Wales Online reported a court heard the teenage driver, 18 at the time, was moving through the car park at “excessive speed” when the now 21-year-old man was mowed down, suffering multiple fractures. According to the criminal complaint, Reel admitted to grabbing her purse and pulling her back when she tried to leave. The complaint says Reel admitted to knowing that she was reported missing and police were searching for her. Both the girl and Reel told police there was sexual contact. Reel is a convicted felon who previously confessed to sexually abusing an 11-year-old boy in 2021. He faced life in prison. But Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano's office offered Reel a plea deal that allowed him to walk free with time served.
