Mike Dunleavy Jr. says the Warriors are looking for more scoring, better offensive punch, and to bring back some unrestricted free agents: “To be honest, getting Yaxel is a guy that we feel like can plug in and just fill a lot of gaps for us in our lineup. If you look at the players we have on our roster, here’s a guy that can play multiple positions, fit right in there at one of the toughest positions to guard in the league, and that’s not very readily available in the trade market or in free agency. So, not having to overly address that is key. We’ll go into free agency, and we’ll look for some scoring, some better offensive punch, and then look to bring back some of the guys that are unrestricted free agents for us. Obviously we got Steph coming back. He’ll still be great. Jimmy’s going to miss some time, but yeah, we have to find a way to get more guys to get the domino to fall and break down the defense. I think we’ve got really good players once that happens that can play off that, cut, move, pass, and Yaxel, he’ll fit right in that regard. And I think he’ll be able to provide some offense for us too, but that would be a heavy load as a rookie in the NBA to expect too much there.
