Check out something really, really cool 🤩 Modder GeT_RiCh, while working on the VR port of Red Dead Redemption for Quest, decided to do something crazy and impossible - he ported... GTA5 to Quest 3 🤯 And he succeeded! 🤩 Below is a video with proof – GTA5 running on Quest 3 standalone in full VR. And before you start complaining about the framerate and graphics, be aware that it's not about this being a playable version. It’s more of a proof of concept showing that something like this is possible - and it took just a few days to achieve. And if you put a few months of hard work into it, you could make this port fully playable – on hardware it theoretically shouldn't run on 😄 As you can see, the Quest 3 still has its best years ahead of it :D And what will happen when we get the next generation of standalone headsets? 😏

Titanfall 2 VR Mod by modder CircuitLord is, hands down, an absolute masterpiece 🤩 In terms of polish and immersion, it surpasses most native VR games, while also running incredibly smoothly and looking stunning. One of the best VR experiences, leaving titles like Half-Life: Alyx far behind... It’s incredible how, thanks to mods like these, 2026 went from being the worst year for VR to the absolute best. Yet, it’s a bit sad that such games couldn't be ported to VR by their developers, and eventually modders had to take matters into their own hands and work the miracles that we, VR gamers, so desperately needed...

This is Half-Life: Alyx – running natively on my Quest 3 standalone 🤯 Modder Zer0K, the creator of the Half-Life 2 VR port for Quest, has gone a step further and decided to bring the latest installment in the series - and one of the most famous VR games, HL: Alyx - to the Meta's standalone headset. He just released an early test version and now everyone can see for themselves what the Quest 3 is capable of 😮 Keep in mind, however, that this isn't the final version of the mod yet, it isn't fully playable and may suffer from frame drops - though it is a complete port of the PC version. At this stage, it serves more as a proof of concept, demonstrating that something like this can work even on a low-power, three-year-old headset. The modder hopes that this mod has good potential for future optimization and will definitely perform better. This is also proof that we live in times where everything is possible for VR 🤩 An early test version of the mod can be downloaded from here, of course it will require the original Half-Life: Alyx PCVR files and a lot of free space on your Quest's hard drive - prepare at least 70 (!) GB:
