This is the first time that the public is informed of the ordination two days prior of the Prophet Russell M. Nelson as the 17th President of the Church. As part of the broadcast, the Apostles Dallin H. Oaks and Henry B. Eyring were announced as First and Second Counselors in the First Presidency, respectively.
