We never see in scripture Jesus calling Mary “mother”. He never called her mother, but woman. So why should we call Mary something Jesus did not? According to Jewish Custom it was the expectation of the firstborn to care for the welfare of his widowed mother. Jesus chose to leave the welfare of his widowed mother to John, who was a believer and was present, rather than entrusting her to His half brothers, who were not believers at the time and who were not even present at His crucifixion. There is no contextual proof within Scripture itself that would point to Jesus broadening Mary’s role as “mother” of all Christians. Words have meaning and it is defined by the context. You should understand the overall context before you create meaning and doctrine.

The truth is, this world has always belonged to the devil. That’s the biggest mistake we’ve made, pretending otherwise. We’ve lived in denial for millennia, but Scripture makes it clear: when the devil tempted Jesus in the desert, he offered Him the kingdoms of this world, he could only offer what was his to give. And notice how Jesus did not correct him, He did not say, “These kingdoms are not yours.” because Jesus knew who owned the world. The devil’s greatest trick is not convincing you to follow him, but erasing God so completely that you never notice whose kingdom you are in. Remember, the kingdom of God is within us, not outside of us. We need to get past the cognitive dissonance of not wanting to accept this truth, for only when we see it clearly can we stand a chance of fighting evil. The way out is not through the mundane spectacle of politics, the only way out is spiritually. But when Seyi Makinde said the President was wasting time with memoranda and should not play politics with it like he did with Amotekun. APC people said he was saying the state police was waste of time and he is saying he needs Lagos Amotekun to secure his state. The President was sending out a memoranda when all they needed was to fast track the process at the National Assembly.
