The bridge was inaugurated on 16 November 2023 and opened to traffic by Mr Samdup Lepcha, Honourable Minister of Roads and Bridges Department, Government of Sikkim in presence of officials of Indian Army, BRO, local administration and the resilient people of Sikkim . These include 28 Roads, 93 Bridges & 04 Strategic Projects across 7 States—Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, West Bengal, Mizoram, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and 2 Union Territories—Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
