๐ŸšจLuis Enrique on why Fabiรกn Ruiz deserves to win the Ballon dโ€™Or: ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Luis Enrique: โ€œWhen people talk about the Ballon dโ€™Or, they immediately mention Mbappรฉ, Dembรฉlรฉ, Olise, Kane, Yamal and Rodri, and of course they all deserve to be in the conversation. But for me, Fabiรกn Ruiz deserves far more recognition than he is getting. โ€œLook at his influence for us in the Champions League. He wasnโ€™t simply a midfielder who completed passes and controlled possession. He scored important goals, arrived in dangerous areas and influenced games when the pressure was at its highest. In the biggest matches, he showed that he could take responsibility and change the outcome. โ€œAnd with Spain, he has continued to prove his importance on the international stage. At the World Cup, he showed the same qualities his intelligence, his ability to control the tempo and, when the opportunity came, his ability to contribute goals and decisive moments. He isnโ€™t a player who needs to dominate the headlines to dominate a football match. โ€œFabiรกn has won the World Cup, the Euros, back-to-back Champions League titles and the Nations League, while playing an important role in successful teams. When you combine his trophies, his consistency, his performances for PSG and Spain and his influence in the biggest games, I donโ€™t understand how you can leave him out of the Ballon dโ€™Or conversation. โ€œFor me, the award should recognise the player who has influenced winning at the highest level,if Rodri could win it Fabiรกn Ruiz has done exactly that and deserves to win it.โ€

The 1994 NFL MVP: Steve Young 30 years ago, Steve Young delivered what many consider as one of the greatest seasons in QB history, earning his second MVP in three years, and the fifth MVP for the 49ers franchise, which was the most of any franchise at that point. Young had himself a generational campaign, with a passer rating of 112.8 (an NFL record at the time), 324 out of 461 completions, 3,969 yards, and 35 touchdowns. But Steve Young could run the ball, too. His 293 rushing yards that season were the most of any quarterback in the league, as were his 7 rushing touchdowns, and perhaps most impressively, Young fumbled only 4 times. Young was not only the best passer in the league, he was also the best running quarterback. In that era, this was an extraordinarily lethal and rare combination. In the Super Bowl, he threw six touchdown passes in a 24-for-36 performance against the San Diego Chargers, leading San Francisco to a 49โ€“26 championship victory. On the 75th anniversary of this iconic 1994 season, a year where throwback uniforms were celebrated by the NFL and a special anniversary logo patch was worn, weโ€™ve brought back the Authentic 49ers โ€˜94 uniform. Staying tuned to the finer details that make all the difference, our Authentics feature the same โ€˜HAYโ€™ letters that was embroidered into each patch that year. This was done to pay homage to Ralph Hay, who was incredibly influential in bringing teams together to create a more structured professional football league.

Football is such a brutal sport, things can change in a second. Arthur Okonkwo arrived on loan from Arsenal in 2023, he helped Wrexham secure promotion from League Two to League One. You can hear the fans singing for him to โ€œSign the contractโ€. This was at the end of the season in June 2024. Well, he eventually signed a 3-year contract and stayed with them. He helped them secure promotion again from League One to Championship. Wrexham signed Ward to replace him in the Championship, because Ward was more experiencedโ€ฆUnfortunately, Ward got injured as the season started. Okonkwo then helped them so much in the league that they almost got promoted to the premier league. Guess what? Ward came back from injury in the last 4 games of last season, the coach, Phil Parkinson benched Okonkwo. I can even say thatโ€™s why they didnโ€™t promote, because he started to change the squad that was already doing well and sitting in a good spot for play offs. Wrexham has now signed Patterson from Sunderland. He was on loan at Millwall last season but those ones didnโ€™t keep him. Okonkwo has now moved to 3rd choice. This is the reason heโ€™s now being loaned to Charlton. If he does well, and Charlton does well, Iโ€™m sure heโ€™ll get a good move because he is a good goalkeeper and heโ€™s still 24. Again, football is brutal. Fans could be singing your name to sign a new contract today, and by tomorrow, youโ€™re out. Football is not played with emotions, itโ€™s a brutal sport.

๐ŸšจJordan head coach Jamal Sellami on Algeriaโ€™s winning goal against Jordan as Jordan are eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup: ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ โ€œI have watched the replay several times, and for me it is very difficult to understand how that goal was allowed to stand. From what I saw, the Algerian striker was clearly offside in the build-up to the goal.โ€ โ€œAt this level of football, with VAR available and every angle being reviewed, these are the decisions that must be correct. We are not talking about a small moment in the game โ€” we are talking about a goal that decided the match and ultimately our World Cup fate.โ€ โ€œMy players gave everything on the pitch. They fought for every ball, represented Jordan with pride and put themselves in a position to get a result. That is why it is painful when such a controversial decision goes against you.โ€ โ€œI respect Algeria and congratulate them on their victory, but I cannot hide my disappointment. In competitions as important as the World Cup, goals that appear offside should not stand. That is exactly why VAR exists.โ€ โ€œTonight we leave the tournament with our heads held high, but also with questions. Unfortunately, one decision changed everything, and that is something that will be difficult to accept. {BT Sports}

Signed arguably Leeds best player in Gray Signed arguably West Hams best player in Kudus A reject right back for us, playing reguarly for West Ham in KWP who is still one of our own, helping to save their club and would probably start ahead of Porro for us A Manager we sacked after 12 weeks in Nuno because he wasnt good enough leading West Ham to safety Tried to sign Nottingham Forests best player in MGW but messed up by approaching illegally One of the best stadiums in World football which could almost fit the entire capacities of Forest and Leeds stadium combined into ours alone Years and years and years of calling for Levys head for him to then finally leave Gifting West Ham their first win in 10 weeks of Premier League football Losing 6-0 to Nottingham Forest on aggregate this season Losing multiple players to reocurring serious injuries through misdiagnosis and rushing them back with almost every injury requiring surgical repair Our then Manager coming out at the start of the season saying Tottenham will ๐Ÿ’ฏ lose games, but Arsenal wont ยฃ13m net spend in January to save the club from a financially catastrophic relegation. The fans could see the red flags of relegation, but Vivienne, Lange and Vinai couldnt Not getting a single penalty all season An entire squad of failing relegation players somehow still being selected for their national sides and playing brilliant whilst away on duty The Sporting Director we'd have rathe kept in Paratici, leaving instead of the other Sporting Director we all despise in Lange We are living and breathing witnessing the worst season in the entire history of Tottenham Hotspur as a football club. I do not understand how weve had the worst luck and the most jarring situations happen this season and what it is that we as fans have done to deserve this. Its as though weve sold our souls by winning the Europa League and now the clubs being banished to the fiery pits of hell to be incinerated into oblivion If we didnt have the injuries and had everyone fit and available, we probably finish top 8 with complete ease I wish the season ended tomorrow and we just get it over and done with and see where we play the rigged fixture against Lincoln on the opening day of the Championship season, home or away

๐Ÿ‘ฝ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿชฝ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿชฝ โ€œAliens are Demonsโ€ is a Collins Elite talking point - which is a shadowy government group lead by Peter Thiel Donald Barr ex CIA & Collins Elite member hired Epstein in the 1970s as a college dropout to be a University professorโ€ฆ The Collins Elite is a term that refers to an alleged secretive, unofficial group within the U.S. government (primarily involving military, intelligence, and defense personnel) that believes UFOs and associated "alien" phenomena are not extraterrestrial in origin, but demonic or satanic in nature. The concept first gained widespread attention through British UFO researcher Nick Redfernโ€™s 2010 book *Final Events and the Secret Government Group on Demonic UFOs and the Afterlife*. According to Redfern (who claims to have spoken with multiple anonymous sources, including a purported former member), the group reportedly formed in the early 1950s (possibly as early as the late 1940s) in response to: - The post-WWII UFO wave (starting with Kenneth Arnold's 1947 sighting and the Roswell incident). - Connections they perceived between occult activities and UFOs, particularly the rituals of Aleister Crowley and JPL co-founder Jack Parsons (whose "Babalon Working" ceremonies in the 1940s were believed by the group to have opened portals allowing demonic entities into our world). The group's core belief is that what people interpret as aliens, abductions, or advanced craft are actually deceptive demons/fallen angels - minions of Satan โ€” whose goal is to deceive humanity, harvest souls, promote anti-Christian ideologies (like transhumanism), and pave the way for Armageddon and Judgment Day. They reportedly viewed contact with or study of these "non-human entities" (NHEs) as spiritually dangerous and advocated against disclosure or engagement. The CIA and the US Army used taxpayer money in 1952 to study demonology & UFOs to carry on the work of Jack Parsons which is the inception of the Collins Eite: ""We were asked-this was people like me, a couple of G-2 [Army Intelligence] boys, two fellows from Naval Intelligence, several of the Air Force fellows in on the early Parsons thing at Wright, and a few moreโ€”if we would look at running an op to continue where the old Parsons project stopped. We were ready for it because of the interest that had come with watching [Parsons]-but a bit amazed the Pentagon was ready to fund what was, really, a study on if the disks had devil beginnings. "And this is exactly why it was all kept so secret in the beginning. Everyone-particular the Pentagon boys-knew the hammer was going to come down on all this if Congress found out good U.S. dollars were being used to pay for [a study of] demonology and flying saucers. Maybe a little more mundane than you might want to hear. But that really was the first reason for the secrecy with us: not a big conspiracy about what we were doing, but a lot of anger and probably a hell of a lot of ridicule that would come tumbling out if anyone else found out." -Redfern

As the Connecticut Huskies attempt to win another national championship tonight against Michigan, Alabama Menโ€™s Basketball fans still hear the echos of two years ago when the Crimson Tide finally crashed college basketballโ€™s biggest event for the first time on April 6, 2024. Inside State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., the Crimson Tideโ€™s breakthrough season reached its crescendo in its first Final Four appearance against the Huskies. As a No. 4 seed coming out of the West Region, the magical run ended with an 86-72 loss, but not before the Crimson Tide proved it belonged on the grandest stage. Mark Sears led the way with 24 points, five rebounds and three assists, continuing his March brilliance. Grant Nelson delivered a monster effort with 19 points and a season-best 15 rebounds for a double-double, while Aaron Estrada added 13 points as Alabama fought to keep within striking distance deep into the second half. Stephon Castle scored 21 points, Donovan Clingan had 18 and Tristen Newton controlled the game with 12 points and nine assists. When Alabama clawed back to tie it in the second half, UConn answered with a decisive run. โ€œWe got this program to its first Final Four, and Iโ€™m unbelievably proud of these guys,โ€ Alabama head coach Nate Oats said. โ€œWe just went up against the best team in the country and they showed it.โ€ Two years later, as Connecticut chases another title, that Saturday night in Glendale stands as more than a final score in Alabama history. It redefined the ceiling of a program and created an expectation to get back.

โ€ผ๏ธ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Great interview from Carlos Alcaraz today at the Princesa de Girona CongresFest in Murcia, where he spoke a lot about consistency, discipline, and the daily work that goes into the trophies: โ” โ€œToday weโ€™ve been hearing people talk about research, innovation, explorationโ€ฆ You revolutionized tennis at a very young age. What do you think is behind that ability to keep improving constantly?โ€ ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Carlos: โ€œWell, I think itโ€™s the desire to learn. When you realize thereโ€™s still so much for you to improve, so much for you to learn, in my case, in the world of tennisโ€ฆ in the end youโ€™re competing against players who also want to improve in order to beat you, who want to put themselves in the best possible position. And thatโ€™s what motivates you, or at least what motivates me, to keep improving, to keep up with the level of tennis and also keep up with the rate at which my rivals are improving.โ€ โ” โ€œIn elite sport, just like in science and entrepreneurship, a very important part is knowing how to push beyond your own limits. So my question is: what values have been most important in helping you develop that throughout your journey?โ€ ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ โ€œI think consistency. Day-to-day consistency, trying to give your best every single day. โ€œIn the end, people probably see the matches, the tournaments, the victories and defeats, but you also have to place a lot of value on what happens behind the scenes: the work you put in every day. โ€œI think thatโ€™s the most important thing: going every day, in my case, to the tennis court or the gym with tremendous excitement about trying to give the best of myself, trying to improve so that later it shows on the court. โ€œThat consistency of taking things day by day, of trying to control everything necessary to be in the best possible condition when itโ€™s time to compete - thatโ€™s what motivates me. And itโ€™s what I value most now in the position Iโ€™m in. Iโ€™m grateful to the version of myself from six or seven years ago for having done everything possible every single day.โ€ โ” โ€œPeople see the trophies and the victories, but they donโ€™t see the work behind them because itโ€™s invisible. What advice would you give to young people, and to all of us, about discipline and consistency, so we can understand how someone like you keeps going?โ€ ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ โ€œAbove all, patience. โ€œWhen I was 14 years old, I had zero patience. I wanted things overnight. I wanted results immediately. Personally, I hate losing at anything, even back there. So I always wanted to win, I wanted everything to work out perfectly, I wanted things to go exactly right. But I think what Iโ€™d tell young people is to have patience. โ€œThe beautiful thing is the process. Itโ€™s the journey. Itโ€™s going to a competition or doing something that truly fills you with pride and then seeing that it doesnโ€™t work out. โ€œYou fail but what matters is how you get back up, how you come back the next day and try again. โ€œThatโ€™s the beautiful part, and thatโ€™s the advice Iโ€™d give to young people: be patient, enjoy the journey, enjoy what youโ€™re doing, because one day youโ€™ll look back, value it, and feel proud of it.โ€

Kilimani - Ndemi Road The genuine residents of Ndemi Road and immediate streets called out the meeting for not adhering to the notice period. The usual architect fixer for the Chinese, Michire Mugo๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ and a Mr. Gitau (NEMA Consultant) ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฟโ€โ™€๏ธ insisted that the meeting should go on. They acknowledge that this is a 4 storey zone neighbourhood and what they proposed is based on trends. ๐Ÿšฎ The area Chief pretended he was neutral and immediately started praising the proposed development. We shut him down. He left. One guy named Tirop (probably a fixer for the Chinese) hit me and grabbed my mobile. We withdrew from the meeting. Said Tirop went to the garage on the corner of Muringa and Ndemi to rally mechanics to attend. The genuine residents moved to the back of the property to discuss further. Blissful says it will cut ALL trees down and build wall to wall. WHO IS APPROVING THESE PLANS? They care about noone but themselves. Permits have not been issued. We will stop them. Oh, we ripped up the initial sign in sheet. So, the attendance list will comprise non residents who were plied with mandazi, soda and maybe money. The Chinese "owners" couldn't even express themselves clearly in English but lectured us about what Kenyans need. His name is Wu. Could be the Jack Wu of the Chinese Property Developers Association. This may get a little personal, with blurry photos for evidence. But Harmanpreet's 200th T20I feels like the right occasion for this story. Bear with me - it'll all make sense. My first meeting with Harmanpreet Kaur lasted only a few minutes, to fix an interview. Looking back, though, it's an interaction that changed the questions I asked and the stories I chose to tell. It was just before the 2016 T20 World Cup. I was in Ranchi covering my first international assignment in women's cricket. Like any young reporter, I had done my homework beforehand. Then I spent the week putting faces to the names, and learning their stories. And when I finally met Harmanpreet, I called her by the wrong name. It was an honest mistake. I was mortified nonetheless. Harman, however, barely reacted. She brushed past it just as effortlessly as I had blurted it out, and carried on with the conversation. It was an embarrassing mistake, one that the overthinker in me couldn't move past. But Harman's non-reaction honestly hit me with the hardest reality of women's cricket. Misidentification wasn't unusual back then. So common, in fact, that the players had simply learned to live with it. There was no outrage in Harman's response, no attempt to make me feel worse than I already did. Typically unfazed, she just simply moved the conversation along. The decade that followed wasn't a straight line. And it tested her in almost every way possible - as a batter, as a captain, as one of the faces of a rapidly growing sport in the country. It was a remarkable change, and not just in Harman's career, but in women's cricket itself. She became one of the defining figures of Indian cricket. With more visibility, the expectations changed. The scrutiny increased. But Harman largely remained Harman. She inspired more than one generation and ultimately led India to its first World Cup title. What was once easy to overlook had become impossible to ignore. Perhaps that is why one moment from the 2025 World Cup celebrations remains so vivid in my memory. Amid the chaos and emotion of a historic night, Harman walked over, handed me the trophy and insisted for a photograph. It was a small gesture, but one that meant a great deal coming from someone whose journey I had been lucky enough to chronicle for nearly a decade. For a few seconds, I found myself holding the ultimate prize of everything Indian women's cricket had worked towards. My mind immediately went back to Ranchi. To that awkward first meeting. And to the journey that followed. A journey that ensured nobody would ever mistake Harmanpreet Kaur for anybody else again. Today, as Harman becomes the first cricketer - male or female - to play 200 T20Is, it feels like a milestone for a generation that helped transform women's cricket in India. Congratulations, Harman. It's been fascinating to watch this journey unfold, and to document parts of it along the way.
