𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻, 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 Today, a press conference was scheduled to be held at the Quetta Press Club by the families of the detained BYC leaders to protest their illegal detention and the High Court’s judgment of February 23 regarding the bail application, which... had been reserved for three months. In its decision, the judge refused bail and ordered that the trial proceed before the same judge, in whom we have no trust. The Press Club authorities did not grant permission to hold the press conference inside the hall. After many attempts to secure permission failed, the families held their press conference outside the building. Even there, the police attempted to disrupt the event by pushing reporters and journalists away to prevent media coverage. Despite these obstacles and police interference, the families remained steadfast and continued their press conference outside the Press Club. This reflects a situation similar to undeclared martial law in Pakistan, where even families are not allowed to hold a peaceful press conference. International human rights organizations must take notice of these actions and hold Pakistan accountable for these serious violations of fundamental civil and human rights. This is a message to the state authorities: such suppression cannot stop the Baloch nation from standing against injustice.show more
