🤯My goodness! I've always wanted to see Superheavy jump off the pad like that! Although I don't think this was as fast as they originally planned. But, now that the pad isn't holding the vehicle back anymore we can see the true monster thats been hiding this entire time.

When watching this in real time I was really hoping Ship 28 would magically cancel out its tumbling and wind up in the perfect orientation for re-entry. That would have been extremely impressive. I hope SpaceX will eventually say whether or not this portion of the Orbital Ballet Show was intentional. It would be amazing to see the complete uninterrupted 45 minute video from this camera angle

Since cameras were first placed outside the launch complex, I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard anything quite like this. It’s difficult to tell whether the sound was coming from ice violently shedding off the exposed cryogenic lines, or from thermal contraction within the flanged joints. Ngl at first I thought the methane tank farm was about to fall apart or something. 🎥: Avid Space

New Fire Suppression System Dramatically Increases Superheavy's Performance! While the 2nd Integrated Test Flight of Starship ultimately ended in the loss of both vehicles, it was undoubtably a massive improvement from SpaceX's first attempt. This episode is a deep dive analysis of critical upgrades to Starship Superheavy. Disclaimer: There is a very large focus placed on Booster 7 in this episode. There were a lot of lessons learned from IFT-1 and its important to understand why each of the changes to Booster 9 were necessary. Hopefully this will help make sense out of a lot of the items listed in the 63 Corrective Actions from the FAA shared by Elon Musk a few months ago. If you enjoy this then please share it! The B18.3 test article seems to have suffered a structural failure during qualification testing of the Integrated Hot Staging Ring for the V3 Booster. It appears that it buckled beneath the common dome weld which is not ideal, considering that was not the component being tested for structural integrity. Hopefully they were able to gather the data they were hoping for and won't need to replace this test article in order to complete this extremely important test. 📽️: Avid Space
