Out of all the GPT-6 news today, I feel like this completely flew under the radar because Snap buried it inside a long, dark livestream. They just showed SPECS, and unlike Meta’s current AR setup that leans on an EMG wristband, Snap is doing the interface natively through your hands + voice. The menu literally sits in your palm, lifting your hand brings up a cursor, and you can move through apps/lenses and interact with the UI directly in space with no puck or tether. The Meta wristband can still do more precise/subtle inputs and works even when your hands aren’t visible, so it’s not strictly “better.” But SPECS genuinely looks more freeing - just raise your hand and start interacting with the world around you. This is probably the closest I’ve seen AR glasses get to actually feeling natural!

Sam Altman: Within the next 6 months, a descendant of ChatGPT could: could “continuously watch your screen,” meetings and calls while maintaining the full context of your life and work. “I think we’re only one model generation away from this actually being incredibly useful.” The interviewer asked for his best estimate on timing: “Sometime in the next six months.” He never calls it GPT-6, or part of the Astra family of models. Perhaps the one after given the 6 month timeline. but this is the one of the clearest indicators heading toward AGI, - a persistent multimodal agent that understands all of your work context, what you’re doing, catches mistakes and proactively offers to work for you.

Kimi K3 was already in internal evaluation by April/May, before Fable 5 had been available long enough to be a plausibly distilled. I’ll wait for the evidence from the USG if they’ll publish it. However Kimi already outperformed Fable on BrowserComp, so if K3.1 beats Fable 5 on coding benchmarks, are people going to claim it distilled Fable 6? Obviously it’s not only distillation here. Saying “mythos” would have made a lot more sense but fable ?

I literally just watched GPT-5.5 via codex beat an Amazon customer associate in real time. 💀 I asked it to get me a refund, and I watched it navigate the settings, cancel the subscription, then it went step further into the help page. I thought it was going to request a phone call (which would prompt me to take over) Instead, it opened: “Chat with an associate now.” That’s when I sat up on my couch because I knew it was going to get real The agent said: “Your subscription is active.” And GPT-5.5 immediately explained that it only shows as active because cancellation leaves access through the billing period, but that I wanted it stopped now and refunded. And my jaw just hung open, it was the first time I watched sand handle a customer service agent for me in real time Once the agent confirmed the refund, it just ended the chat no mercy no thank you LMAO First time I’ve watched a human customer service agent get outmaneuvered by AI in real time. And it made me 15$! almost paid for itself in 5 minutes

GPT-6 Extra High vs. Kimi K3 Swarm - ECHO Start Menu Both models received the exact same prompt. I’m shocked at the quality Kimi K3 was able to output here. Its overall visual quality is above GPT-6’s and even above the menu from the actual game. However, it took significantly longer - around 3.5 hours versus GPT-6’s 42 minutes. Roughly 5× longer. GPT-6’s demo felt more realistic and stayed a lot closer to how the original menu looks. Kimi added something that GPT-6 missed, which was the interactive eye tracking. Kimi’s eyeball follows (albeit blurry and in a slightly weird way) where you click on the start screen. GPT-6’s doesn’t. • GPT-6 Extra High: approximately 46,000 generated output tokens - $2.30 in API-equivalent output cost. • Kimi K3 Swarm: estimated 250,000 generated output tokens - $3.75 in API-equivalent output cost.

Apparently this video has all of X in a frenzy. If it had come out before the AI era, people would be fawning over it as great art, but now they are so clicker trained that any mention of AI sends them into a verbiage frenzy and they anoint anything AI related as slop.

Anthropic had 16 AI agents build a C compiler from scratch. 100k lines, compiles the Linux kernel, $20k, 2 weeks. To put that in perspective GCC took thousands of engineers over 37 years to build. (Granted from 1987 - however) One researcher and 16 AI agents just built a compiler that passes 99% of GCC's own torture test suite, compiles FFmpeg, Redis, PostgreSQL, QEMU and runs Doom. They say they "(mostly) walked away." But that "mostly" is doing heavy lifting. No human wrote code but the researcher constantly redesigned tests, built CI pipelines when agents broke each other's work, and created workarounds when all 16 agents got stuck on the same bug. The human role didn't disappear. It shifted from writing code to engineering the environment that lets AI write code. I don’t know how you could make the point AI is hitting a wall.

I’m happy to say I’ve been collabing with who I think is the game demo GOAT, Matt Shumer, on his open-world NYC game. As AI models continue to get exponentially better at game development, me and Matt hope to keep pushing the bounds of what’s possible with AI game creation. It’s exciting that we’re only in 2026, and there’s still no wall in sight for the scale and complexity of what we’ll be able to create in the future.
