Is it about him as a person or what he says ( ad hominem). Focus and debate on the issues at a level substantive and share alternative version. There's everything correct about African-Ness but all things wroโ€™g doctrinaire. Is there value defending nothingness?@TamukaKagoro77

This is quite revealing. This requires all Africans to beware of these fake activists who say the right things but do the opposite. It seems there's an entire group of fake pan africanists hired to bait and switch in order to confuse our people. I am reminded of Julius Malema who has turned out to be another fake. Rutendo please compile a list of these actors so people can guard against listening to them. They are poison to the African mind. Thank you for this expose' it's an eye opener indeed.

The land reform programme was never a Zanu pf idea. It was Chenjerai Hunzwi , Zapu member, who ordered the invasion. Initially, there was confusion and opposition within the Zanu pf ranks who were also shocked. Mugabe saw his chance to survive. It was never planned by Zanu pf

Brian Kagoro is just plain brilliant. There is absolutely nothing worth praising about African leaders. Look at the state of their countries and the insatiable looting like in Zimbabwe. You are too timid to talk about it and you will never condemn it cause you are a beneficiary

This is how much this man hates South Africa and Africa. He lies that there is a white genocide in South Africa. He made this speech yesterday. He continues to lie that there is a genocide in South Africa. That is why I do not understand the African idiots who support this man. You have to be a big black African idiot to support Donald Trump. South Africa is the biggest economy in Africa. It has taken care of millions of Africans, giving them an opportunity to pursue their dreams and to feed their families. There are millions of Africans living in South Africa, and yet Donald Trump is trying to destroy that economy that helps many Africans to sustain a decent living. And yet there is a black African who supports this man and sees Trump as a hero. Trump is an idiot. I do not care about him. But I am astonished that there is a black African somewhere in Africa seeing Donald Trump as a hero, and yet the same Donald Trump is trying to destroy the biggest economy in Africa for no apparent legitimate reason. South Africa has done nothing wrong to America, nothing wrong to Donald Trump, and yet yesterday he made this shameless speech. This makes me absolutely angry, livid, to know that there is an African out there who supports this idiot. He is running his racist refugee programme. He has blocked all other black nationals from Africa from seeking asylum in America. That is fine. We do not care about America. But he is using his racist programme to try and destroy the very mainstay of African economics, because that is what South Africa is to Africans. There is no country in Africa that does not have its nationals in South Africa. It takes a certain level of ignorance and idiocy for any black African to support and hail this man as a hero. This man wants to destroy our continent, and yet some African idiot is out there twerking for this guy.

I think the presenter is on to something big, but where I disagree with her is that she accuses African leaders and gives a subtle pass to African citizens. It is not true that African citizens were oblivious to what Trump or Epstein are. They knew, but they simply did not have the ability to think critically that when Trump talks about LGBT issues, it is not necessarily that he does not support them, but that he understood there is a group of foolish people out there who would buy into that rhetoric without interrogating why he was deploying it. Some of Trumpโ€™s best friends, like Peter Mandelson, are gay, yet some Africans were foolish enough to believe that Trump is anti-gay. He simply understood how human beings operate, that there are times when people fail to think, a tragic failure to think, and they just go with the flow. If you ask Africans today what they gained from the perceived homophobia that Trump projected, which we know was political theatre targeted at a particular audience, they will not be able to tell you. Trump might be many things to many people. I do not like him and everybody knows that, but the one thing I respect him for is that he understands his audience. He knows what to say when he is talking to foolish people. He knows what to say when he is talking to idiotic people. He knows what to say when he is talking to sycophants. He knows what to say when he is talking to people who do not understand the world of politics, and he gets away with it. And for that, I give it to him. He becomes a political superstar precisely because you then have black people in Africa supporting him. That in itself shows you the scale of political illiteracy that exists, where people rally behind rhetoric crafted to manipulate them, not to advance their interests.

The South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, said that South Africans were deeply ashamed of the criminal actions of a few South Africans, which resulted in fellow Africans living in South Africa being treated badly, discriminated against, ill-treated, and forced to leave the country under the threat of violence. He condemned such actions, stressing that they do not represent the values of South Africa and that Africans living in the country should be treated with dignity and respect. However, President Ramaphosaโ€™s statement is contrary to what he told journalists before today, when he said there was nothing wrong with what the South Africans had done and that he was not worried about it. So, either he is playing the African leaders he was addressing, telling them what they want to hear, or he is playing South African citizens through their media by saying things domestically to placate them and then going to an international forum, such as the Durban SADC meeting, and saying something completely different. You cannot credibly hold two contradictory positions on such a serious issue depending on the audience you are addressing. If you tell South Africans one thing at home and tell African leaders something different at an international gathering, legitimate questions arise about which position you actually believe. That is the kind of duplicitous behaviour we too often see from African leaders. The real test of leadership is not what you say, but whether you say the same thing when the audience changes.
