Happy 4th Monthsary, Blushies! 🩵 Four months ago, we started with simple hopes, shared kilig, and a small community brought together by love and support. Today, we stand stronger, not just as a fandom, but as a family. Through every high and low, every challenge and celebration, Blushies became more than a name. You became our home, our safe space, and our sanctuary. As we face the Big Night tomorrow, we look back at how far we’ve come from the very first day inside the PBB House to the beautiful journey we celebrate today. No matter what happens next, these four months already became a story worth celebrating, and at the heart of it all are Eliza and Miguel, who continue to inspire us with their growth, dedication, and authenticity. Join Shujaa and Weka on their graduation! From the moment we rescue an orphan, we are preparing them for life back in the wild. Moving to a Reintegration Unit is a pivotal point in this journey, offering expanded horizons, increased independence, and the mentorship of wild elephants — under the care and guidance of their Keepers. On 6th August 2025, Nairobi Nursery rascals Weka and Shujaa took this big step, graduating to our Ithumba Reintegration Unit in Tsavo East National Park. Ukrainian kids are incredibly talented. I saw this story and wanted to share it with you. Our kids deserve lasting and just peace to be able to create and flourish. 14-year-old Oles Vorona from Lviv created a 6-minute English-language LEGO cartoon HUMAN.STUS about episodes from the life of Vasyl Stus, a Ukrainian poet and dissident. All the characters and scenery in it are made from LEGO pieces: Stus himself, prison cells, stained glass windows by artist Alla Horska, and the "Ukraine" cinema. Oles worked on the video for four months, creating over 4,000 frames. "Ukrainian creative intelligentsia were constantly persecuted and killed. Now history is repeating itself. But even in the most difficult conditions, Stus urged his family in his letters to remain kind. To everyone and everything. To be a candle in the darkness. And to be brave. Because the world needs brave and kind people. Like Stus," Oles wrote.

🏈 🔥 WATCH all the way through the end of this video to see spirited high school football players at South County High School exercise their civic duty to speak up for celebrated football coach Gerry Pannoni, who just lost his coaching job in a case of alleged retaliation in Fairfax County Public Schools. What’s more: FCPS allegedly shut down the South County football program and let go ALL of the coaches until a new coach is named and removed access to coach access to Hudl, a video platform, hurting students who are being recruited by colleges. In June 2024, I began reporting a local high school story for the Fairfax County Times Pearl Project with sports reporter G, and it became Virginia’s biggest youth sports scandal: controversial recruiting practices at Hayfield Secondary School in Fairfax County Virginia that led to a wider community reckoning on the issue of integrity in sports and calls for the resignation of fcpssupt Michelle Reid for her mishandling of the case. Today, at South County High School in Lorton, Va., about 300 football players, athletes and students streamed out of Door No. 1 at 2 PM to march on Laurel Crest Drive, shouting, “Reinstate Coach P.” Last year, Pannoni and other coaches raised red flags about alleged recruitment problems at Hayfield, and the school district official told coach Pannoni on Friday that he had lost his job. Parents and coaches say they are hearing that Reid is allegedly planning to retaliate against all the coaches for embarrassing her. FCPS denies the charge. FCPS sent a media relations officer to follow the march. He sat in the back of an FCPS security cruiser. FCPS Superintendent Reid investigated Pannoni for an audio tape with parents, indelicately describing the Hayfield recruiting as akin to “grooming.” We have learned that the principal had allegedly told Pannoni that students didn’t feel “safe”around the coach. The students I interviewed reveal a different story: speaking about Pannoni’s positive impact on their lives. “We love Coach Pannoni,” said many a student. This story speaks to wider issues about transparency, accountability, and integrity in both governance and school districts. Today, high school students spoke out when the issue touched their lives very personally, speaking up with clarity for a coach they respect. At the end, you will hear some students ask me who I am and I softly introduce myself with the Fairfax County Times. One calls us heroes for documenting this story and investigating its details. We are not heroes, but the story speaks to the heroic mission of local journalism in bringing truth to communities, from South County High School to beyond. A Journey of Grace, Resilience, and Miracles. Last week, as a family we came together to celebrate a very special milestone — the birthday of Gift Osinya born on 17th May 2001. Yesterday, we were once again filled with gratitude to celebrate the birthday of his younger brother our son Satrin Osinya born on 24th May,2012. Gift, now an accomplished young man, works as an IT expert at DTB and is set to graduate with a bachelor's degree at scots university in September. His journey has been nothing short of inspiring — a testament to perseverance and faith. Satrin’s life is a miracle. Eleven years ago, while he was 18 months old he survived a horrific terror attack at Joy Church in Likoni when the alshabab gunmen opened fire randomely at the worshipers killing Six people instantly, including Satrin's mother who was trying to shield her son from the bullets. Unfortunately the bullet that killed her exited and lodged in Satrin's head. His life had to be saved by being flown to Nairobi's Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) after doctors at the coast could not remove the bullet immedietely. By God’s grace, the bullet was successfully removed by a team of skilled doctors at KNH led by neurosurgeons Mwangi Gishuru and Peter Wanyoike Today Satrin has really grown to become a man. He's now a grade 7pupil at St. Mary's school. We wish him a happy birthday.

What I am about to tell you should be the most important story in America but no national media is talking about it. Read this entire tweet. One of the biggest invasions of property rights in American history is currently happening in South Dakota to expand green energy. This is footage that was shared with me by a South Dakota farmer named Jared Bossly, whose farm has been in his family for four generations. Bossly is one of over 80 SD landowners currently facing eminent domain lawsuits from a company called Summit Carbon Solutions who wants to seize their property and use it to build a carbon capture pipeline that will transport CO2 emissions from Iowa to North Dakota to be stored underground. The men in the video are surveyors from Summit. They entered his home and shop before going on his farm to survey the land all without permission while only his wife was home. They later falsely accused him of threatening to kill them (he talked to them for 6 seconds on speaker phone about how the sheriff should be there while they do it) and are taking him to court to get a restraining order so he can't be on his property when they come back. His hearing is tomorrow. Bossly tells me surveyors from the company have shown up to SD farms without permission, some with armed security guards like something straight out of Blazing Saddles, and have threatened the landowners who haven't agreed to give up their property. The Republican leadership in South Dakota has also abandoned them. In the last legislative session, bills to protect landowners from eminent domain from Summit failed. Gov. Kristi Norm has done nothing. Why? Because Summit has connections to massive GOP donors. They are also bankrolled by large investments, some of which are foreign, as well as benefit from massive federal tax credits for carbon capture expanded by Joe Biden's "Inflation Reduction Act." Meanwhile, South Dakotans whose farms have been in their families for generations, who have put their blood sweat and tears into their land, are now facing them being seized and ruined for the green energy grift. Two things happened today that made my heart full. First — I officially graduated as a DM in Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology from the prestigious Christian Medical College, Vellore. Second — I received the Dr. Debashish Danda Memorial Best Outgoing Student Medal. Two moments. One dream. A journey that began years ago in quiet classrooms and long, sleepless nights — and ended today in the glow of gratitude. I come from a family with no medical background. From Calicut Medical College, to TD Medical College, and finally to CMC Vellore — the path was long, uncertain, and often lonely. When I first decided to pursue rheumatology, it wasn’t a calculated choice — it was a feeling, a hunch that this was my cup of tea. I walked into this field thinking rheumatology would be more close to medicine — the one I loved and wanted to be with — even though I hadn’t seen many rheumatology patients before. But CMC taught me the truth. Every single day was a whirlwind of patients — in the OPD, in the wards, in casualty. Every disease I had once read about in Harrison’s now stood before me — not as lines in a textbook, but as human stories. I saw suffering and resilience, fear and hope, silence and strength — all living together in the same faces. And when a patient smiled again after months of pain, that smile carried more meaning than any medal or title ever could. Our HOD once told us something I’ll never forget: “In rheumatology, care is like aiming with a bow — the farther you pull back, the farther your arrow of compassion and understanding will go.” He meant that true care is not just about prescribing drugs — it’s about listening, counselling, educating, and walking alongside the patient for years, sometimes decades. That lesson became my compass. When I received the Dr. Debashish Danda Memorial Medal, my thoughts went back to him — the man whose vision shaped Indian rheumatology. I remember his farewell day, his warmth, his words, the way he introduced us (students) to other outside faculty. It still feels unreal that he’s gone. But his spirit — of excellence, humility, and deep humanism — will always guide us. Today, I stand on the other side of that long road — grateful beyond words. The Miscarriage of Justice Against the Phagan Family and Little Mary Phagan: Atlanta, Georgia, Four Decades Ago to the Present Year (1986-2026) By Mary Phagan-Kean (Mary Phagan-Kean) Struggle of My Life and Mission of Phagan Family For nearly six decades (1967 - 2026) and with the help of my family, I have pored over the Leo Frank trial transcripts and appellate records documented from 1913 to 1915, thousands of pages in all (they are being transcribed and published on one of my websites called the Mary Phagan-Kean Legacy Project When one adds to the legal records of the case, the contemporary newspaper coverage of day-to-day events from April-1913 to August-1915, the total archive expands well beyond ten thousand pages, drawn from papers across the nation. I am publishing those news articles online, and so far we have 1900 clippings and plan on expanding it by 600 to 1000 more. Every transcript will eventually be accompanied with an audiobook and narrated video. 43 Years Ago (1983 - 2026) In 1983, forty-three years ago as of this writing, the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles rejected a petition filed by several Jewish activist organizations seeking the full exoneration of Leo Frank, the former president of the Atlanta B’nai B’rith lodge (Gate City Lodge #144). At that time, Frank had been convicted in Fulton County, some seventy years earlier, in August 1913, of the strangulation murder of a thirteen-year-old girl, Mary Anne Phagan (June 1, 1899 - April 26, 1913). Today we are still seeking justice for her! The evidence offered in support of the petition consisted of two late-in-life affidavits from Alonzo McClendon Mann (August 8, 1898 - March 18, 1985), an eighty-five-year-old man who, as a fourteen-year-old office boy in 1913, had worked for Frank at the National Pencil Company in downtown Atlanta. In those 1982 (March and November) affidavits, Mann claimed he had seen the 27-year-old, Negro factory janitor, James "Jim" Conley, carrying the unconscious or dead body of little Mary Phagan, in the lobby, moving toward the basement. The Board, after considerable examination of the official documentation and evidence of the Leo Frank case, found the newfangled statements unpersuasive and inconclusive. Trial testimony had already established that Conley himself admitted helping Frank move the victim’s body from the second floor to the basement. The affidavits changed nothing and were likely suborned perjury. I will publish Mann's two affidavits in full on their anniversaries this year in March and again in November. The Jewish Pressure Group Siege of 1982 - 1986 Frustrated by the Board’s controversial decision, Jewish advocacy leaders mounted an intensive, four-year lobbying effort behind closed doors. The Phagan family, press, and community at large was left out of these backroom meetings. In March 1986 (4 decades ago this year and next month) they finally obtained a posthumous pardon for Leo Frank. That pardon, however, was carefully worded: it restored only certain civil rights to the homicidal pedophile, such as the right to vote, to hold office, or to own a firearm. It did not vacate the murder conviction, nor did it declare Frank innocent. Community Outrage on All Sides Since these restored civil rights had been granted to a convicted sex killer 71 years after his death, the Jewish community of Georgia was incensed and in a state of outrage, because it did not overturn the jury's verdict. Many members of the Jewish community regarded it as a dubious pardon for these reasons. Some long-established Georgia Jews who had lived through the 1913 trial, viewed it as the ultimate insult and a slap to the face: the state was purportedly restoring voting rights to a dead man, who, as a practical matter, could not legally register to vote at all. Some Jewish community members interpreted the pardon of Leo Frank, as the government telling them to "shut up and go away, already!" Some Gentile members of the community who had worked as child laborers in the early 20th century when the crime occurred, were in a state of total disbelief at the injustice-that a homicidal pedophile had been given a half-baked pardon. The Phagan family regarded the event as a miscarriage of justice, because they were precluded from being allowed to voice their concerns during the pardon tribunal's hearings. The opaque pardon hearings were quasi-illegal because they had been held in clandestine secrecy exclusively with Jewish advocacy organizations and did not allow the chance for attorney's from the Phagan family to represent their opposition. Leo Frank's Falsified Vindication (1986 - 2026) Yet for the past forty years the pardon has been routinely presented by many in the Jewish community as proof of exoneration. The distinction is crucial. Under Georgia law, Leo Frank remains a convicted murderer. Now the Jewish community is working behind the scenes again in 2026 to get Leo Frank's verdict of guilt overturned. Marietta Rabbi Steven Lebow, Former Governor Roy Barnes, and Jewish community leader are working with Atlanta District Attorney Fanni Willis (pronounced fawnie) to unconstitutionally declare him innocent.
