𝗤 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘆𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. My position size? Well, generally, I don't like—if I'm gonna long intraday, I can be heavy, I can have 50 to 100% of my account in a stock. I rarely do. The only thing it happened lately, past few years, is TSLA... when I was shorting TSLA, and I've been also 100% short TVIX intraday. But I always have stops in place, automatic stops. But overnight, my rules are generally, I use 10 to 20% of my account. I rarely do more than 20% of my account in any given stock or ETF. And that's what I did on TVIX. I had about 20% of it short, or maybe 25, over the weekend. Oh yeah, and of course it gapped up 50%, so that really— Yeah, I pyramid all the time. I always pyramid into winners. That's how you build size in something. You don't go 100% short TVIX or TSLA out of the blue. No, you start in and then as it starts working and you lower your stop, you add more. Qullamaggie shows Exit Strategy for Long Swings “What’s your exit strategy for such long swings? How do you decide this? Okay, that’s easy. Let’s take an example, ROKU. So I bought it here, on the opening range size. It gapped up on earnings, huge volume. All the things I’m looking for. You know, long range break had like a 6, 7-month range break had surprising good earnings. Great growth, etc. I sell some, maybe 15 to 20%. A quarter of my position, and then I trail it. Then I just start trailing it like the first close below this purple line. That’s the 10-day moving average. I sell maybe say a quarter or a third of what I still have left. The shares I have left after the ones I bought. Sold into strength, and then I sell another third or quarter when it hits the first close below the 20-day moving average, which is the yellow line. And then the next level is the red line, which is the 50-day, etc. So that’s how I scale out. So that’s what I use these moving averages for. I wait for them to be my stop pretty much. So I wait until the end of the day and I sell it. Then I also have a level. Let’s just take an example right here. I usually use the previous swing’s lows as my stop. Then I would get out at 79. Even though it turns up intraday and closes above this yellow line, I would have to stop. You know, you can get stopped out because you know. I can, so you know. Sometimes stocks, they go, they can go down, you know, 20%.50% in a day, even. You know mid and large cap names can do that sometimes. So, you know, if it hits my last resort stop, it is my last resort stop. I just sell it. If that was helpful, those are my sell rules, sell into strength and I trail the rest.”

But yeah, I went from about 43,000 to 100,000 in just three months, I think. Yeah, that was in a straight line. I went in a straight line to 135,000. So, I pretty much quadrupled my account. No, tripled my accounts in about three months back in early 2014. And then I shorted PLUG. And I kind of lost... That was my biggest loss back then. I think I lost like 35,000, 40,000. I'm gonna show you guys where I lost. That was my first big loss that I remember. I felt really shitty about it. I'm gonna move it. On this day here, or was... Yeah, on this day here, March 10, 2014. I think I lost about 30% of my account or 25% of my account shorting this thing. Then it crashed. I don't think I made many money that day. I don't think I had borrows or... There was something. But I do remember on this day here... These two days when it stopped bounce about 50% in two sessions. I made most of that big loss back. And after that, it was pretty much straight up again. As you can see on the chart, it's pretty much straight up. And the next big loss came back in October 2014 where I lost, I think I lost 50% of my money that day. Or close to. No, wait, I think it was... Anyway, I think it was 30 or 40% or something. I don't remember. Yeah, it's kind of hard to see. Yeah, up to 100k, 43k to 100k was pretty smooth. I'd like to tell you a quick story of how I learned a very valuable, and very painful lesson in 2008 I had a 💰 windfall This was during the great finance crisis, the Covid of that era. I had nothing better to do 🤷‍♂️ and to relieve that boredom and regain the thrill, I started trading stocks. I discovered a little co called intuitive surgical, I think I was on one of their very first demonstration of the potential of the da Vinci. It was before the company really took off, I think it was around early 2008, but whatever. I bought a ton of the stock and I mean a ton If I were to carry the stock certificates it would've been heavy. The stock went up a dollar or so, I scalped it and took a profit 💥 BOOM $$$ what did I do next? I saw some Chinese solar stocks buzzing and I decided to get a trade on them. I captured a small gain in intuive surgical and a huge loss on ‘China fun’ and the rest of the buzzy solar stocks. Intuitive surgical became the medical $tsla Lessons should be painful. I invested in tsla heavy from 2012, more in 2014 and so on and soaked up a lot of short selling stock and endless bad news. Ditto what was happening to my position in Facebook. I learned to endure Buy what you believe in, it’s like buying a house and seeing its exquisite potential. I'm sharing this for myself, you can have it if you want it. The future is coming faster than you think. It’s not a sci-fi story - cos you’ll be living it. It’s not a book you can put down. Lastly, to me and to you… Never, ever, short America

I usually risk around 0.5% on most of my trades. 0.2-0.7%, I rarely risk more than 1%. Sometimes I do, maybe a few times per week, if that. Depends on the market conditions, the past two weeks there’s been so many opps, and I’ve been pretty aggressive. I’ve had a lot of 1% type of trades where I risk 1% or even more. mingyu sharing his cardio routine 🐶 cardio? i hate it. as you all know, i extremely hate cardio and i think i'm bad at dieting 🐶 what i do for cardio is that i have to exercise in the morning when i'm dieting. i wake up in the morning and walk slowly for a long time on an empty stomach. not really like running when you're on a treadmill but kind of a jog then i do it for a long time - in a way that i can wake my body up and remove my puffiness, then i eat something healthy then work out. rather than exercising in a fast pace for 20 minutes, i like doing it slowly and for a long time but that's the hardest. you know what i mean right? 🐶 other forms of cardio that i do is the stairmaster or i just go for a run outside, but when i go for a run i just get way too excited... anyway doing it on an empty stomach in the morning is the best for me 🐶 also if you go on youtube– i'll upload it on my ig story soon, but there are tabata exercises there for abs or whole body. i wake up in the morning and do that alone! 20 minutes and you'll be sweating profusely!
