Ethical codes such as the Society of Professional Journalists’ mandate to “seek truth and report it” and the EU’s AI Act requiring disclosure of synthetic media are not optional guidelines, they are safeguards against manipulation. The dangers of undisclosed AI voice modification are profound and cannot be minimized. Accuracy is immediately compromised when tone, emphasis, or even subtle inflections are artificially altered, leaving audiences uncertain about what was truly said. Transparency vanishes the moment listeners cannot distinguish authentic speech from synthetic reconstruction, stripping the interview of its credibility. Most damaging of all, trust erodes, particularly in politically sensitive regions where fears of propaganda already run high, as citizens begin to suspect manipulation rather than genuine communication. I feel that there has been a failure in all three counts. The executive has no role as far as the functioning of judges is concerned. When you are dealing with a sitting judge, no matter what your perception of the judge may be, that is part of the judicial realm. As long as there is no want of judicial integrity or honesty, or any breach of propriety by the judge concerned, it is beyond the executive to interfere... What has been released by the court suggests that Justice Sreedharan's transfer was shifted from Chhattisgarh to Allahabad due to the executive's interference. If something is prompted by the executive and a decision is subsequently re-engineered by the court, the entire process is compromised. That is not how it is supposed to work... Transparency has to fuel belief, not extinguish it, in the efficacy of the process..."

It is proof of, despite our ethnic proximity and shared Christian faith, just how difficult it is for tribes to live in peace. It was hard enough with the native populations of the British Isles. It is impossible to have a cohesive society with all the foreign colonies we have imported into our midst. We are not at the start of this experiment. We are in the middle of it, and it is going horribly. It has to end.

The diktat from the Bangla Birodhi Zamindars that MPs cannot say ‘Jai Hind’ or even ‘Vande Mataram’ in Parliament is an attack on the very soul of our democracy. ‘Vande Mataram’ is our national song. ‘Jai Hind’ is the slogan of every Indian. These are not empty words; they were the cries of those who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. To try and erase them is to try and erase our history. Is this what they mean by governance, silencing the voice of a state that has always stood for democracy, secularism, and the unity in diversity of our country? Bengal is not outside India. It is not a footnote to be ignored. It is an integral, proud part of this nation. And let it be clear: we will not let anyone erase our identity, our history, or our rightful voice in Parliament. These are not empty words; they were the cries of those who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. To try and erase them is to try and erase our history. Is this what they mean by governance, silencing the voice of a state that has always stood for democracy, secularism, and the unity in diversity of our country? Bengal is not outside India. It is not a footnote to be ignored. It is an integral, proud part of this nation. And let it be clear: we will not let anyone erase our identity, our history, or our rightful voice in Parliament. It's a trademark characteristic of the independent thinker who doesn't just march in line. We avoid groupthink and hive mind obedience. It's what brought all of us together in the first place. Yet somehow, if you dare to criticize or voice matters of importance, the cheerleaders will swoop in the suggest you side with the opposition. Not throating the official talking points is a sign of opposition instead of what it really is: an opportunity to reinforce the intention of your decisions to your most active defenders. Clarity and transparency breeds trust, and those who are most critical are not looking to oppose just for the sake of it, they are looking for backup to validate their ongoing support. Since 1980, Zimbabwe has had many Presidential Advisors some brilliant, others forgettable. But never before have we witnessed the kind of political absurdity now associated with Paul Tungwarara.Dunderhead Tungwarara is, by far, the worst and most useless Presidential Advisor in Zimbabwe’s post-independence history. What kind of madness is this an advisor to the President gallivanting across the country, dishing out cars, cash, and promises like a rogue philanthropist on a campaign trail? Is this what the Office of the President has been reduced to? A glorified ATM for political adventurists? Have you ever seen President Hakainde Hichilema’s advisors handing out vehicles in Kanyama? Have you ever seen President Cyril Ramaphosa’s advisors doling out millions of rands in Soweto? Of course not. Because in functioning democracies, Presidential Advisors advise they do not moonlight as political financiers or shadow commissars. Tungwarara’s antics are not just a personal embarrassment they are a national disgrace. They expose the rot at the heart of our political culture, where access to power is mistaken for a license to flaunt wealth, and where public service is confused with personal spectacle. This is not philanthropy. It is patronage politics at its most vulgar. It is the weaponisation of poverty for political gain. It is the recycling of the same toxic formula that has kept our youth dependent, our institutions hollow, and our democracy in a permanent state of infancy. And where is the accountability? Who audits these handouts? What is the source of these funds? What policy framework authorises a Presidential Advisor to act as a parallel government, complete with a convoy, a budget, and a messianic complex?The role of a Presidential Advisor is not to buy loyalty. It is to offer counsel to help the President navigate complex policy terrain, to provide strategic insight, and to uphold the dignity of the highest office in the land. Tungwarara has done none of this. Instead, he has turned the advisory role into a travelling circus of self-promotion and political distortion. If the Office of the President is to retain any shred of credibility, it must immediately distance itself from this charade. Zimbabwe is not a playground for political showmen. It is a nation in crisis, in need of sober minds, not shallow pockets.We must demand better. We must expect more. And we must say, without fear or favour enough is enough.

One reason I stay a bit quite about AI these few months. I can’t find my voice to say this right. I’ll try. — What has my AI found just in the millions of never saved TV from the 1980s-1990s? The simple commercial, I have the largest collection known in the world is a reflection of hyper nuanced humanity. Frail and over optimistic as it is, it shows the sprit of humanity in ways that self-hating 2010 Internet sewage training AI can not. It is interesting to have dark humor, when you know the soul of the person with the humor. It is not interesting to have dark humor from an AI that was not trained on the human spirit. The human sprit is not math, coding and science. This is the OUTCOME of a human sprit. We are training AI backwards and we just can’t see it yet, but we will. I am doing may best as “some posted on X” who has no currency in the “big boy” AI world to save the human sprit. We will need it one day and most of this training material is being erased, trillions of bytes daily. This is the secret to truthful AI. This is the secret to AI that LOVES humanity. We don’t get this right soon, there will be little chance. The data is… Almost gone.

I feel strongly about this: journalists have an ethical responsibility to call these election lies what they are. We just stop hiding behind the euphemistic “without proof.” Or democracy is fragile and under assault. Patrician journalistic niceties serve no one is a moment of crisis, not even journalism. We are called to reveal and convey truth. It starts with every interaction. It starts in the moment. It starts to their faces. It feels good to be free to do what I think is right.
