Nick Watt tried the usual trap. He quoted Murray’s own words — “𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘐𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘮 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺” — and then immediately tried to redefine them: “𝘚𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘐𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘮 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘮 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩. The Abedi family were jihadists who’d fallen out with Colonel Gaddafi over rival jihadist factions. Britain took them in. They settled in Manchester. And 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢, one of the sons this country gave shelter to, walked into the Manchester Arena at 𝟐𝟐 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐥𝐝 and k!lled 𝟐𝟐 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 with a suicide bomb. “𝘖𝘯𝘦, 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺, 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘨𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘮.” Then Murray went to the math that nobody in media wants to engage with. “𝘑𝘪𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘮, 𝘫𝘪𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘮 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘐𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘮.
