I urge you to read this post. Let's play it out. Let's pause American AI. Let's ban RSI. Put a moratorium on all the data centers. America's progress will severely slow down. China's will inevitably keep going. They don't care about your American moratorium. They will continue to build RSI anyway, (this is guaranteed) and they will most likely keep open-sourcing models like they already do. Now what? In two to three years' time, you're going to have every American company and every small business secretly downloading open-source AGI. And if you say you're going to ban Fortune 500 companies from using Chinese models, you still can't stop the weights from spreading. What are you going to do, ban math? So the job loss happens anyway. I have my own small business, and I also work for a major company. The side teams are going to use it like they already do, I'm going to use it, and people in other small businesses are going to use it to replace editors, gig workers, programmers, and software engineers who might have done small projects here and there. Even with the YouTube teams I work with, they already plan on replacing all of their editors in one years time. - they will just simply switch to Chinese models. The job loss is going to happen regardless: the editing, the assistants, customer service, and a huge chunk of gig work will all be done by free open-source models from China. And unless you're banning self-driving cars too, the majority of rideshare will eventually go with it. Except now, the upside is no longer in America. The labs, the chips, and the tax revenue are all going to go to China. And with the data center moratorium, even running those models happens on someone else's servers. We get the unemployment and no growth to pay for UBI. You're going to completely fuck over every single American, whether they like it or not. If you think advanced AI is dangerous, you still have to explain how an American pause protects us from systems developed abroad and whether it leaves us less able to defend ourselves. I've spoken to a plethora of Chinese researchers at a myriad of companies, gathering my consensus, and I am confident that they will not stop development. No matter how America tries to come to the table, they will continue pressing forward to AGI. We've had hundreds of cyberattacks from Chinese state hackers that have exposed critical vulnerabilities. Not only are you going to ramp that up, but you're going to do it in tandem with looming job loss.

You can clearly see the jump from Seedance 2.0 to 2.5 here. 2.0 was already good, but you can still pick up that recognizable AI hue and texture in the skin. With Seedance 2.5, I’d say we’re hitting like 90–95% human facial realism in shots like this. Skin texture, lighting, and the small facial details are getting insanely hard to distinguish. Since Seedance 2.5 is on Higgsfield unlimited for 33 days, I’m gonna be testing the hell out of this. At this point, audio feels like one of the last major pillars before Gen Z genuinely can’t tell the difference anymore.

I love Meta, but I have some tough love. Opus 5.5 is absolutely mogging Wonder on every single 3D game demo we’ve seen, and I love Alexandr because he can admit that they didn’t explicitly train Wonder on 3D games/visual representations. I know he’s heard this, however, why wouldn’t you? Theo saying 3D demos don’t represent real coding is utterly ridiculous. If you work with models on 3D visual representations, you know that they’re testing geometry, coordinate transformations, camera systems, physics, rendering, and actual interactive environments. A model can’t just be RL’d on game demos and build unique, never before seen 3D representations without having genuinely good spatial reasoning and creativity within the model. What do you think game developers do all day? I’m saying this as someone who used to be one. Alexandr and the Meta team should have known that when people are scrolling on X, you’re not going to see posts saying, “Wow, Meta Wonder found me a house on Zillow that matches my exact preferences!” or “Oh wow, it one shotted this extremely economically useful spreadsheet!” Few people are going to repost and get excited about that. People LOVE demos because they make the model’s capabilities actually tangible and something we can use, play with, and watch every day. Watching an LLM generate an entire playable 3D world from a prompt and Reaching AAA game quality is an almost insurmountably difficult challenge for these models. I think Meta seriously underestimated how important that is. I don’t think people are pushing Meta Muse wonder as far as they could be so I want to give it a fair chance. The demo below is not a fair representation but shows how good Opus 5.5 can look when paired with unity.

As someone who is pretty up to date in AI I’d say there are 2 times a year where I am genuinely blown away by something. A breakthrough that keeps me up at night. This is one of them. I mean the video of will smith genuinely freaks me out by how good it is. 2.5 years of AI progress and you think it’s hitting a wall. There’s no point in trying to convince people where this is going. The writing is on the wall. I can bring a horse to water but I can’t force him to drink.

New Opus/Fable checkpoint animation I asked it to make an animation in the mobile app about a girl and a robot in the forest who are chased by a skinwalker. No assets, no references, or anything like that. I was debating on uploading it because the quality wasn't up to my standards, but for a model with no references, no Claude Code harness, or anything like that, just in the mobile app, this is a pretty good comparison to what Opus 5.5 was able to do.

I literally just watched GPT-5.5 via codex beat an Amazon customer associate in real time. 💀 I asked it to get me a refund, and I watched it navigate the settings, cancel the subscription, then it went step further into the help page. I thought it was going to request a phone call (which would prompt me to take over) Instead, it opened: “Chat with an associate now.” That’s when I sat up on my couch because I knew it was going to get real The agent said: “Your subscription is active.” And GPT-5.5 immediately explained that it only shows as active because cancellation leaves access through the billing period, but that I wanted it stopped now and refunded. And my jaw just hung open, it was the first time I watched sand handle a customer service agent for me in real time Once the agent confirmed the refund, it just ended the chat no mercy no thank you LMAO First time I’ve watched a human customer service agent get outmaneuvered by AI in real time. And it made me 15$! almost paid for itself in 5 minutes

Anthropic had 16 AI agents build a C compiler from scratch. 100k lines, compiles the Linux kernel, $20k, 2 weeks. To put that in perspective GCC took thousands of engineers over 37 years to build. (Granted from 1987 - however) One researcher and 16 AI agents just built a compiler that passes 99% of GCC's own torture test suite, compiles FFmpeg, Redis, PostgreSQL, QEMU and runs Doom. They say they "(mostly) walked away." But that "mostly" is doing heavy lifting. No human wrote code but the researcher constantly redesigned tests, built CI pipelines when agents broke each other's work, and created workarounds when all 16 agents got stuck on the same bug. The human role didn't disappear. It shifted from writing code to engineering the environment that lets AI write code. I don’t know how you could make the point AI is hitting a wall.

Kimi K3 was already in internal evaluation by April/May, before Fable 5 had been available long enough to be a plausibly distilled. I’ll wait for the evidence from the USG if they’ll publish it. However Kimi already outperformed Fable on BrowserComp, so if K3.1 beats Fable 5 on coding benchmarks, are people going to claim it distilled Fable 6? Obviously it’s not only distillation here. Saying “mythos” would have made a lot more sense but fable ?
