Passing Out Parade of Fifth Batch of Agniveers Held at Army Air Defence Centre, Gopalpur Gopalpur, 5 June 2025: The Army Air Defence Centre, Gopalpur, witnessed a proud and momentous occasion as the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the fifth batch of Agniveers was held on 5th June 2025. The parade was reviewed by Brigadier Hemant Singh, Commandant of the Army Air Defence Centre, who congratulated the 401 Agniveers on successfully completing their rigorous training and taking their ‘Antim Pag’ (final step) towards joining the ranks of the Indian Army. The event was marked by an impressive drill display, which was a testament to the high standards of discipline and training imparted at the Centre. Brigadier Hemant Singh, in his address, highlighted that drill is the bedrock of military discipline. He emphasized that excellent drill not only reflects the physical and mental coordination of the soldiers but also showcases the unwavering discipline and unity among the Agniveers. “A soldier’s discipline is forged on the drill square. The precision and synchronization displayed today are a reflection of your commitment and the high standards set by the Army Air Defence Centre,” he remarked. A special highlight of the ceremony was the presence of the proud parents of the Agniveers, who were invited to witness this significant milestone in their wards’ lives. In recognition of their support and sacrifice, the parents were presented with the ‘Gourav Padak,’ a token of honour and gratitude from the Army. During his address, Brigadier Hemant Singh exhorted the Agniveers to continue to excel in all walks of life, both within and outside the Army. 5th AGNIVEER COURSE PASSED OUT FROM DOGRA REGIMENTAL CENTRE The Dogra Regimental Centre conducted the Passing Out Parade and Attestation Ceremony for 5th Agniveer Course on 4th June 2025 at the historic Jamedar Lala Parade Ground. A total of 402 Agniveers passed out and attested to be sworn in as part of the Indian Army. The Agniveers underwent rigorous training of 31 weeks from 01 Nov 2024 till 04 Jun 2025, which included tactical and physical training, drill, weapon handling, field/ battle craft and endurance turning them into professional soldiers. The team building and Esprit-de-Corps was engrained through various sports and professional competitions during the training. A highlight of the training was a weeklong training camp, conducted under realistic field conditions. The camp puts Agniveers into various tactical exercises and situations, initially keeping them self-sustained for 72 hours in field conditions. It culminated in a gruelling 40 km 'Josh Run’, a true test of endurance, spirit, strength and willpower. The parade was reviewed by Major General Anupam Baghi, Additional Director General of Rashtriya Rifles along with Brigadier Jitendra Sharma, Commandant, The Dogra Regimental Centre in attendance of other officers, families, civil dignitaries and parents of Agniveers. The young Agniveers took the oath to serve the nation with pride and dedication, and to uphold the values of the Indian Army. The Dogra Regimental Centre has a rich history of producing brave and dedicated soldiers who have served the nation with distinction. The event was a proud moment for The Dogra Regimental Centre as it inducted the 5th batch of Agniveers into various battalions of the Dogra Regiment.
