I strongly condemn the coordinated attacks carried out by pro-APC political thugs in Ile-Ife, Ede, Osogbo and other parts of our state earlier today. No political ambition is worth the blood, pain, and suffering of innocent citizens. I call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, the Inspector General of Police TUNJI DISU, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security authorities to urgently intervene and call Mr. Gboyega Oyetola Adegboyega Oyetola and the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji Bola Oyebamiji and everyone behind these provocations to order before they plunge our dear state into chaos. After receiving reports of the attacks, I personally visited affected areas and met victims receiving treatment at the Osun State Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, and the Cottage Hospital, Ede. I also paid a solidarity visit to the Osogbo Accord Chairman who survived a gunshot attack last week. I sympathize with all victims and their families. My administration will not abandon them in this difficult moment. I have directed security agencies to thoroughly investigate these incidents and ensure that every perpetrator, regardless of status or political affiliation, is brought to justice. Political differences must never degenerate into violence, intimidation, or attacks on citizens exercising their constitutional rights. Democracy thrives on dialogue, tolerance, and respect for the rule of law. I urge all residents to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding. Additional security measures are being activated across vulnerable locations, and my administration remains fully committed to protecting lives, property, and the peace of Osun State. May God grant speedy recovery to the injured and continue to preserve the peace of our beloved state.

Today, in an historic event marking our administration’s second anniversary, we welcomed our father and elder statesman, the Former President of Nigeria, General Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, to the capital city of Osogbo, to commission one of our administration’s landmark projects in Osun State. The newly completed dualisation of Old Garage-Oke Fia-Lameco road, which has now been named the “Abdulfatai Adekilekun Ajadi Badmus road” in honor of an illustrious son of Osogbo land, is in fulfillment of our unwavering commitment to transform the Osun State Capital, into a modern Capital City for all Osun indigenes and non indigenes alike. The late Asiwaju of Osogbo was a true patriot, with whom we conceived the ongoing transformation of Osogbo City, and we remain committed to positively transforming the capital and the state for present and future generations. Yesterday, as part of the activities marking the second anniversary of our administration in Osun State, we held a friendly novelty football match between members of the State Executive Council and the Osun State House of Assembly, led by Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun. The match, held at the Ataoja School of Science, Osogbo, highlighted the spirit of camaraderie and collaboration between the Executive and Legislative arms in driving developmental initiatives for the benefit of the good people of Osun State since the inception of our administration two years ago. We recognize sports as a powerful unifying force for both the youth and the elderly. 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐬𝐮𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞’𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 Today, at a tripartite meeting facilitated by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Mr. Dele Alake, in Abuja, I am pleased to announce the resolution of our longstanding dispute with Segilola Mining Company. During the meeting—attended by the Minister and the management of Thor Explorations Company—we reached an amicable resolution on several key issues, including: ✅ Osun State’s shareholding in Segilola Mining Company ✅ Tax payments by the firm ✅ Environmental degradation concerns ✅ Disputed mining fields I commended the Minister’s prompt intervention and, indeed, President Tinubu’s administration for its ongoing reforms in the nation’s mining sector—a model that we are replicating to drive our own reforms in Osun State. I also expressed my appreciation to the Minister for facilitating this resolution, which has yielded positive results for our dear state. Furthermore, I reaffirmed Osun’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment that sustains existing investors and attracts new ones across all sectors. The meeting concluded with a formal resolution on the transfer of Osun State’s shareholding, along with agreements on the exchange of data related to tax claims, environmental impact, and mining field disputes. The highlight of the event was the official presentation of the Osun shareholding certificate by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Mr. Dele Alake—a significant milestone for our administration and the people of Osun State.

I have received this viral clip of Osogbo residents inspecting and commenting on the quality of work being delivered by the Imole administration at the Oke Fia flyover, Osogbo. It brings me immense joy to see our people coming out in large numbers to dispel the rumors being spread by those determined to hinder the progress of Osun State. While I deeply appreciate this unfiltered and honest assessment from the public, I appeal to the good people of Osun to allow the contractors to fully complete and certify the project as safe before making use of it. Notably, we are paying all political appointees that served under the past APC administration their half-salary arrears, including former Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji. Under the Imole Administration, we do not punish workers for their political affiliation.
