𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗯𝘂 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 Not Allow Oyetola Set Osun on Fire At the campaign rally today in Olorunda local government area, I appealed directly to Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Osun is bleeding, and our people will not be intimidated. His intervention is needed, the loss of innocent lives in Osun must stop. All we are asking for is simply a free and fair election. Mr. President must act as the father of this nation and help safeguard the democracy he fought for. I reminded the President that the 2027 general elections are also around the corner, and he should not allow his nephew, Mr. Oyetola, the Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, to ruin his name and the democracy he fought along with many others It is our collective prayer that as a country, may we never witness such incident as the political violence of 1983 particularly in the southwest. Democracy works when the people freely chose their leaders, a demand not too much for citizen of Osun State to make. #ImoleCarryOnAccordingly

Yesterday evening, I inspected the vandalized section of the Lameco Flyover in Osogbo. I commend the hardworking engineers from the Ministry of Works who have swiftly mobilized to the site to ensure the immediate repair of the damaged section. During my visit, I received direct briefing from the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr. Bashiru Bello, on the circumstances surrounding the act of vandalism. It is unfortunate that some saboteurs, whose sole objective is to undermine our developmental strides and destroy the legacy of this administration, would resort to attacking public infrastructure built with taxpayers’ resources. I enjoin security agencies to strengthen the protection of public infrastructure across the state and ensure that those responsible for this criminal act are identified, arrested, and brought to justice. These projects belong to the people of Osun State, and every well-meaning citizen has a responsibility to protect them from acts of sabotage and vandalism. My administration remains resolute in its commitment to delivering quality infrastructure and will not be deterred by the actions of those who seek to impede our progress.

IPETUMODU IN IFE NORTH IS READY TO MATCH AURA FOR AURA TO DELIVER MASSIVE VOTES FOR ACCORD Today, I was in Ipetumodu, Ife North to commission the 10.4km road that connects over 100 farm communities left abandoned by previous governments for decades. The message from the people was loud and clear: they are ready to match aura for aura, defend a government they love, and make every single vote count. No more darkness. No more neglect. I strongly condemn the coordinated attacks carried out by pro-APC political thugs in Ile-Ife, Ede, Osogbo and other parts of our state earlier today. No political ambition is worth the blood, pain, and suffering of innocent citizens. I call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, the Inspector General of Police TUNJI DISU, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security authorities to urgently intervene and call Mr. Gboyega Oyetola Adegboyega Oyetola and the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji Bola Oyebamiji and everyone behind these provocations to order before they plunge our dear state into chaos. After receiving reports of the attacks, I personally visited affected areas and met victims receiving treatment at the Osun State Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, and the Cottage Hospital, Ede. I also paid a solidarity visit to the Osogbo Accord Chairman who survived a gunshot attack last week. I sympathize with all victims and their families. My administration will not abandon them in this difficult moment. I have directed security agencies to thoroughly investigate these incidents and ensure that every perpetrator, regardless of status or political affiliation, is brought to justice. Political differences must never degenerate into violence, intimidation, or attacks on citizens exercising their constitutional rights. Democracy thrives on dialogue, tolerance, and respect for the rule of law. I urge all residents to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding. Additional security measures are being activated across vulnerable locations, and my administration remains fully committed to protecting lives, property, and the peace of Osun State. May God grant speedy recovery to the injured and continue to preserve the peace of our beloved state.

Today, in an historic event marking our administration’s second anniversary, we welcomed our father and elder statesman, the Former President of Nigeria, General Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, to the capital city of Osogbo, to commission one of our administration’s landmark projects in Osun State. The newly completed dualisation of Old Garage-Oke Fia-Lameco road, which has now been named the “Abdulfatai Adekilekun Ajadi Badmus road” in honor of an illustrious son of Osogbo land, is in fulfillment of our unwavering commitment to transform the Osun State Capital, into a modern Capital City for all Osun indigenes and non indigenes alike. The late Asiwaju of Osogbo was a true patriot, with whom we conceived the ongoing transformation of Osogbo City, and we remain committed to positively transforming the capital and the state for present and future generations. Yesterday, as part of the activities marking the second anniversary of our administration in Osun State, we held a friendly novelty football match between members of the State Executive Council and the Osun State House of Assembly, led by Rt. 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐬𝐮𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞’𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 Today, at a tripartite meeting facilitated by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Mr. Dele Alake, in Abuja, I am pleased to announce the resolution of our longstanding dispute with Segilola Mining Company. During the meeting—attended by the Minister and the management of Thor Explorations Company—we reached an amicable resolution on several key issues, including: ✅ Osun State’s shareholding in Segilola Mining Company ✅ Tax payments by the firm ✅ Environmental degradation concerns ✅ Disputed mining fields I commended the Minister’s prompt intervention and, indeed, President Tinubu’s administration for its ongoing reforms in the nation’s mining sector—a model that we are replicating to drive our own reforms in Osun State. I also expressed my appreciation to the Minister for facilitating this resolution, which has yielded positive results for our dear state. Furthermore, I reaffirmed Osun’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment that sustains existing investors and attracts new ones across all sectors. The meeting concluded with a formal resolution on the transfer of Osun State’s shareholding, along with agreements on the exchange of data related to tax claims, environmental impact, and mining field disputes. The highlight of the event was the official presentation of the Osun shareholding certificate by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Mr. Dele Alake—a significant milestone for our administration and the people of Osun State.

During my visit to the family of late Ezekiel Olapade yesterday, I reiterated that politics is not a do-or-die affair. Political killing should no longer be tolerated in our society, and I urge security agencies to bring the perpetrators of this evil act to justice. No individual should lose their life because of political differences. As a people, we must reject violence, embrace peace, and uphold the sanctity of human life. My administration remains committed to ensuring that those responsible are held accountable and that justice is served for the deceased, his family, and the good people of Osun State.
