Gov Sani: “Today, by the grace of God, you can travel from Abuja to Kaduna to Kano with your eyes closed. Now that the security issue has been addressed, our people travel without any problems. Thanks again to our able President Tinubu, the NSA has effectively coordinated the operation of security forces in stabilizing the security situation on the Abuja to Kaduna road.”

This video is not just about one man’s sitting room being turned into a swimming pool after flooding. It is a warning about what reckless urban management can do to Abuja. Wike’s Abuja is being packaged with roads, bridges, cameras and loud commissioning ceremonies, but a city is not developed by concrete alone. A serious city is protected by drainage, waterways, green areas, master plan discipline, environmental control and responsible land administration. When water begins to enter people’s homes like an invited guest, the problem is bigger than rainfall. It is about blocked waterways. It is about reckless approvals. It is about weak planning. It is about turning Abuja into a construction theatre while ignoring the foundation of a livable city. People may clap for new roads today, but flooding will not clap. Flooding will expose every bad decision, every compromised plan, every destroyed green area and every water channel sacrificed for political performance. This is why Wike is dangerous to Abuja. He understands visibility, but Abuja needs more than visible projects. Abuja needs preservation. Abuja needs order. Abuja needs a minister who sees the city as a national capital, not a personal stage for political drama. A sitting room becoming a swimming pool is not normal. That is not progress. That is urban disaster knocking on the door. Abuja must not be destroyed in the name of performance.

Whoever tells you that Wike’s work rate as FCT Minister is overhyped has never lived in Abuja. This is the road to Deda Hospital in Jahi/Katampe, one of the best hospitals in Abuja. I almost withdrew my wife’s antenatal services from the hospital because of the slow pace of the road construction. Today, I can get to this hospital in 10 minutes from my residence. Those of you expecting Wike to initiate new projects immediately after inheriting a city that looked like an abandoned site are certified clowns.

It had rained all day & Zlatan was supposed to co-headline the capital block party in Abuja, unfortunately due to the heavy rain, there was a crash on the Abuja airport runway so all commercial flights into Abuja were grounded. Zlatan, because of his love for the brand , Alhaji popping & OD booked a private jet out of his pocket & came to surprise everyone with a lit performance after we had announced he wasn’t coming. #WorldPresident 🌎 is truly a rare gem in this industry💐🙌🏾

For the first time in many years, Nigeria is witnessing an unprecedented wave of road construction projects. No administration before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s has embarked on repairs and new builds at this scale. Across the country, the evidence is visible: - Southwest & South-South: - Shagamu–Benin Expressway - Ore–Akure Road - Akure–Ado Road - Benin–Sapele–Warri route - Benin–Asaba Road Ibadan - Akure road - Southeast & South-South: - Port Harcourt–Enugu Road - Benue–Enugu Road - East–West Road (Port Harcourt–Warri section, ~75% complete) - Enugu–Onitsha Expressway (~60% complete) - Benin–Auchi–Okene Road (~55% complete) - Newly built Eke Obinagu Flyover, Enugu Ebony - Calabar - Abuja road. Abacha is trending because in defending Omoyele Sowore, Seun Kuti said when Sowore was fighting Gen. Sani Abacha for Nigerians, Peter Obi was instead working for Abacha. Actually, Obi never worked with Abacha. In 1996 Obi and 99 traders went to Abuja to complain about the congested Tincan port, only 30 of them were allowed in. Obi was chosen to speak for the traders, there General Sani Abacha made him committee leader in charge of decongesting Apapa port, it was a two-three weeks exercise.
