“Can’t Let Her Get Away” 🔥

This was during the height of the sexual revolution.

The fact that Pharrell originally wrote this song for Prince still amazes me.

Imagine only being 23 years old and releasing something like this.

The way Eartha Kitt is looking at Sade 😭❤️ Two Queens in the same room. I would’ve been just as starstruck. And their birthdays are only one day apart?? Capricorn royalty.

He was only 23 years old. 🔥

TINA TURNER 😮‍💨🔥

The song that spent the longest at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Imagine only being 23 years old and releasing something like this.

Thank you, Quincy Jones, for producing the music in this iconic scene from The Wiz. The Emerald City Sequence. 🕊️

Michael Jackson’s Dangerous album is pure New Jack Swing. Nothing was watered down. “Can’t Let Her Get Away” is one of his hardest-hitting cuts. Soul Train lines were literally done to this in 1991-92.

Janet Jackson and Q-Tip slid on this timeless alt R&B/hip hop and trip-hop classic. The industry wasn’t ready. 🔥

“Wendy, Wendy, Wendy... Oh my lord, have I waited for this day.” Whitney Houston ATE Wendy Williams up LIVE on air. This was peak pop culture.

Whitney Houston with Anne Hathaway in 2001 on the set of Krystal Harris’ “Supergirl” music video for The Princess Diaries soundtrack, and behind the scenes on the set of The Princess Diaries, where she served as a producer. ✨

This moment between Whitney Houston and Monica was something special.

29 years ago today, Waiting to Exhale, starring Whitney Houston, Angela Bassett, Loretta Devine, and Lela Rochon, was released in theaters. 🔥

.billboard you forgot Janet Jackson, “That’s The Way Love Goes/If” (1993)

Destiny’s Child released “Bootylicious,” the LAST song by a girl group, to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Donna Summer was carrying Disco music on her back.

“Dance Tonight” by Lucy Pearl is exactly what summer should feel like. 🔥

Janet Jackson and Q-Tip slid on this timeless alt R&B/hip hop and trip-hop classic. The industry wasn’t ready. 🔥
