Many people screamed for โ€œevidenceโ€ when Gen Mkhwanazi warned that organised criminal networks had infiltrated parts of SAPS and were working to neutralise top cops fighting organised crime. At the #MadlangaCommission on Friday, Adv Mathew Chaskalson methodically stitched together a deeply disturbing picture.โš ๏ธ According to evidence presented: โ— Mogotsi fed Cat Matlala sensitive intelligence info, including property details, vehicle registration numbers and salary information linked to HR/recruitment processes under Crime Intelligence head, Lt Gen Dumisani Khumalo. โ— Chaskalson outlined multiple incidents where Mogotsi clearly targeted Gen Khumalo while simultaneously feeding Gen Mkhwanazi lies that Khumalo was plotting against Mkhwanazi, an apparent attempt to divide the two senior officers and disrupt operations from within SAPS. (he can be charged for this if Madlanga recommends so)... โ— Mogotsi helped Matlala open a case against the PKTT. โ— Mogotsi approached Minister Mchunu in attempts to influence and effect #arrests and #criminal charges. โ€ผ๏ธEnter Faidel Adams: so determined to nail Lt Gen Khumalo that he went shopping for complaints across three different police stations, including Westville prison, until he found some traction in an HR matter. So Chaskalson pointed out that Adams used Mogotsiโ€™s own co-handler to open the Soweto case, meaning it is the same network, same playbook! โ— Chaskalson said Adams and Mogotsi openly targeted both #Mkhwanazi and #Khumalo. โ— He said Mogotsi also tried to pressure Minister Mchunu to charge Gen Khumalo in matters unrelated to him. (A matter that was about ANOTHER Khumalo)๐Ÿ˜‚ โ— Mogotsi also attempted to trap a colonel during Gen Khanโ€™s disciplinary process in a way that could have led to Khumalo being prosecuted for defeating the ends of justice. โ— A text message was also referenced in which Mogotsi informed Mchunu that he was meeting DNC Sibiya and Nkabinde in KZN to โ€œfinaliseโ€ the Mkhwanazi and Khumalo matters (potential charges). The Commission on Friday painted a picture of coordinated #interference, strategic #leaking, #manipulation of complaint systems, political #influence, and attempts to #destabilise SAPS leadership involved in combating organised crime. The people who demanded receipts are now watching them being unpacked, one by one, in public. Cred: Pinky Khoabane #fyp #PKTT #SAPS #Mogotsi #MadlangaCommission #Mkhwanazi

A spectacle, a live demonstration of Minister Mchunuโ€™s ineptitude. Commissioner Khumalo asked clear, structured questions and the Minister looked like a schoolboy in a reading-out-loud class. โ–  Khumalo: โ€œMinister, in your statement you claim that PKTT expenditure is irregular because, according to you, there is no approved extension request in place. Is that correct?โ€ โ–  Mchunu: โ€œYes, that is my understanding.โ€ โ–  Khumalo: "But why do you insist on saying that, Minister, when there is a signed and approved extension for the 2024/25 financial year right here?" โ–  Mchunu (caught off guard): โ€œIโ€ฆ I did not see that extension request or approval....โ€ (scrambling, adding unnecessary drama): โ€œButโ€ฆ in any case, there are no requests for the prior years before 2020-202 because a project manager usually would write....โ€ [ebe engenaphi yena uMchunu๐Ÿ™„] โ–  Khumalo: Minister, the fact that you didnโ€™t see the extension document does not mean it does not exist.โ€ โ–  Mchunu: โ€œExtension requests usually come with an extensive report andโ€ฆโ€ โ–  Khumalo: (soft voice, deadly accuracy): โ€œPerhaps if you had requested a proper briefing session, Minister, you would have received exactly that..." [Dead silence. Evil stare from Mchunu] โ–  Khumalo pressing on: "Let us move on to page.... Have you seen or read the SAPS Annual Report? The one that clearly lists the PKTT and all its finances?โ€ โ–  Mchunu: โ€œI amโ€ฆ aware of the Annual Report butโ€ฆโ€ [Looking as lost as ever, clearly he did not read the AR]. Nccccccc! What a mess.๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฟ #MadlangaCommission #SenzoMchunu #Mchunu #Mkhwanazi #AdHocCommittee #witnesses

"You Stick With Your Brother Through Thick And Thin"- Ngizwe Mchunu A prayer service for the embattled Police Minister Senzo Mchunu was held in Greyville Racecourse in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal(KZN) on Saturday. The service was held in support of Mchunu, who has been on special leave since July, last year. His leave emanates from allegations of interference in police activities and collusion with criminal elements. The claims were made by the KZN police Commissioner Leuitenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi that resulted in the establishment of a judicial commission to probe them. Mchunu is alleged to have authprized the disbandment of the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) in December 2024 without followign proper procedures. Supporters and independent faith groups gathered to pray for his "deliverance" and strength during a period of intense scrutiny and political pressure. This followed a similar gathering in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, in February 2026 which was hailed as a success by organizer Sipho Nathi Mafuyela. Another prayer was previously held at Mchunu's home in eMpangeni, KZN. Organizers state the prayers are meant to support Mchunu, who is "embattled" and on special leave, amid claims that the allegations against him are unfounded. Spokesperson Sithembiso Mshengu confirmed that while Mchunu is aware of the services, they are not officially sanctioned by him but are conducted independently. At the center of a probe by the Madlanga Commission and a Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee is the allegations that he unilaterally disbanded the KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) in December 2024. The situation led to intense political scrutiny, including calls from opposition parties for his dismissal and accusations of potential criminal implications. The prayers have sparked mixed reactions, with some supporters rallying behind him while others argue that the focus should be on accountability and the truth. Speaking to the attendees, controversial Podcast And Chill Network Co-Presenter Ngizwe Mchunu said he will never turn his back agaunst his own. "I recieved a call informing me that there was a prayer for one of our own Senzo Mchunu about the problems he is facing. Pretenders will forever be there even in the bible they were there before us. This is a fight against the Zulu nation. If you wajt to fight Zulu's , you have to divide them. Whether you are a Christian or not, you have to take this message, the day of Sabaath means life so when Sabaath is no longer bringing life than I don't know what does it mean. "I don't know him to be scandalous, I'm here to speak about my brother Senzo. To speak about what I know about him, if you have a problem with you must you must "voetsek". I'm here to tell the history of Senzo Mchunu. He was the head of the province and there was never a time where there were scandalous stories about him. In 2004 the ANC ruled the province under his organusation," he said. Mchunu further said: "I'm not here to campaign for him. For the ANC to rule the province , for Jacob Zuma (former South African President) to win the Polokwane Conference, it was Senzo Mchunu who had the numbers. It was Senzo Mchunu who played the huge role for Zuma to become the President. Enemy is a very important item on earth. I don't care who says what, but I want to tell you that there is no dustin for a human being. You stick with your brother through thick and thin. That is a power of life , that is a power of wisdom, that is a power of family," he said. Sakhile Shezi, the founder of Prayer For Senzo Mchunu.said that he had a vision that he must form a group to start a prayer line for Mchunu.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will fly into the eye of a storm when he arrives tomorrow from the BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, over KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi's series of damning crime allegations against Police Minister Senzo Mchunu and Deputy National Commissioner for Crime Detection Shadrack Sibiya. In an extraordinary press briefing in Durban yesterday - which has triggered a flurry of high-profile political reactions from the presidency and ANC officials- Mkhwanazi, a police Lieutenant-General, flanked by district commissioners and heavily armed members of SAPS Special Task Force, accused Mchunu of links with criminal syndicates that wanted to sabotage the Political Killings Task Team. Mkhwanazi said Mchunu had instructed senior SAPS officials to disband the taskforce in March 2025 and withdraw 121 active case dockets, many involving politically motivated assassinations in the province, without authorisation from either the National Police Commissioner or provincial leadership. He revealed evidence found on the phone of accused underworld figure Vusumuzi โ€˜Catโ€™ Matlala links Mchunu to controversial communications through an associate, Brown Mogotsi. Mkhwanazi says Matlala, who was arrested in May for attempted murder, had been awarded a R360-million police contract. The trailblazing and brave KZN police boss also said he has evidence of police involvement in high-profile crime syndicates. He says the rot runs deep, with law enforcement agents, and high-ranking politicians, aiding and abetting crime and drug cartels, especially in Gauteng province.

โ€ผ๏ธ๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿ”ฅ "I will always be available, Commissioner."๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ Lt-General Samuel Dumisani Khumalo concludes his evidence with a smile on his face ๐Ÿ˜ŠHis last words:๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ "The cumulative effect of these actions has been to create an atmosphere of uncertainty and apprehension, making it increasingly difficult for the PKTT members to carry out their duties effectively. Such tactics not only undermines the morale but also it erodes public trust in the integrity and the purpose of the team. I, Samuel Dumisani Khumalo, hope this statement goes a long way in assisting the Commission with the facts related to the disbandment of PKTT and provides a clear factual account of the events and motivations behind the team's disbandment. My intention is to ensure that the Commission is fully informed of the circumstances so that the truth may prevail and that the critical work of the PKTT is properly understood and considered. I will always be available, Commissioner. May the Spirit of the Lord, whose peace surpasses all understanding, keep and protect him now and always ~ until he has fulfilled every promise and undertaking set before him. May Godโ€™s divine covering rest upon him, his family, and all who walk this truth-seeking journey, so that through His light, we may all be set free. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ "UNkulunkulu Emuhle Azawungcine Umoya Wami" #MadlangaCommission #AdHocCommittee

๐Ÿคฏ Talk about a political trap snapping back on its architect! Remember when suspended Police Minister Senzo Mchunu and his Chief of Staff, Cedrick Nkabinde, tried to completely embarrass General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi at the Ad Hoc Committee? They dropped that infamous "10-minute secret recording" thinking they had the General cornered. Instead, Mkhwanazi sounded calm, collected, and completely unbotheredโ€”even dropping gems about knowing all about Malema's political connections! The absolute second-hand embarrassment of the Minister stuttering, admitting he "made a terrible mistake," and coming up empty-handed was pure political theatre. But letโ€™s talk about the spine chilling part everyone conveniently ignored. Right before the audio abruptly cut off, General Mkhwanazi brought up General Shadrack Sibiyaโ€™s infamous trip to Zimbabwe, explicitly mentioning that people died because of that visit. The entire Ad Hoc Committee suddenly got collective amnesia and refused to touch it.Why? Because Mkhwanazi was poking at the darkest skeleton in the SAPS closet: the brutal 2010/2011 illegal Zimbabwe cross-border renditions. Digging into who actually died and who signed those orders would open a massive Pandoraโ€™s box of state-sponsored assassinations and dirty political favors. The politicians might want those names buried forever in dusty IPID files, but Mkhwanazi just reminded everyone that he knows exactly where the bodies are buried and he holds the map. #MadlangaCommission #ProtectGeneralMkhwanazi

Cyril Ramaphosa, and the entire Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Police, especially its chairperson should testify at the #MadlangaCommission. For CR: he must answer this: โ€œcan you confirm that Mchunu told you about disbandment of the Political Killings Task Team? If yes, why did you agree?โ€ For Portfolio Committee on Police: when Mkhwanazi told you about disbandment of political killings team and Minister Mchunu argued that it was done in concert with President, why did you not probe political interference into police operations and hold the executive accountable? In the video below: Mchunu firstly says the task team canโ€™t operate without a deadline. Secondly, he dismisses the doctrine upon which it was established- I.e. these are not โ€œpolitical killingsโ€. Instead he argues they are pure crime. Then he says he has consulted the president, despite the fact that they reported to a ministerial team, and not presidential. That the president has agreed to the approach he is taking: meaning disbandment of the team. The basis Mchunu advances differs fundamentally with the Moerane Commission findings: that what is occurring in KZN are Political Killings motivated by fight over tenders, although largely โ€œintra-partyโ€ based. Also, that there was politicisation of the police and criminal justice system. This makes a good basis for why the Political Task Killings Team was โ€œMultidisciplinaryโ€; inclusive of SAPS, NPA etc. and it therefore succeeded in massively reducing the political assassinations in KZN. A factor Mkhwanazi credits for why other high profile cases were added to them. The portfolio committee heard all of this. But did not probe political interference! Neither did they ask if the ministerโ€™s decision is constitutional. They simply moved on with business as usual. They too must account! Secondly, if Ramaphosa agreed with this, we ought to be told why if the Task Team had not finished with cases referred to it by this time. Especially if this team HAD NEVER HAD ANY REPORTING MEETING with Mchunu. How did he know it was no longer necessarily when he had not engaged its report? Parliament never asked any of these questions! They are complicit and must come to #MadlangaCommission to answer for their utter uselessness!
