Yesterday ex-Bungie exec Martin O’Donnell who successfully sued #Bungie for unpaid wages and stock ownership, did an interview with Act Man about Bungie's recent woes. He implied Bungie CEO Pete Parsons and the #Microsoft corporate ethos and management style he comes from, was to blame. Martin also believes he may have been intentionally fired just weeks before his founders stock was due to be vested, so Bungie and its leadership could save money. There were similar staff retention and shares vestment schemes as part of #Sony's acquisition of Bungie, so both would have likely saved money in a similar way with recent layoffs. Martin expands on how Pete Parsons hasn't been at Bungie for decades, and was originally a Microsoft Marketing Executive who was brought in as Studio Manager for Bungie, but left during Bungie's negotiations for independence away from Microsoft. He was not involved in any of Halo 3's production. Unbeknownst to Martin, Pete didn't actually leave the company when he left, instead went back to an executive role at Microsoft. Pete Parsons was brought back in as Marketing Head in an exec role at Bungie around 2009. Over the coming years other executives got fired while Pete eventually went on to assume the top CEO role at Bungie in 2016, just before the release of Destiny 2. 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙚𝙣𝙨 Our resident videographer Mark Forde has compiled this video from the U-20's first game in Parnell Park through to the winning dressing room in Nowlan Park. He told me back in March that he had a little project on the side and was fully confident that the lads would go the whole way and he wanted to be there to record the memories. Apart from being a talented and unique videographer, Mark is one of the nicest and most genuine young men that you'd ever meet. He always seems to be in the right place at key moments to capture some fantastic footage. This journey started on the 4th of January, and if we’re being honest, a lot of us didn’t know what to expect. But that scripture kept ringing in our hearts “I know the thoughts I think towards you, thoughts of good and not of evil.” Through it all, God used LLF to remind us that He wasn’t done with Liema. This second chance wasn’t by accident it had a purpose. Thank you to every single person who stood by her, even when it didn’t look good. You didn’t move, you didn’t fold; you stayed. And because of that, we witnessed the growth, the strength, the evolution. You carried her on your shoulders and never let her fall. We see you, we appreciate you, and we’re deeply grateful.
