Yesterday ex-Bungie exec Martin O’Donnell who successfully sued #Bungie for unpaid wages and stock ownership, did an interview with Act Man about Bungie's recent woes. He implied Bungie CEO Pete Parsons and the #Microsoft corporate ethos and management style he comes from, was to blame. Martin also believes he may have been intentionally fired just weeks before his founders stock was due to be vested, so Bungie and its leadership could save money. There were similar staff retention and shares vestment schemes as part of #Sony's acquisition of Bungie, so both would have likely saved money in a similar way with recent layoffs. Martin expands on how Pete Parsons hasn't been at Bungie for decades, and was originally a Microsoft Marketing Executive who was brought in as Studio Manager for Bungie, but left during Bungie's negotiations for independence away from Microsoft. He was not involved in any of Halo 3's production. Unbeknownst to Martin, Pete didn't actually leave the company when he left, instead went back to an executive role at Microsoft. Pete Parsons was brought back in as Marketing Head in an exec role at Bungie around 2009. Over the coming years other executives got fired while Pete eventually went on to assume the top CEO role at Bungie in 2016, just before the release of Destiny 2. A 22-year-old passenger was allegedly stabbed to death inside a first-class compartment of a Churchgate-Nallasopara fast local train following an argument over keeping the coach door open during heavy rain, police said. The victim, identified as Mayank Lohar, a resident of Virar, was travelling in the first-class coach of Train No. 90663, when the incident occurred between Andheri and Borivali stations. Lohar worked as a salesman for a private company in Andheri and was returning home from work at the time of the incident. According to the Government Railway Police (GRP), Lohar and the accused were travelling in the same first-class compartment after the train departed Churchgate at 10:05 p.m. As heavy rain lashed the city, Lohar reportedly asked the accused to close the coach door. The request allegedly led to a heated argument between the two passengers. During the altercation, the accused allegedly pulled out a sharp weapon and stabbed Lohar in the abdomen, inflicting serious injuries. The train reached Borivali Station's Platform No. 6 at 11:04 p.m. Police said the accused jumped from the moving train near the platform before it came to a complete halt and fled from the station premises. Western Railway said its emergency response system was activated immediately after information about the incident was received. Within three minutes of the train's arrival, personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and GRP reached the coach and attended to the injured passenger. A stretcher, porter and medical team were rushed to the compartment. RKO had borrowed Marilyn Monroe from 20th Century Fox for Fritz Lang's "Clash by Night" (1952). In 1949, Monroe had posed for a N*de calendar. Fox had kept it under wraps, but RKO wanted to exploit that to promote the movie. They used it as PR. It was crushing Monroe who was already insecure and unstable. Barbara Stanwyck, who had posed for n*de portraits in her 20s, advised Monroe to defiantly own it and admit she did it to pay the bills. When Stanwyck was asked by the press to give an opinion on her co-star, she drolly said to the reporters, "When you have a figure like that, you don't have to act." Stanwyck also protected Monroe from Fritz Lang's constant belittling. During the filming, Monroe started arriving late on the set and couldn't function without her personal coach. Lang was so hard on Monroe that she vomited from anxiety before every scene. Her scene with Stanwyck took 26 takes, but Stanwyck didn't say a word. That put Fritz Lang in his place. Stanwyck would later admit that working with Monroe could be exasperating but there was no denying she had a magic that was obvious to everyone. Lang was so hard on Monroe that she vomited from anxiety before every scene. Her scene with Stanwyck took 26 takes, but Stanwyck didn't say a word. That put Fritz Lang in his place. Stanwyck would later admit that working with Monroe could be exasperating but there was no denying she had a magic that was obvious to everyone.
