After nine long months of testing, the B18.1 Booster test article is finally being removed from the Super Crusher. Over the course of that campaign, it completed 16 cryogenic pressure tests — making it the most extensive structural qualification program we’ve seen to date, by a significant margin (followed closely by B18.3 and S39.1) To me, that level of rigor reflects more than just the technological leap between V2 and V3. It also signals a broader shift in testing philosophy in the Starship program. The changes made to Super Heavy introduce significant risk throughout every stage of pre-flight testing. Its almost equivalent to the extreme uncertainty during the Booster 7 testing campaign. In other news, after roughly two months of assembly, the 420-ton bridge crane has been jacked up to the top of the Gigabay. It’s one of eight bridge cranes that will be installed in the structure. The two larger 420-ton cranes will transfer vehicles between transport and work stands and handle breakover for horizontal transport, while the other six will be used for stacking operations. 12 hour time lapse 🎥: Avid Space

🤯My goodness! I've always wanted to see Superheavy jump off the pad like that! Although I don't think this was as fast as they originally planned. But, now that the pad isn't holding the vehicle back anymore we can see the true monster thats been hiding this entire time.

When watching this in real time I was really hoping Ship 28 would magically cancel out its tumbling and wind up in the perfect orientation for re-entry. That would have been extremely impressive. I hope SpaceX will eventually say whether or not this portion of the Orbital Ballet Show was intentional. It would be amazing to see the complete uninterrupted 45 minute video from this camera angle

Not sure what to make of this, but there appears to have been a fire in the area where SpaceX has been testing propellant gasification systems. These are suspected to be part of the orbital propellant transfer R&D program Tough to say from this angle, but this seems like it might be coming from one of the exhaust vents, instead of one of the three test stands. If thats the case, its probably not an issue. Just the first time we are seeing this particular test. 🎥: NSF - NASASpaceflight.com
