It’s been a great day of progress for Lady given where she started… First the bad stuff… 🚑 Vet visit found she has 2 types of blood parasites with a third starting. 🩸 She has serious anemia 🦴 Her hip was broken in an injury some time ago and not treated Now the good stuff… ✅ Lady has full feeling throughout body including tail. It’s nothing spinal 🐜 She is now totally flea and tick free 🧼 She got her 2nd bath and the water is running clear. She smells great ✂️ We finished her grooming. I made a small mistake on her head with a buzz cut but she forgave me. 🥱 Lady is eating, sleeping, drinking and doing toilets great. 💊 She has started a full course of medicines to build up her strength. I don’t have more answers than that right now. All I can do is work through some steps to make her better with treatment. The improvement in 30 hours has been superb. Lady is about 10-11 years old and had been in agony for months if not longer. We’ll take it one day at a time and hope tomorrow is as good for her as today was. Lady is the best girl ever. She deserves it all 🥰🙏

It is with great sadness that the time has come for me to hang up my playing boots. From my first days at Barca, Arsenal, Barca again, Chelsea, Monaco and Como, I will treasure them all. From lifting the World Cup, the Euros, to winning everything in England and Spain and nearly all the European trophies, it has been a journey that I’ll never forget. All those who have helped me, my teammates, coaches, directors, presidents, owners, fans and my agent. Sayonara 2024!! I know I’m a little late buttt… man, that one really flew by! I did a lot last year that I’m proud of. I released 4 songs independently that I love (Tripped, Raw, HTWWY & Down🥰), I filmed 3 music videos (2 of my own, the other with Remi Wolf who is a queen), I was on the cover of Marie Claire’s music issue (say whaaaat?! 🎵♥️), I got to sing Big Girls Don’t Cry on the Kelly Clarkson show 🥹 (honored) , I made new friends, I traveled ! I went to the Cannes film festival for the first time which has always been a dream of mine. I went to PFW for the first time!! (Unreal experience 😍) I dressed up,I dressed down. I spent time with my amazing fam. I wrote more music which I can’t wait to share with you all. I had a brand new movie come out (Depravity🩸) and gave a performance I’m proud of. I laughed, I cried. I loved,I lost. I danced more than ever. I sang my heart out. I stepped out of my comfort zone. I met a lot of really amazing people & had some incredible experiences. And most importantly, I ate A LOT of really good food. ✨ And above all else my friends, I TRIED. I didn’t always live up to my own expectations & things didn’t always work out the way I wanted to. Last night Dr David Unwin was on mainstream news talking about the benefits of reducing carbs for those living with diabetes. The results he gets are amazing. I know it can be replicated by others because I copy what he does in my own clinical practice using David Oliver, Freshwell resources (which are free btw). As a result, in 2024 forty of my patients achieved remission too. The news report featured an endocrinologist Shivani Misra who, at the 4mins 27s timestamp in the video, said: "If someone does a low carb with higher fat what does that mean for their cholesterol and their cardiovascular disease risk? We don't know the answer to this" I'm here to tell you this is a false statement. The research has been done. Let me show you: In 2020 a meta analysis looking at the effects of low carb on CVD risk found: "For total cholesterol there was no significant change in the data corresponding to low-carbohydrate diets lasting 12–23 months and over 24 months" With regards LDL the meta analysis says: "For plasma LDL, as the forest map shows, that there was no significant difference between the low-carbohydrate diet group and the control group at 6–11 months, 12–23 months, and 24 months" All other factors improved (blood pressure, triglycerides, etc) The meta analysis concluded: "In conclusion, the overall effect of a low-carbohydrate diet on cardiovascular risk factors tended to be favorable at less than 6 months and 6–11 months, but after 2 years of a low-carbohydrate diet, there was no significant effect on cardiovascular risk factors" So short term: CVD risk factors are improved, long term, things don't get worse". This mirrors what I see in clinical practice and with myself having been low carb full time since the start of 2020 - all my CVD risk markers are in the normal range.
