Using college stadiums to generate offseason revenue is pretty smart. Hard to get the truly huge acts to remote areas. Hotel situation is atrocious (Ocala 1k/night) but so many people live within 150min of Gainesville you can get big acts there because people can day trip it.

It’s critically important that Penn State take advantage of the easy schedule it got this year. With recruiting going as poorly as it is, they’re gonna have to show some proof of concept on the field and thankfully for them their schedule sets them up to rip off an easy 9+ wins

Notre Dame is in AUTOMATICALLY starting in 2026 if they finish top-12 (would have bumped Miami this year even though Miami beat them) And man did they ever schedule 2026 with this new exemption in mind. Brilliant negotiating and scheduling.

One reason I am not convinced the Big 12 does anything to Tech: it’s going to need Tech badly to elevate the league as it goes to take its TV deal to the open market. Tech is the only Big 12 team bringing in talent at that top level.
