Wike is talking rubbish. His gloating, rigging, showboating, & garrulousness wonโ€™t have saved the APC. Federal might failed in Osun. He would have been humiliated by the people of Osun State & Davidoโ€™s tweets. There was federal might in Osun at the lead-up to that election. Tinubu froze Osun LGA accounts & allowed Oyetolaโ€™s men to kill Adelekeโ€™s men. The EFCC froze Osun State bank accounts. The APC bought votes for 20,000 & 50,000 Naira. We saw Osun people say it live on cameras. They sang for the defeated Senate President & APC governors on their shameful exit from Osun. More than 22 APC governors & 57 lawmakers invaded Osun State with their thugs & police escorts. President Jonathan is right for admonishing them thoroughly in his tweet. Serving governors invading another state during elections is an aberration. We saw the illiterate Monday Okpebholo & his thugs try to intimidate Imole Adeleke, Davido, & the powerful people of Osun State. The truth remains that the APC used federal might in Osun, but the peopleโ€™s might was stronger. In the end, the peopleโ€™s might prevailed. Bola Ahmed Tinubu is vindictive & power drunk. Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke extending the olive branch to Asiwaju is out of respect, regionalism, & political considerations. To put it more mildly; to attract the so-called โ€œfederal projects,โ€ to get him off his back! There was no pact or prior agreement. There are winners & losers here. The biggest loser is Min. Gboyega Oyetola. That man failed as an exec. governor. He has failed as the Minister of Blue Economy & Marine Spirits. The presidential election will throw up its own peculiarities & persuasions. People lose a battle to win the war. For now, Osun people will live to fight another day. I am super proud of them. They have given us the much needed formula & we must make use of it

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ดROMANIAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE SIMION: I AM RUNNING TO RESTORE FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY Executive Vice-President of ECR Party and member of the Romanian parliament, George Simion: โ€œThe Romanian people have been robbed of their democracy. After the fraudulent cancellation of the elections in December 2024, we should have returned to normal and to a fair second round. But no, the coup d'รฉtat continued. Mario and all the followers on X, with the outrageous decision of the Central Electoral Bureau and the Constitutional Court against Cฤƒlin Georgescu, we know that no candidate is safe if he is sovereign, if he is a patriot, and if he is not part of the deep state. The system can and will try to remove anyone they fear. This is why I have decided today, at the request of Mr. Cฤƒlin Georgescu, to submit my candidacy for the presidential elections alongside another party leader, a smaller party, Ana Maria Gavrilฤƒ, to ensure that the sovereigntist movement is not silenced and we will have a representative on the voting ballot. If both of our candidacies are validated, the best positioned in the polls will continue the race. Time is short. We need every Romanian who lives inside the country to join us in the battle, and we also need the 6 million Romanians who are living abroad. We need each and every one of our international partners. We must go forward together for freedom, for liberty, for democracy, and until the end, as we promised. Romania, our country, belongs to the people, not to the system. My message to patriots across the world is to get involved. This is not about a man, but this man was voted by the Romanian people, Mr. Cฤƒlin Georgescu. This is about the principle. Be with us, be with the Romanian people, be with free elections, and support us. I, as the future president of Romania, will restore freedom and will restore the rights of Mr. Cฤƒlin Georgescu.โ€ Source: ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด George Simion ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฉ

Earlier today, I addressed a World Press Conference in my capacity as the Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council (TICC) on the disturbing rise in political violence in Osun State and the tragic killing of 14-year-old Ezekiel Olapade in Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government Area. With deep sorrow, I condemned the gruesome murder of the innocent teenager and demanded the immediate arrest and prosecution of Saheed Kareem, popularly known as "Tanfeani," and every individual connected with this heinous crime, following the public identification of the gang leader by the police. I warned that political violence is fast becoming a dangerous trend in Osun State, posing grave threats to peace, security, and democratic stability. I noted that the unfortunate incident in Ilobu is not isolated, but part of a disturbing pattern of violence that has claimed lives and endangered citizens in Ikire, Ilesa, Owode-Ede, Osogbo, and other parts of the state. I called on the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu TUNJI DISU, psc(+), NPM Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Police Force_CRU, to order a comprehensive investigation into all incidents of political violence and ensure that perpetrators, sponsors, and collaborators are brought to justice irrespective of their political affiliations or social status. I also expressed our lack of confidence in the leadership of the Osun State Police Command under Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Gottan, citing the recurring incidents of violence and the growing public perception of selective law enforcement. Consequently, I called for his immediate redeployment and a thorough investigation into the apparent operational failures under his watch. Furthermore, I appealed to the National Human Rights Commission, civil society organisations, election observers, diplomatic missions, and the international community to closely monitor developments in Osun State before the situation degenerates further. As supporters of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, and members of the Accord family, we remain committed to peace, democracy, and the rule of law. However, peace can only endure where justice prevails and accountability is guaranteed. Enough is enough. No society can prosper under the shadow of politically motivated killings. We demand justice for young Ezekiel Olapade and all victims of violence. Those responsible must be arrested and prosecuted, and every institution charged with protecting lives must rise to its constitutional duty. The people of Osun State deserve peace, security, and a democracy free from fear and bloodshed. #JusticeForEzekielOlapade #SayNoToPoliticalViolence #RedeployIbrahimGottanFromOsunState #PeaceForOsun #Imole2026 #ImoleCarryOnAccordingly

A few days ago, I walked into Gwagwa not as a politician, not as a party leader, but as a broken Nigerian. I went with Dcn. Ken Pela, Hon. Constance, Mallam Ibrahim Abdulkarim and other committed members of the ADC to visit the family of Musa Abubakar, a man whose only crime was courage. A man who stood firm in Gwagwa Ward and refused to allow the mutilation of election results. A man who believed that the vote of the people is sacred. Today, Musa is no more. As I stepped into that compound, I was not prepared for what met us. The cries of his wife. The trembling voice of his father. The uncontrollable grief of his brother. The confused, shattered eyes of the children, children who do not yet understand why their father will never walk through that door again. There are moments in life when words fail. Yes, that day was one of them. His brother could barely stand. His father, a man who should be preparing to rest, is now preparing to bury his son. His wife, widowed not by sickness, not by accident, but by violence. By thuggery. By a system that continues to reward impunity. Musa Abubakar did not carry a weapon. He carried conviction. He did not fight for himself. He fought for democracy. He fought for the integrity of our local council elections. And for that, he was beaten to death by thugs aligned with the APC. This is not politics. This is not rivalry. This is murder. When citizens begin to die for defending election results at the ward level, then we must admit that something is fundamentally broken in our democracy. As I held his fatherโ€™s hands, I could not offer excuses. As I looked at his wife, I could not offer promises that would bring Musa back. As I touched the head of his child, I felt the weight of a nation that has failed its own. But I made a silent vow. Musa Abubakar will not be reduced to a statistic. He will not be forgotten as โ€œcollateral damageโ€ of local council elections. He will not be buried in silence. His blood is a question to all of us. How many more must die for votes to count? How many more families must be shattered before we say enough? This is the tragic consequence of a system where power is pursued without conscience. Where elections are treated as warfare. Where thugs are empowered, and citizens are punished for integrity. To the family of Musa Abubakar: your pain is our pain. Your tears are our tears. Your loss is not yours alone to bear. And to those who think violence can silence the will of the people, hear this clearly: intimidation may wound us, it may grieve us, but it will not break our resolve. If anything, Musaโ€™s sacrifice strengthens our commitment to justice, to electoral integrity, and to a Nigeria where no man dies for defending the truth. May his soul rest in peace. May God comfort his wife, strengthen his father, console his brother, and protect his children. And may justice, real justice, not political statements, prevail. We owe him that.
