Yesterday evening, I inspected the vandalized section of the Lameco Flyover in Osogbo. I commend the hardworking engineers from the Ministry of Works who have swiftly mobilized to the site to ensure the immediate repair of the damaged section. During my visit, I received direct briefing from the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr. Bashiru Bello, on the circumstances surrounding the act of vandalism. It is unfortunate that some saboteurs, whose sole objective is to undermine our developmental strides and destroy the legacy of this administration, would resort to attacking public infrastructure built with taxpayers’ resources. I enjoin security agencies to strengthen the protection of public infrastructure across the state and ensure that those responsible for this criminal act are identified, arrested, and brought to justice. These projects belong to the people of Osun State, and every well-meaning citizen has a responsibility to protect them from acts of sabotage and vandalism. My administration remains resolute in its commitment to delivering quality infrastructure and will not be deterred by the actions of those who seek to impede our progress.

I strongly condemn the coordinated attacks carried out by pro-APC political thugs in Ile-Ife, Ede, Osogbo and other parts of our state earlier today. No political ambition is worth the blood, pain, and suffering of innocent citizens. I call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, the Inspector General of Police TUNJI DISU, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security authorities to urgently intervene and call Mr. Gboyega Oyetola Adegboyega Oyetola and the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji Bola Oyebamiji and everyone behind these provocations to order before they plunge our dear state into chaos. After receiving reports of the attacks, I personally visited affected areas and met victims receiving treatment at the Osun State Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, and the Cottage Hospital, Ede. I also paid a solidarity visit to the Osogbo Accord Chairman who survived a gunshot attack last week. I sympathize with all victims and their families. My administration will not abandon them in this difficult moment. I have directed security agencies to thoroughly investigate these incidents and ensure that every perpetrator, regardless of status or political affiliation, is brought to justice. Political differences must never degenerate into violence, intimidation, or attacks on citizens exercising their constitutional rights. Democracy thrives on dialogue, tolerance, and respect for the rule of law. I urge all residents to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding. Additional security measures are being activated across vulnerable locations, and my administration remains fully committed to protecting lives, property, and the peace of Osun State. May God grant speedy recovery to the injured and continue to preserve the peace of our beloved state.

We have also continued to provide improved seedlings for cash-crop farmers, feeds for poultry farmers, agricultural inputs and cash grants to support farmers and strengthen their businesses. Our goal is to build a thriving agricultural sector where farmers have access to modern equipment, quality inputs, financing and markets, while ensuring that food is available and affordable for every family in Osun.
