We’re not in the same class as the team we played tonight and several other teams in the league. There’s no point in denying that. We have to embrace it, be realistic, and give ourselves a shot. We can give ourselves a shot like we did a year ago by connecting and staying healthy and getting on a run. We’re still good enough to do that. If you do that and you have a shot, you get to the playoffs, you never know what’s going to happen. I think that’s where we are right now so we’ve got to keep fighting.”

Back in April 2024, Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé said there was “no guarantee” Sacramento would land an expansion franchise simply by hosting the A’s at Sutter Health Park for three seasons. “You know, we have to show what we can do.” Ranadivé also laid out his long-term vision for the region: “In the long term, I’d like this to be a place with a permanent MLB team and other teams.”

The wealth of a people is the source of their pride as people who work and produce. A government must provide the infrastructure to build industry, markets and good prices for meat and milk. Registering as a voter gives you the opportunity to elect that kind of government. A government that will be sensitive. A government of #Ukatiba and #Utu #UkatibaNdioTiba

Later this evening the Government will announce plans to utilise the full capacity at Wethersfield, increasing numbers from the current 766 to 1,245, the current maximum ‘surge capacity’ because of the closure of 20 more asylum hotels. “I have a simple message for the Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood – Enough is enough. We are not a dumping ground for the result of a failing asylum system. “Closing hotels is one thing but shifting the impact onto Essex communities is unacceptable and this is what will result from this increase. “Those impacts are felt by people in towns and cities miles from Wethersfield itself – in Braintree, Colchester, and Chelmsford – because that is where the men living at Wethersfield are bussed to and from every week. “As a consequence, our police are having to deal with incidents of illegal migrants with nothing to do with their time but hang around town centres and get into trouble, committing numerous crimes, behaving anti-socially and harassing people including women and girls. This stretches police resources as well as our own public health and mental health capacity. “Essex County Council has said from the very beginning that the location of Wethersfield – in a rural heartland 11 miles from the nearest town – is completely wrong for a facility of this nature. “I will be seeking an urgent meeting with the Government, and local partners including our Police, Crime and Fire Commissioner to challenge this latest afront to our residents.” Cllr Peter Harris, Leader of Essex County Council.

Today, in line with the second pillar of the More Agenda, which is Opportunities for All, I presented 60- 2025 model of Toyota Landcruiser Prado Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and 5 Toyota Landcruiser SUV to our revered traditional rulers at Government House, Asaba. The gesture is to enable them carry out their functions with greater ease and convenience, bearing in mind that most of them operate in very rural and rugged terrain. It is also a demonstration of appreciation by our administration for their role in ensuring peace and stability in their kingdoms and by extension the state and the country. As a government, we are pleased with the support and cooperation of the traditional rulers in Delta State, reason being that, the peace we largely enjoy in this state is because of their cooperation and collaboration with the government and security agencies. At the ceremony, I thanked the Royal Fathers for their continuous prayers and support.

Absolutely Despicable… North Carolina Governor Josh Stein sends his sympathies for a poor little illegal alien “orphan” woman picked up to be deported… The United States simply cannot be the baby daddy for all of the world’s orphans. She’s been in the U.S. for a decade, somehow graduated high school without speaking a lick of English… and somehow bought a home. For every illegal alien in the US, that is one more house taken away from native born Americans, one more resource, and one more body thrown on top of an already overburdened system designed to help vulnerable Americans.
