The Eucharist is the heart of Christianity

It does not matter if this Saint knew John the Apostle. What matters is if what is being taught measures up to Scripture. We have to measure these things against something. Judas WALKED with Jesus and denied Him. The Israelites in the desert WALKED with God and many denied Him. So just KNOWING John does not make the words out of the Saint's mouth the truth.

Well that’s exactly why we listen to the men taught by the Apostles because they’re the ones who preserved what the Apostles meant. And Saint Ignatius’ words are Scripture’s context, not competition.

You don't believe these scriptures in John chapter 6, only the ones your institution tells you to. If so, explain what Jesus means when He says he who comes to me will never hunger, and he who believes in me will never thirst.
