🇮🇹 Lancia Delta S4 Matti Alamäki on a test day with his Lancia Delta S4 back in 1987. Alamäki purchased the former factory Lancia Delta S4 for the 1987 season. Notably, this specific chassis was the same car that Miki Biasion had driven in the 1985 Sanremo Rally. Alamäki used the car to great effect in the European Rallycross Championship (ERC), where he finished as the runner-up in the standings for the 1987 season (the title was won by Seppo Niittymäki in a Peugeot 205 T16). Legacy: The car became a legendary piece of motorsport history. After its competitive days, it was eventually acquired by Finnish rally icon Juha Kankkunen, who restored it to its original Group B rally configuration and the iconic "Martini" livery it wore during its time with Biasion. For over 390 years, its walls have been a living Gospel: 72 breathtaking frescoes telling every key moment of #Jesus life in color, detail, and devotion. Painted by Armenian masters and presented in two sacred horizontal tiers, this is biblical storytelling in its most magnificent form. While the walls narrate the Gospel, a gleaming gilded dome crowns the structure with splendor. Meanwhile, Armenian inscriptions-dating to 1627 and 1711-line the interior, permanently honoring the faithful whose donations brought this vision to life. One such inscription, set into the southern entrance, commemorates the patronage of Khaje Petros: "Pray for Khaje Petros, a good man before God. He built the Holy Bethlehem Church of New Julfa by his own personal expenditure for the immortality of his name and his father's name (Vali Jan) and his mother's name (Shoushan) and his family's name in 1077 (in the Armenian calendar which is 1627 in the Gregorian calendar)." A second inscription, crafted on a floral lapis lazuli tile above the western entrance, records that the Church was renovated in 1897 by several wealthy Armenians.

Mukono North MP-elect Abdallah Kiwanuka has stormed Mukono District tally centre after learning that a group of NRM Party youths were allegedly tampering with ballot boxes. Despite a power blackout in the area, Mr Kiwanuka has vowed to sleep at the tally centre. The suspects are said to have fled when police arrived. Mr Kiwanuka is concerned about tampering and a possible recount plot by his NRM Party rival, Ronald Kibuule's camp. "They are using the EC of Mukono to add more ticked ballots in the box so that they can claim for a recount in the courts of law. That's what is happening here at EC now," one of the electoral commission officials at the tally centre told this publication. Mr Kiwanuka of the National Unity Platform (NUP) was declared winner of the January 15, 2026 parliamentary polls with 15,017 votes, defeating former State Minister for Water, Ronald Kibuule, who polled 11,176 votes according to the district returning officer Emily Amongin. This marked Kibuule's second consecutive loss to Mr Kiwanuka. These robots incorporate mycelium, the root system of fungi, which senses and communicates through electrical signals. The team built two versions: one with wheels and another spider-shaped with soft legs. Both versions respond to light and other stimuli, with the mycelium sending signals to the robot's actuators to initiate movement. 🚨 7.3 magnitude earthquake rattles Alaskan island, prompting tsunami warning The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the earthquake off Sand Point, Popof Island, which is located in the center of the Alaska Peninsula, at just after 12:30 p.m. local time. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued a tsunami warningfor the majority of the Alaska Peninsula, spanning up into the southern-most part of Alaska's mainland toward Anchorage. A major earthquake, capable of causing "serious damage," is considered having a magnitude between 7.0-7.9, according to Michigan Technological University. Only about 10-15 earthquakes of this caliber are reported each year 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck near Sand Point, Aleutians East, Alaska, USA. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, at 9:37 am local time, at a moderately shallow depth of 22 miles below the surface. The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
