The attack came on the same day Pakistan's military spokesperson said that 42 members of pro-government forces, including militias and regular security forces, had been killed over four days in attacks by the BLA and TTP in Balochistan. If the reported fatalities from today's attack are included, the total death toll would rise to 53 over the past five days in the province. Pakistan has blamed India and the Afghan Taliban for orchestrating the recent wave of violence in Balochistan.
