbhkar), was posted in Shujalpur. The incident took place on Monday afternoon. According to police, Sampat Sahu and Atul Kale had withdrawn ₹5 lakh from a branch of HDFC Bank in Nagpur and kept the cash in a bag on the dashboard of their Maruti van. Police said the accused, who arrived on a motorcycle, allegedly targeted the parked vehicle and fled with the cash within minutes.
