Bikdeli added that the Taliban’s refusal to allow a U.S. military presence at Bagram stems from their religious beliefs and the Islamic principle that Muslims should not enable non-Muslims to attack other Muslims.

Abdul Hamid Khorasani, a controversial Tajik commander from Panjshir, responded to a SM post by the Pakistan's caretaker minister of information, Jan Achakzai / جان اچکزئی, stating that Afghanistan has defeated formidable adversaries like the British Empire, Russia, and America, suggesting Pakistan is insignificant. He also warned that Pakistan's own citizines, like the TTP, could destabilize Pakistan's government. Earlier today, Achakzai warned of potential Pakistani action to conquer the Wakhan corridor in Badakhshan if Pakistan faces militant attacks from Afghanistan.

𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴 Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s claim that 21 terrorist groups are based in Afghanistan, and that the planning of the deadly suicide attack in Islamabad took place there, echoes similar cross-border accusations made in 2008, by former Afghan intelligence chief Amrullah Saleh Saleh against Pakistan. While the Taliban have apparently dismantled all known ISKP cells inside Afghanistan, various reports in recent years have pointed to ISKP-linked networks or cells operating in parts of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Three main networks of ISKP reportedly exist in Bajaur, Khyber and Nowshera districts of KPK, in addition to other networks in Balochistan and beyond. Today, pro-Taliban accounts released a video of the same individual, who states in Pashtu that the photo shows him with the Taliban spokesman was four years old. He identifies himself as Jumadin from Ghazni province and says he is an ordinary Taliban soldier, not Hassan bin Laden. An interesting element of Sarah Adams’ claims about links between Al-Qaeda and the Taliban is her emphasis on marital ties. She argues that both Mullah Mohammad Omar and Jalaluddin Haqqani had multiple daughters who married into families of Al-Qaeda leaders. The claim of marital ties is untrue.

Mangal has been described by BLA and other critics as a Pakistani intelligence asset who leads a pro-government militia, called "death squad." According to Iftikhar Firdous, at least 11 of Mangal's associates have been confirmed killed, although the final casualty toll remains unclear. Some pro-Taliban accounts have previously accused Mangal of being the mastermind behind the Islamic State group in Balochistan, though these claims remain contested. The attack came on the same day Pakistan's military spokesperson said that 42 members of pro-government forces, including militias and regular security forces, had been killed over four days in attacks by the BLA and TTP in Balochistan. If the reported fatalities from today's attack are included, the total death toll would rise to 53 over the past five days in the province. Pakistan has blamed India and the Afghan Taliban for orchestrating the recent wave of violence in Balochistan.

Ghaznawi argued that armed struggle against Pakistan is a religious obligation, comparing it to the jihad waged in the past against Soviet and U.S. forces in Afghanistan. Ghaznawi was previously detained after publicly criticizing the Taliban’s ban on girls’ education and objecting to the prohibition on Afghan participation in militant activities in Pakistan.

He urged students to focus on developing those capabilities through science and ingenuity, saying intelligence and effort — not adopting Western lifestyles, Christianity, or being from America or Europe — are the path to achieving them. Agha added that Muslims possess great intellectual potential and must apply their minds and avoid laziness to build the technologies needed for defense.

Notably, the remarks by Taliban Interior Minister Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani in the video underscore the true intentions of jihadist groups that at times falsely present themselves as moderate or ‘infidel-friendly.’ Addressing ISKP, he says: “What achievement do you claim in killing a Muslim (Khalil Haqqani) and calling it an honour? To clarify the issue, I have shared videos of female police officers interviewed in recent years. A limited number of women, reportedly around 2,000 under the Taliban’s Interior Ministry in Kabul only, from various ethnic groups, are still working, mainly for tasks such as searching or processing women during security operations and in international borders. He argued that merely allowing Islamic practices does not make a country Islamic; only an Islamic system—not a republican one—can do so. In an implicit critique of the Taliban leadership, he argued that if someone rejects the obligation of jihad against Pakistan today, then they should also have rejected the obligation of jihad against the former Republic government in Kabul. "We are not fighting the Pakistani people, nor are we waging a national war. Our fight is against the Republic, which we consider to be infidelity. By fighting the Republic, we believe we are doing good for you and working to free you from it, and the Mujahideen will achieve this through their sacrifices." He expressed gratitude to the Pakistani public for hosting Afghan refugees over the past five decades. Ghaznavi also claimed that the world, including America, Europe, and Pakistan, should be grateful to Afghans for “saving them from the threat of communism” by defeating the Soviet Union.

He was known as an active anti-Taliban, pro-resistance figure, but was also arrested by Iranian authorities in 2024. The motive behind his killing remains unclear. It is not yet known whether the attack was connected to his opposition to the Taliban, his arrest in Iran, or personal disputes dating back to his tenure as a senior police official in Afghanistan. He was involved in internal political rivalries and disputes among anti-Taliban factions and recently also headed the Grand Shura of Shamali.

Munir said Pakistan has conveyed a clear message to the Taliban: they must choose between supporting the TTP or maintaining relations with Pakistan.
