I recently met up with my friend Samantha Brown in New York City, and we took a moment in Central Park to share why we love public broadcasting — and why both PBS and NPR are so important. Every time I connect with Sam (of “Samantha Brown’s Places to Love”), I’m reminded of how her love of travel is such an inspiration and how thankful I am that we both host shows on public television that inspire our fellow Americans to reach out and connect with our world and celebrate it in all its diversity, humanity, and wonder. “So, in the past few days the Zeudiners have taken part in two charity fundraisers. The first one, organized by Pedro, was for Gaza. $2,600 were raised to support families with food supplies and to help build places of worship. The second one, organized by Voila, was to help people in Sicily who in January were hit by Cyclone Harry. Here the Zeudiners raised €1,200. RachiRa summarized these two incredible initiatives that you undertook. I am very happy and proud of all of this. As always, we stand out from so many people who just talk, talk, talk and criticize, criticize — especially our community. But fundamentally… what do they actually do? Nothing. We donate. We help others. We try to create something beautiful, always with a philanthropic spirit that sets our community apart from many others, who only know how to talk. We, instead, act. We go straight to the facts. And the thing is, our community is made up of young people. Others, on the other hand, are grown adults — people with life experience, with children, with families, with grandchildren — and they’re still online criticizing. It’s only right that they get reported and have to pay for it. Because seriously, hasn’t life taught you anything? Donate. Help others. And that doesn’t necessarily mean donating money — donate love, donate generosity. Be generous emotionally. Be genuine — that’s the word I was looking for. Genuine. The lack of empathy in some people is shocking. And imagine that we still have empathy for them. Imagine how far our empathy goes. We understand that some people are unwell, and there’s not much you can do about that. But honestly, better that than being truly cruel — like I was saying yesterday.”

A sneak peak to our project that happened earlier ✨ We've been gatekeeping this for a month to make it extra meaningful. Now we are happy to share with you this special fan project of ours for Fyang. The sleepless nights and endless planning for the perfect execution finally came to life. This project doesn’t mean to brag but to showcase our genuine love and support for Fyang, no matter how hard it is and how much effort it requires. All of this was possible without everyone’s trust and support of our plan. Even if they don’t have any idea what the project is, they still trust & support us no matter what it is. We were told American wool was a dying industry and that we weren’t big enough to meet order minimums for American grown organic cotton. We were told that bootstrapping (literally building everything from scratch without any real funds) wasn’t going to be possible. I thank God for our stubbornness and our belief that you can do whatever you put your mind to. We put our heads down and have busted our asses to get to where we are. We now have our very own wool mill (1960s American made machinery to vertically integrate) and our own property with a sew shop and a space for wool processing. This is just the beginning and you can expect big things from The Woolshire going forward. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers, and support. We watched as our participants left the conema carrying not just memories, but the laughter we freely shared, the tears we quietly held space for, and the love that filled every corner of the room. This event would not have been possible without the love and effort of so many incredible people, and we would like to take this moment to express our deepest gratitude. First and foremost, to our MikBrent Global Family, thank you for organizing this very special screening and for thoughtfully preparing all the amazing freebies for our attendees. And as she walked toward the stage, our eyes met, that’s how we exchanged glance. You know unni’s eyes and nose is like this. I felt so proud (that Ggone noticed right away). She was watching from the waiting room when I received the award. I felt proud to win an award in front of her. I felt really proud, especially all the Yumi’s Cells members also received an award that day. It felt like we were all there as proof of how much we’d grown since Yumi’s Cells.”
