No dad should know the pain of burying a child. Tragically, I've been through this myself, on April 15, 2016, when I held my little boy's hand as he drew his final breaths. Ask them questions about what you’ve just instructed them (if there’s time). Embodying instructions is essential (if there’s time) “𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐲𝐬…𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞” Get them in a huddle…get them discussing what was good. Point out to them what was good. Give them evidence to go home with…and get them to give themselves evidence. Reinforce these tomorrow as expectations. #WATCH | Delhi: DMK MP P Wilson held a press conference regarding his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with representatives from Christian organisations, to discuss issues related to the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA). He says, "...We, the Joint Action Forum on Minorities, have been convening various meetings among ourselves throughout India since April... we decided to give a detailed representation to the Home Minister. We had given a representation to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister's office forwarded it to the Home Minister, and we were called by the Home Minister for a meeting today, and we all had a meeting with the Home Minister. We clearly spelt out the illegalities in the amendment bill. We pointed out clause by clause and also certain provisions in the existing Act which, according to us, are unnecessary. Even if a license is going to be cancelled, even if a registration is going to be cancelled, there was no necessity to take over the properties of these organizations, including their activities... this was also clearly explained to the Home Minister that these bodies have employed expert hands for running these organizations, institutions, hospitals, and by taking over it will clearly destroy the organizations, including the hospitals. We have also said that it is not good even for the people as well as for the majority for whom we are serving… We clearly explained the repercussions and how draconian it is, how it affects or violates the constitutional guarantees to the minorities, including to the extent of taking over the places of worship; also, we pointed out. The Home Minister spent about an hour discussing with us, and we had clearly explained to him with an open mind. He heard us, and he said that he'll look into this matter."

Today feels like watching history settle into its rightful place. The Bhagwan Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya now stands complete, crowned with the Dharma Dhwaj. That flag is not just fabric. The rising sun on it reminds us that Prabhu Shri Ram belongs to the royal Suryavansh, a line that upheld truth and duty. The sacred Om at the centre speaks of awareness, devotion and the unbroken connection between the devotee and the divine. The Kovidar tree symbol carries the promise of Ram Rajya, good governance and prosperity as described in our ancient texts. Every symbol on that flag tells the story of a civilisation that refused to forget its ideals. On this day my first instinct is to bow my head to those who carried this struggle on their shoulders. From Advani ji, Modi ji, the sadhus and sadhvis who set out on the Rath Yatra, to countless kar sevaks who slept on railway platforms, walked in the heat, faced lathis and bullets. Many of them never came back. We owe a special salute to those who were shot dead when Mulayam Singh ordered firing on Ram bhakts. Their blood is part of the foundation of this temple. My father was a swayamsevak and also an Arya Samaji, deeply committed to Hindutva in the purest sense of service and sacrifice. He gave months and years of his life to Dharma, organising, travelling, working day and night for a vision he was not sure he would see fulfilled. He kept that tapasya going till his last breath. Today I feel he is standing in Ayodhya with all of us. Anyone who grew up in the 90s and early 2000s will remember the conversations at home. We would say in simple words “When BJP comes, all this will change. Just once let BJP form a strong government and Ram Mandir will happen.” It sounded childish to some, but it was the only hope millions held on to. When I started campaigning myself, our discussions were always about Article 370, Ram Mandir and many other issues linked to justice for Hindus. Friends would laugh and taunt me. “Neither will BJP come to power nor will any of this happen,” they would say. As a young volunteer I once gathered the courage to ask Advani ji: “Sir, will we really be able to build the temple, looking at how Congress plays politics?” He replied with total confidence, with the voice of a man who had already seen the future in his mind. “No matter what happens, the temple will be built, and it will be built at that very spot.” Today those words echo in Ayodhya. We are fortunate to live in the time of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, Amit Shah as Home Minister and Yogi Adityanath ji in Uttar Pradesh. Along with the tireless efforts of countless unnamed workers, they turned a five hundred year old wound into a centre of pride. Until 2014 it felt like the story would never move forward. There were only court dates, politics, editorials and insults for believers. Today the chapter has finally turned. The birthplace of Shri Ram once again has a grand mandir, and above it the Dharma Dhwaj that announces to the world that Sanatan faith is alive, awake and standing tall. This is not only about architecture. It is about self respect. It is about telling every kar sevak who walked in the dust of Ayodhya, every swayamsevak who gave their youth, every father and mother who whispered “Mandir wahin banega” to their children, that their trust was not misplaced. I feel grateful to be alive to see this day. Grateful to my father’s generation for keeping the flame burning. Grateful to this nation for never letting the memory of Shri Ram’s birthplace fade. The second-most-famous liberal talk-show host in America — a man who has spent 30 years telling audiences how dumb Republicans are — just told Democrats that the issues do not matter, that voters pick based on 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘮𝘢, and that Donald Trump has all three while the Democratic Party has none of them. This is not a small admission. This is the entire 2024 post-mortem in a single sentence, delivered by a Democrat. Let me walk through what else he said, because it gets better — and worse, depending on which side of the aisle you sit on. Nearly half the Democratic base is telling pollsters, on the record, that its own leadership is too far left to win. When almost half your own voters want you to move toward your opponent’s position, you do not have a messaging problem. You have a 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 problem. 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐤: 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 Maher nominated Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania as the Democratic Party’s Trump. Not the populist-movement Trump. The 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘴-𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦-𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳-𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦, 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴-𝘯𝘰𝘵-𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥-𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮-𝘵𝘩𝘦-𝘕𝘎𝘖-𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘵 Trump. Here is Maher’s inventory of Fetterman’s heresies, each of which would have been a career-ender in the Democratic Party of 2020: 𝐎𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫: Fetterman says wanting a secure border is not 𝘹𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘣𝘪𝘤 or 𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘵. A sitting Democratic United States Senator publicly flew the Star of David in the faces of his own party’s base. 𝐎𝐧 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲: Fetterman says four words 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳, per Maher: “𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐤𝐞.” Translate that honestly. Maher just told his audience that the reason Republicans are nervous about 2028 is not a policy agenda. A sitting Democratic United States Senator publicly flew the Star of David in the faces of his own party’s base. Americans were not yearning for the agenda; they were yearning for a politician who would 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 about borders, crime, men in women’s sports, and elementary-school pronoun drills. Every Democratic post-mortem since November 2024 has blamed Latinos, blamed young men, blamed podcasts, blamed Elon Musk, blamed disinformation, blamed Russia again for some reason, blamed misogyny, blamed low-information voters, and blamed Joe Biden for staying in too long. Bill Maher — alone, on a Friday night, on a premium cable show — finally said the real answer. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐲. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐝. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐅𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧/𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧 Here is the problem with Maher’s prescription, and it is the same problem that has been cooking the Democratic Party for 15 years. The Democratic primary electorate — the activists, the donor class, the DSA wing, the 𝘚𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘥 caucus, the identity-studies faculty, the Planned Parenthood board, the teachers unions, the Working Families Party — will never nominate John Fetterman. They will not nominate anyone who waves an Israeli flag at his own base. They will not nominate anyone who says 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘬𝘦. They will not nominate anyone who agrees with Trump on the border. Maher knows this. Every Democrat in Washington knows this. The primary will eat any Fetterman-type candidate alive before the first snow falls in New Hampshire. 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐞-𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐲 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐝. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐮𝐥𝐬𝐢 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲. The Democratic Party does not actually want to win. It wants to be right about race, gender, and climate. Those are not the same goal, and for twenty years the party has been choosing the second one. 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐈𝐬 𝐃𝐮𝐞 I have disagreed with Bill Maher on plenty. I still do. But on this one, he is telling the truth at volume about his own side, on his own network, to his own audience, and he knows the next three weeks of his DMs will be brutal. That is 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐚 he said voters reward. He is modeling the trait he is asking his party to rediscover. The fact that the Democratic Party cannot find more than a handful of its elected officials willing to do the same is the entire diagnosis, all by itself. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐨. Harjinder Singh Dhami said that Gurdwara Sahibs are established all over the world today to promote the principle of Sarbat Da Bhala (welfare of all), blessed by Sri Guru Nanak Dev, the first Sikh Guru. He said that the Gurdwaras have always helped the distressed and the needy. Whenever there is a calamity in the country and abroad, Gurdwaras and Sikh bodies have always been at the forefront and served humanity without any discrimination. Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the hate statement about Gurudwara Sahibs during the rally is a conspiracy of BJP leaders to defeat the holy thought of Sri Guru Nanak Dev, which was done in the old times also. He said that now again this tendency is being deliberately propped up in the country. He said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev had brought the country and the society out of the narrow-mindedness and gave the message of Sarbat Da Bhala, but today the BJP leaders are again moving towards the same thinking. He said that the doors of Gurdwaras are always open to everyone and such a small-minded conspiracy of BJP leaders can never succeed. The SGPC President said that at the time of this BJP rally, the Chief Minister (CM) of Uttar Pradesh (UP) Shri Yogi Adityanath was also present on the stage, and it was his responsibility to oppose such hateful statement on the spot.
